  1. I'd love it if every cheap, online retailer could actually keep their stock levels accurate (it's why I don't buy from ebairsoft) but it remains that they are trying to sort the problem for you. Two days isn't that long to wait for a response when their reaction could have been "it's out of stock, tough".
  2. Sooooo...... you ordered an item and two days later they have admitted a problem and that they are doing their best to sort it out. I fail to see where the problem is other than you being impatient. Which is odd as if you want something that quickly - why order it from a Hong Kong based retailer?
  3. +1 for the G&G Combat Machine is you're not married to full metal. It's one of the most popular guns for a reason! I'd certainly recommend it over any of the D-Boys, CYMA or JG metal ones.
  4. No gun will be COMPLETELY metal. There are always plastic parts - the pistol grip and stock at a bare minimum. Only the cheapest guns tend to have plastic gearboxes but even the higher cost ones can have plastic minor parts. THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM. Too many people get hung up on the idea that a gun has to be "full metal" when in reality a polymer gun or even a plastic gun can be just as reliable and robust.
  5. !!!SWEEPING GENERALISATION ALERT!!!! The single biggest problem I can see with starting an airsoft shop (and which seems to be borne out by most of the posts here) is that by and large the airsoft community is split into two camps. The ones that do it on a shoestring budget (the beginners, the scrimpers and the ones that just can't justify spending more than £200 on their entire kit) and the gucci milsim realism junkies that will happily spend a crapping fortune on a charging handle "because it's what THE TEAMS use". No single shop can ever hope to properly cater for both ends of the spectrum as the former will think that the big spenders are elitist wankers and the they in turn will consider the cheap kit worthy only of derision (which they will happily stand at the counter and tell you all about). TL:DR you can't please all the people all the time.
  6. So is there a standard doctrine for pouch placement then? I'd have thought a lot more personal choice would come through on that? Genuine question BTW.
  7. +1 on that. I'd say it's equally important for parts too. In these enlightened times of people being more than happy to buy online a range of items of varying price needs stocking. It's all very well having a glass display cabinet full of gucci gun jewelry but if someone just wants a clone part because that's what they can afford, you need to stock them too. Make sure your supplier can get hardware to you at a sensible cost that won't screw the pooch on margins too. My local shop for instance buys a lot of stuff in at a relatively high cost. By the time they put on a margin cheap, imported clone parts cost almost what the high end branded stuff does!
  8. If you're dead set on a full metal then personally I'd expect to budget £250-300 for a decent G&G http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/m4_and_m14_variants.html one. The one in your picture looks like a G&P to me in which case you should probably bump that up to between £300-350 http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/M4.html All of that of course assumes you already have your UKARA and you don't need a two tone gun.
  9. Get a decent mosfet then. A lot less hassle than dicking about with gears.
  10. Didn't say that though, did you? Buddy of mine has one though if you're after pics of specific parts?
  11. The Malls won't let you use anything you can't bend. ISTR cold steel ones are stiffer.
  12. If it's not been modified then it should be mini tamiya.

  14. UK Tactical have a pretty comprehensive sale on at the minute: http://www.uktactical.com/c-616-sale-items.aspx
  15. The only guns I've had issues with are the ones I've messed about with. Oh...wait....
  16. I'd say he's better off with LiPo batteries and a decent MOSFET personally.
  17. Looks like console only at the minute though
  18. Best get used to it though guys, Hardline is now one of DICE's franchises. Reports are suggesting that there will be a three year rolling release cycle of Battlefield, Hardline and Star Wars Battlefront (which to be fair is getting me far more excited than Hardline).
  19. All of that is fine for high speed - the OP is looking for high torque.
  20. As above really - the B&T one is the kiddy. I have the Dytac one purely for aesthetics and the fact that it fits the QD threading on my SCAR flash hider. It's way overpriced to be honest but it does work well (after a bit of adjustment to line up the inner barrel. Its one major drawback is having to take the guts out to turn it off and on (the B&T one has a little switch externally).
  21. I have an m60 and it's foookin brilliant!
  22. Might do. The beta was pretty interesting.
