  1. I'd rather they stick with the useage rules they have (single level only, no higher than knee height unless posting around a doorway). A cheap plastic helmet won't give you much protection against a fist sized lump of metal.
  2. I'll try and confirm the details tonight but as I remember it someone dropped a BFG from the upper level of the Malls and it landed on someone below. Either way, coma, legal action etc. Messy business all round. I honestly don't see how ANYONE could justify hitting someone in the head/face with one of those things as "all part of the game". I certainly don't consider potential brain damage as a risk worth taking when I go out to play.
  3. "how do you know what he listens to" not "how do you know he's 13".
  4. I have to say though, I know actual paras that wouldn't sit and listen to that!
  5. Yes, that's the kiddy. The main part goes in line with the battery then the trigger contacts are wired to a small black connector that goes into the small socket on the mosfet board. If you go to the gate electronics website you can download the instructions.
  6. A guy got hit in the head with a bfg and ended up in a coma for two months. The guy that threw the grenade got sued for it. Personally I don't see how ANY part of "realism" is worth either one of those outcomes.
  7. And that is PRECISELY why The Malls has such strict rules on the use of training grenades. Like they say in the brief - would you want to get hit in the face with a lump of metal that weighs the same as half a house brick?
  8. No more harmful than any other pyro going off in someones face. Or should I say "equally dangerous"? Either way, you could throw a Mk5 at someones face just as easily.

thats rather cool love stuff like that, amazes me there are humans on earth that clever to make this stuff happen

  9. In theory, yes. It's basically the same trick people use to make Scalextric cars go faster.
  10. Take it to your nearest tech then. Where abouts are you?

  12. You sir, are weird. But fair play to you, if that's what you like!
  13. Mortar launched pyro is classed as Category 4 under BS7114 and are ONLY available to professionals who have to provide proof of training on purchasing. https://www.gov.uk/fireworks-the-law
  14. *ahem* Gate *ahem* As for install - anyone that can 1) take apart a gearbox and 2) solder. It's really not that hard.
  15. *facepalm Music - normal, musical, non propaganda, made after the 1970's music.
  16. Jesus wept, do you ever just listen to y'know - music?
  17. Again - hardwired. Plug and play won't protect your trigger contacts anyway. Personally I'd recommend Gate Electronics. The NanoAAB active braking one is what I have in my M4 (the older version anyway) and it's a great little bit of kit. Only £35 from Fire Support too.
  18. Not that much else inside to be fair. The VFC/TM difference is basically the externals and the way they're put together. The TM ones use a lot of screws and are mostly plastic, the VFC ones are pinned together and are mostly metal. Mostly.
  19. Main gun is a G&G SCAR-L which is fantastic but will soon be even better once my BTC Spectre MOSFET arrives! Secondary guns which get alternate days out are my (originally) TM franken-M4 and a CYMA AKS-74U. Every now and then my M249 para comes out to play too .
  20. Too Long; Didn't Read basically shorthand for "in case you can't be bothered to read all that"
  21. Is it the one in the Electric for sale section on here? If so then it looks like an advanced. Spiked flash hider is the clue.
