  1. Airsoft =/= precision engineering. Although that is pretty poor.
  2. Do you have a picture of it on? Where on the gun is the sling attached to? It sounds to me like the sling you have is too short for what you want but it may be how you're wearing it. If you're right handed, try putting it on over your right shoulder and under your left arm. That should help position the gun off to one side so it doesn't rub in the centre of your plate carrier. Have a watch of this You may decide that actually a two point sling or a convertible 2 to 1 point sling might be better.
  3. If you want to keep it correct, it's a shotgun. IIRC it's an 870 with a spas12 handgrip on it.
  4. I've bought plenty of stuff from there and it's been fine. I assumed you had a para because you mentioned it in your post and put up a pic of one.
  5. Not sure if it'll fit the Para specifically but there's a few on Shapeways https://www.shapeways.com/product/K7S7HCJ24/aug-high-cycle-bottom-picatinny-rail-13-slots
  6. In this case, a brick and mortar store in Surrey so high overheads too.
  7. They have a reputation for doing good work which (much like Stella) is "reassuringly expensive". Whether or not that reputation is deserved or not is up for debate of course but you pays your money, you takes your choice. Some stuff he's not all that pricey for, when I was looking at a HiCapa he was pretty much around the market price for everything. The stuff he resells from TWG does take the piss a bit though. Fortunately for me I live near enough to DCA that I could just pop in to pick something up if I really needed to.
  8. I like you, you're funny. DCA custom shop stuff is expensive and stays that way.

  10. I've got three and I'm still upset I missed it.
  11. Worst is pretty easy - Socom Gear M9A1. Rattled like a bag of spanners, mostly vented gas at random points through any given mag. No discernable accuracy. Looked nice though. Best for out of the box range and accuracy has been my Cyma M14 SOCOM. Whether it stays that way remains to be seen, repairs are underway after my tactical tumble. Overall best though is probably my Specna SA-A03. Bought it bloody ages ago when SA were a new thing and still OEM'd by E&C. It has one of the old red Maxx hop units with the tracer bits, ML rubber and a ZCi barrel, and a Gate Titan with an Ultimate Infinity 30k motor. Anything else is cosmetic but it's been ridiculously reliable, decent range and good accuracy.
  12. OK, yes I was a little simplistic there but to be brutally honest, once you get over about 200mm (ish) barrel length doesn't make that much difference for something like an M4. 10" is a good sweet spot in that it's long enough to be reasonably accurate but not so long as to be cumbersome. 5" will likely suffer from the Stormtrooper effect (where you'll hit literally everything around what you're trying to hit but not the actual target) unless you're doing super close CQB type games. In terms of power difference, you'll probably notice more of an issue if you went from a full length 14.5" (363mm inner) right down to a 5" (pointless inner) than between a 7 and a 10 for example. As long as you're not hugely over or under voluming (ie matching the cylinder type to your barrel length) you'll be fine. Main things to be thinking about is the quality of the bore in your inner barrel and the consistency of your hop unit/nub/bucking combination.

  14. If you look at where the adjusters are it looks like it's the outer cover that's wonky. Sight itself seems to be sat properly.
  15. Pretty sure the only people still selling the old school CA stuff are in HK. Not sure CA even make that much old school stuff any more.
  16. Any particular reason why you want to change it?
  17. Short stroking a DMR? No.
