  1. Ah but do you need to improve it?
  2. Are you trying to achieve a specific look? If not the best bet for a metal body for a G&G gun is the G&G metal bodies I linked to. As jcheeseright said the blowback gearbox in your gun isn't necessarily going to fit into another manufacturers body. I know it's very easy for us all to sit here and tell you to spend more than you really want to but honestly - learn from our mistakes. We've already spent more time, effort and money than strictly speaking necessary to get where you want to so save your cash and either get a different gun or buy the right parts in the first place. It's not the big parts that catch you out it's things like - does the new receiver come with a charging handle? If not, will the old charging handle fit properly? If it does, will the new charging handle clear the gearbox properly? Will the wiring still fit where it needs to? Is the hop unit compatible with the receiver (rare that you find one that isn't to be fair but it happens). It WILL NOT be as straightforward as it seems on the surface. All that said - the things I've learned throughout the experience will serve me well as I continue to airsoft and no doubt get badgered to fix my mates guns!
  3. Can you solder? It's really NOT that hard. You could try Kingdon of Airsoft in Dundee http://www.kingdomofairsoft.com/
  4. Stop beating around the bush and say what you really mean!
  5. I have the newer KK2 version of that FET and it does do some cool stuff as plug and play (burst fire for example) but not the things you're looking for. If you go to the manufacturers website you can download a copy of the manual http://www.aegwizard.com/uploads/BURST_WIZARD_KING_KONG_SUPER_user_manual_7_0.pdf You program it by a number of trigger pulls and the LED flashes to confirm what you've done. It's a nice FET but you do really need it hardwired.
  6. It's a niggling issue that most manufacturers don't seem to be able to get right. My old TM body fitted on differently in as much as it clipped over the gearbox instead of sliding on around it. That means that they can fit a little cable channel to guide the wires out of the way. The replacement metal receiver I have slides on so any space that was there before is taken up by the extra thickness of the metal. Pain. In. The. Arse.
  7. Theoretically yes, but in practice - probably not. For instance I fitted a Dytac metal receiver set onto my old TM M4A1 to replace the plastic body and two piece hop unit. Suffice to say it would have been cheaper with a better end result to just replace the old TM with a G&G CM16 carbine. It is NEVER as easy as it should be!
  8. Thanks for joining us, some interesting stuff there.

  10. Anyone ordered thourgh Gunfire or Taiwangun recently? Thinking of getting an AK, wondered how customs are being at the moment.

Sweet. Now to sell some stuff to make room. And money.

  11. Actually - that's not me but I do have a set of FX TK armour in a box waiting to get made. Love the Fett outfits though. Do you ever do the UK Garrison/trooping thing or is it just for fun?
  12. It's all about "Operation Let The Kids Run Out and Get Shot First" in my book.
  13. I don't think asking for peoples opinions and recommendations is being "spoon fed". There's no harm in wanting to learn from the experience of others.

What are these "download limits" of which you speak?
  15. Who mentioned soldering? You still have to wire it in.
  16. Nope, has to be wired in. Like all the best mosfets

Hardline? Downloaded it, played it. Quite like it.
  18. I can see the problem with fitting to the SCAR though. I had a look at mine and there's a couple of issues - there's bugger all space in the stock other than where the fuse holder is and then you need to bridge the hinge on the stock. Personally I think I'd look at opening it up and seeing if there's any space in the receiver but I'd still go with the Gate Pico.

It's because you're all jealous. It's ok, we understand.

I'll just leave this here... http://www.computerandvideogames.com/468452/destiny-on-pc-is-a-natural-fit-says-activision-exec/?cid=OTC-RSS&attr=CVG-General-RSS&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  21. True, but as dex just said, without wiring it in you will still be passing full current through the trigger contacts plus you'll have to wait for the mosfet to react before you get a shot out. It'll be a small increase in time but it's there nonetheless.
  22. Ah yeah, just looked at mine - no space is there. Maybe if you put the Nano in where the fuse sits? Only problem is that without wiring in the trigger contact you don't get the improved trigger response.
  23. So how about getting the Pico SSR and wiring it in but on the fixed side of the stock? As in the bit that stays attached to the gun when you take the battery out.
