  1. 1) It's not been released 2) why do you want to see a video of a 12 year old getting shot?

    Ukara number ??

That's the relevant part. It's about being registered on the database not issued with some special "UKARA" number. If you're buying from a local shop that is aware of the site then your membership card alone may well be sufficient defence for them. You could of course have said retailer put you on the database (assuming they're a UKARA registered retailer that is).
  3. It's not just UKARA that takes no note of forces membership. I was witness to a serving (uniformed) member of the Royal Engineers having to fill out the Home Office form when buying pyro. Unfortunately rules is rules. Being in the army is no validation that you won't buy a RIF just to go and wave it about in a shopping centre!
  4. Wouldn't membership of a target shooting club qualify as defence though?

    Ukara number ??

Yeah.....that's not entirely true. Site membership is a valid defence in its own right. My UKARA number is also my site membership number too.
  6. Lets all calm the fuck down shall we? http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2014/nov/25/cleveland-police-video-officer-shooting-boy-clear There has been no mention of race in any report of this case. This implies that either the Police officer was also "of colour" (and let's face it, it's Cleveland - he was probably black) or that is NOT an issue in this case. Secondly, gun crime in Ohio is above the national average. Gun ownership in the US is - as we all know - widespread, so just because a child has a gun in a playground it doesn't automatically equate that it is more likely to be a toy. According to all reports thus far released, while the 911 call said that the gun was "probably a toy" this information was not passed to the officer who then faces a situation that anyone would have to take as worst case. Now, whether it was by panic or by design the boy went to pull the gun out of his waistband when he was told to put his hands up by an armed police officer. As a youth in the US he should have known the likely outcomes of this scenario but putting that aside (he's 12 after all) this was a spectacularly stupid thing to do. Who had taken the orange tip off the gun is irrelevant as the tip of the gun would not have been visible if it was tucked into his waistband. There is video of the encounter that apparently clearly shows what happened (although it hasn't been released to the press) and the officer was less than 10 feet away. If the officer on the scene couldn't tell from that distance if the gun was real or fake then it was clearly sufficiently real looking to convince the officer that it was a real gun. Put yourself in his shoes for a moment - you're in a state with higher than average gun crime faced with someone with what appears to be a real weapon. When asked to put their hands up, that person reaches for the gun. Are you really going to wait and see if he pulls out a real gun and starts shooting? It's a tragic situation that should have been avoided but it stands that if you take a realistic weapon out in public in the US, you need to take responsibility for your actions.
  7. The 12 year old that got shot in Cleveland was black, yes. The situation in Ferguson is a more deeply rooted problem involving a community with a predominantly black poorer population and a predominantly white police force.
  8. This contains so much stupid it should carry a health warning.
  9. Obvious question but have you cleaned the barrel out?
  10. I get what you're saying there Russell and yes your suggestion of a backpack or a drop leg is useful. We've all made the mistake of getting something because it looks OK and is cheap only to discover it was a useless waste of money but I don't think it's fair for people to jump in straight off (not saying you were I'm speaking generally now) and tell that person that their mags are wrong or they should have bought X/Y/Z type of vest etc. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I wish more people would ask for the advice BEFORE they commit their funds (if nothing else I'm sure there's plenty of us with old kit to pass on). Also - some of the replies here would point to people just not reading the original post.
  11. Sounds to me like people need to stop telling the guy that everything he's already bought is wrong and that he has to go spend money on slightly different versions of stuff he's already got. I see this time and again here and elsewhere. Someone says they already bought a vest and a primary with hi-caps so what does everyone say he needs next? A different load carrying system and mid caps. FFS.
  12. If you want a pistol, go for it.
  13. Tippmann have been around for donkeys tears so they should be able to make a decent HPA gun no problem. Of course the world of airsoft is a spectacularly cliquey one and plenty of people that want to go HPA won't buy it just because it ISN'T a P*. I'd have one.
  14. I honestly think this thread needs a title change to "Boy killed for being a dick". I mean, come on, seriously he was waving a replica weapon about and when challenged by armed police he failed to comply and starting showing them the gun. What EXACTLY did he expect?
  15. Technically - technically - it's illegal to take sand from a beach in the UK. You bad boy, you.
  16. Sorry to hear about that. People that say "why are you so upset, it's just a dog" will never understand.
  17. YAY! Dogs! I like dogs. Dogs are most l33t pets. This was mine as a small feet seeking missile: and now fully grown into an efficient eating and sleeping machine of doom: Captured in a rare moment of being actually awake.
  18. Actually - it might be a bot small for 3 day pack unless you plan on travelling light. There's a bit of a rambling video but it does show the size quite well.
  19. Will do. Looking to use it to cut down the amount of crap I carry to games, I usually use an 90 litre deployment bag and it weighs as much as the moon when it's full!
  20. Just managed to get a Pentagon Assault pack (finally in stock at UK Tactical)

    Screws

The magazine screw you should be able to get from Maplin. The grub screw that holds the sight adjuster knob on you could try Halfords but more likely you'll need a proper hardware/engineering supplies type shop.
  22. They fit in WAS 5.56 pouches but only one at a time (unlike the M4 mags which you can fit 2 in) the top flap should work too as long as you don't adjust it too short.
