    Have you checked there's nothing obscuring the barrel exit? Nothing stuck in your flash hider that might be skewing the rounds as they leave the barrel?

    Funky looking lid! The Dye i4 visor only works so well because of the rest of the i4 mask system. On its own it probably won't be so good. What you could do though is get a hard neoprene lower mask and use goggle clips to attach it to the rails on a MICH/FAST type helmet:

      Showed it to the boss (I'm at work right now) and he said "it looks second hand" and "I don't like the way they've finished that bit" (while poking at the wooden handguard). "It's an AK, that's how they're supposed to look" I said. Bloody heathen.

      Just need to change the spring for something a little more CQB friendly and we're laughing (unmodified they apparently do about 400fps).

      Yeah, my MP5 was doing something ridiculous like that OOB. Still the best performing gun I've ever handled though!

    Unless you're aiming to build a specific loadout just use what's most comfortable and does the job you need it to. If you end up with the MTP UBACS and the NI rig then so be it.

    Just hit the button on a CYMA AKS74U. £130 in the sale from Airsoft Armoury. Nice.

    Used to wear Magnum Patrols but recently replaced them with a pair of Meindl Desert Foxes. Much nicer! Neither are good for woodland though. The Magnum sole wasn't aggressive enough for mud and the Meindls aren't waterproof!

    The cheapest way is to attach rails to the existing handguard http://ant-supplies.co.uk/Pages/HandguardRails.aspx Buy two - one for underneath to take the foregrip and one for the top to take the torch. They'll need the deft use of a drill to make holes for the screws but it'll be the single cheapest way unless you can find a second hand Magpul style one (assuming you have the right kind of Delta Ring).

    This thread interests me. I want a helmet because I usually just wear a baseball cap (backwards mostly to protect my neck) but keep getting hit in the D shaped hole where the adjuster is (I swear people aim for it!). Thing is I have a MASSIVE head and I sweat like a paedophile in Mothercare so....what's the airiest helmet that's still worth wearing?

    The Mk1 was pretty. The Mk3 was just nasty 80's slab sided ick. Sorry. Also - why did we get the Capri when the Aussies got the Ford Falcon XB? Lucky gits.
