Now looking at the Ares G36K as that has a quick spring change system so i hear and the plastic is better quality. Think the best thing to do is go to combat south this weekend and ask how comfortable they are in modding a murai as being my first gun there's no way i'd open it up that far. Saying that the site does say that do maintenance and custom work and half the guns they sell are Murai's so i'd guess they'd be used to playing around with them.

Completely agree. I saw the second image i posted and thought that looks cool and what I'm after. Done a little digging on their youtube and the company encourages their own aiming style as the helmet is so huge. What I'm after is basically more information and variations as i want to make my own which will be more like the ebay one posted. In making my own, hopefully i can make it a bit more compact and smaller so it's a lot more practical. Not guna buy it. Would be more interested if they had a black version but very helpful source.

Oh man, that's like the only criticism that worries me and puts me off. Surely you can increase the power easily enough without messing with the accuracy by changing the spring or something.

Do you know where to source them? I can only find the mandibles by this company which costs a fortune, i think that lower half is like $550. I'll have a look into a neoprine lower section. My mate is getting the mich/fast helmet so i can have a look at that as I'm still quite worried that it's far to large to be practical. Good shout on the poly carbonate. I'm thinking ob maybe getting those cheapie paint ball masks with the plastic visor so i can cut a good shape or if decent enough just use that instead. And you're right the DYE on it's own probably wont cut it, need more vents.

Unfortunetly having a nose like a roman i can't wear the lower face mask mesh comfortable and though there might be some goggles/glasses that fit me my GF used to be a dental nurse and some of the things shes seen scares the **** out of me as i hate the dentist. So was looking at some helmets and came across this: How bad-ass is that?? I'll have a look into the plexi glass, whats bothering me is how big the helmet, using a motorcycle visor will make it quite large as well i think. My other option was to get a DYE i4 visor for £20 and work around that, apparently they are awesome for anti fog.

Evening all, I was looking at at airsoft helmets/masks and came across this: Now a company called Revision sell these for $1200 or something like that and doing a bit of research these are quite bulky like a motorcycle helmet which has means you have to aim in a unique way. I wouldn't mind making a new helmet/compact which was tighter but has the same design. Can anyone recommend a visor plastic which i can cut/shape which will withstand 550fps at most? Not sure if plexiglass can withstand airsofting. Regards,

Thanks for the feedback mate, good to hear another positive opinion about this gun. Obviously i would leave this to people who know what they're doing but does changing to a tightbore barrel or a higher spring mean opening the 'TM magic' parts?

Evening all. I'm new'ish to air-soft, rented a few times and nearly able to purchase. Went down to combat south store in Portsmouth recently and had my eyes set on a G36C. I've always liked the look of G36's and the C looked easier to work with. Unfortunately the C wasn't on the wall only the G36K. Picked it up and fell in love with it. The owner said it was the Murui G36K and cost an arm and a leg. The owner said how the power isn't immense as the £180 version because of Japanese laws or something but the hop up unit is so precise it just shoots straight, and the recoil was one of the best. http://www.airsoftgames.com/marui-g36k-p-951.html I can't find a single bad review of the gun across the net apart from the plastic is quite shiny but can be replaced by other manufacturers. What is anyone else opinion weather you own one or knew a guy or even heard things? As this would be my first rifle i don't mind hearing opinions about how stupid i am buying something that expensive but it's like buying your first sports car - you can't really change your mind no matter how much your elders start saying don't do it... Money isn't to much of an issue however, not rich just sold a bunch of things recently. Can someone tell me: - Can i use standard Hi-cap mags on the rifle? - Can i increase the FPS without messing with the accuracy? - Linked onto that question, can i change to a tightbore barrel without messing the accuracy? (on some google searches i had heard some people doing this) Feedback will be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
