  1. As M_P says you need to check what regulations your chosen site has in place for auto capable assault rifles. Chances are you'll not be allowed anything over 350FPS. That said you could still get the gun as close to the limit as possible and while you're at it improve the range/accuracy.
  2. I have M90 springs in pretty much all my guns (granted that's because the Mall limit is quite low). If you've got a decent airseal you should easily see 330FPS.
  3. Yeah, uses the microphone to read the noise your gun makes. Fine if you don't mind strapping £500 worth of smartphone to the side of your gun.
  4. I get that. Did you have a specific design in mind? Like Samurai's but with a closed mouth maybe?
  5. There will be a difference in range between 300 FPS and 450 FPS but 450 is into bolt action sniper rifle territory. Unless you have your gearbox limited mechanically to semi only I doubt any site would entertain you going that high with an AEG. If you do want to go DMR why not look at a completely different kind of gun? M14/SR25/SVD?

    Best bbs?

They're for target shooting. There's a few "re-usable" types designed for target shooting or for zeroing your sights that are made out of ceramics and such. Cost a ridiculous amount of money but then they're not supposed to be used in skirmishes!
  7. ooo yeah, forgot about that! Not cheap mind... http://www.helmetworld.co.uk/airsoft-xcortech-x3300w-tracer-unit-torch-bbs-chronograph-mosfet-all-in-1-black-37270-p.asp
  8. Have you tried using your TM outdoors yet? There's every chance you won't actually need anything else anyway.
  9. There's one in the new HALO assault rifle. I believe it works in a similar way to a tracer in that it has a break beam sensor in the barrel which is then used to count the BBs as they leave the gun. I very much doubt you could modify a step counter to your purpose if you lack the electronics skill to make one from scratch to be honest (not trying to be rude). Maybe have an ask around and see if you know anyone that could build one for you.
  10. Are you sure it didn't have a downgraded spring to start with? I'd go with the M90 and be done with it. Bear in mind though that not all M90 springs are created equal...
  11. There's no legal basis really. Companies are free to make whatever policies they like as long as they don't unfairly discriminate according to law. Unfortunately "airsofters" are not really a legally defended minority! You also don't say what your job is which may well be relevant to why they feel you should be denied clearance.
  12. That. Airsoft - it's all about looking cool
  13. I used to run only mids but then I started running mids with normal ammo and a hicap with tracer (just because that's what I had spare) which led to me just using the high cap full of tracer. I now have Incentive Designs tracer mags for both M4 and AK so I may go back to mix and matching.
  14. Been there, done that, got the tinnitus to prove it. One of my first trips to the Mall I was coming up a set of stairs into the back of one of the shops. There was a small (6'x8') room at the top where there would have been a couple of doors originally. In the ensuing melee, three BFGs and two Mk5s came into the room and went off near simultaneously. That was fun.
  15. Not sure to be honest. I know the one for the Vector pushes over 340 from a gun firing around 280-290 as it makes my friends one go over the site limit at the Malls.
  16. Or you could just buy one... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HALF-COVER-AIRSOFT-BB-GUN-COSTUME-DEMON-SAMURAI-HANNYA-KABUKI-MASK-black-MA124-/281561944531
  17. Only if the barrel extends through the silencer. So no, probably not.

  19. Ah, gotcha see what you mean now. I must say I don't know why they haven't made a version of the short handguard Honey Badger (which I think looks better anyway).
  20. That's the thing with aesthetics though, isn't it. Very subjective. I quite like honey badgers but don't like the AW 338. Takes all sorts.
  21. It's not his gun, he just photoshops paint jobs onto pictures.
  22. They're not too bad but you are at the mercy of customs.
  23. Nothing wrong with the ics gear but spending a bit more and getting a g&g will get you a better gun. It's especially true in airsoft that you get what you pay for.
