  1. Not that much else inside to be fair. The VFC/TM difference is basically the externals and the way they're put together. The TM ones use a lot of screws and are mostly plastic, the VFC ones are pinned together and are mostly metal. Mostly.
  2. Main gun is a G&G SCAR-L which is fantastic but will soon be even better once my BTC Spectre MOSFET arrives! Secondary guns which get alternate days out are my (originally) TM franken-M4 and a CYMA AKS-74U. Every now and then my M249 para comes out to play too .
  3. Too Long; Didn't Read basically shorthand for "in case you can't be bothered to read all that"
  4. Is it the one in the Electric for sale section on here? If so then it looks like an advanced. Spiked flash hider is the clue.
  5. About what? You have to bear in mind that song is of a very different time and a very partisan viewpoint.
  6. I presume this is second hand then? If it's the advanced version with the fold out LED torch and laser then absolutely (assuming it's in good, working condition and both batteries and mags work fine). If it's the standard (which is plastic rather than NRP) then it needs to be pretty damn good condition for my money. Either way the internals will be the same and yes, they are good guns. I've skirmished with one and it was great apart from the delta nut coming loose but that is a 5 second fix with the right tool. TL;DR go for it.
  7. It's a decent enough gun, but I believe there are two versions. One is plastic (not so good) and the other is nylon reinforced polymer (very good). The polymer one costs slightly more if I remember correctly. Either way a great little ggunand a good base for upgrades. Just beware that while they look similar the furniture is not magpul but a "look a like" style by g&g.
  8. Check at the bottom for a small grub screw. There was one on my aks74u thread adapter.
  9. Astigmatism does make contact lenses a tricky proposal but not impossible by any means.
  10. Or screw it up completely if you don't know what you're doing...
  11. If the outside wears quickest then you either underpronate or possibly you are a "heel striker". I tend to walk on the balls of my feet. Get your gait analysed though, definitely worthwhile. Plenty of good running stores can do it too but might charge.
  12. Ah but if that was what you were doing you'd take it apart and do it properly. Wouldn't you?
  13. As a custom painter I don't even know where to begin with this. Any paint (Krylon included) will always adhere better to a bare substrate with the correct primer. Not all primers are the same either - metal primer will not work on plastics for example. In the case of Krylon and airsoft guns then you need to make sure that you either use the range of Krylon that has a built in plastic adhesion promoter (Fusion they're called) or use an appropriate primer. Unless of course you want to achieve the look alluded to by Jcheeseright up there which is that of an actual battle worn weapon. Of course, if that's what you want don't even worry about thin layers. I doubt very much that a L33T Oper8tor gives a crap about long term paint adhesion or even runs/fingerprints/fisheyes and all the other joys that come with paint. I doubt they even care if the fire selector leaves a little black mark when they move it.
  14. It can do. Depends on the cause. Mine is quite often weight related but I've lost three stone since Christmas so I'm hoping it's gone for good. If you don't wear proper, well fitted footwear you can make it come back. It's worth seeing if your local hospital has an orthotics dept. They can usually do gait analysis and recommend what type of footwear you need. I under-pronate (basically my feet don't roll inwards when I walk so I tend to walk on the outside of my feet) which means I need trainers with maximum cushioning and little to no arch support. My GP thought I had fallen arches which would have steered me down completely the wrong avenue for footwear!
  15. Fobus make a light bearing holster for glocks. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/271259144836?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&chn=ps&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108&ff19=0 It may still need a bit of fettling to make sure there's no interference with that particular torch of course.
  16. What's your budget? Any brand of walking boots that has GTX or GoreTex in the name would be OK.
  17. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is filming just around the corner from my office!

      Hooray! Another sh*tty zombie film!

  18. Although I think you meant Rogue Trooper there not Strontium Dog (what with the Helm, Gunnar and Bagman references)
  19. Except an L85 IS a gun. It is also a rifle of course but then "rifle" is just a sub set of "gun".
  20. I'll be making a donation but as I look 12 when I shave I'll be keeping my current beard for the duration. Fantastic cause though.
