  2. Marathon'd preppers with some mates not long ago, rather entertaining to watch especially for /k/ommandos like me When it comes to prepping for me? I've a 3L Jar of Salo, somewhere I think. Be graaand with that.
  3. Can;t exactly offer a personal view of the Partizan suit as I've only used the KLMK onesie which are made out of gourmet paper . I hear good things about them though. However,as a nice surplus retailer in Ukraine told me- Gorkas and Partizans are popular purely for their looks, because all of the special forces guys in movies and games wear them. Quality wise they're nothing special for the price and not as good as the DPM rip stop stuff,Bundeswehr surplus or even old austrian shit. The fabric is alright actually, but doesn't feel like something you'd pay 60 euro for. I can only say that the SS-leto pattern is ridiculously effective. Makes you damn near invisible in some areas and works fairly well all round. If you want to dedicate yourself for Russian kit and want something that will hide you exceptionally well,go for it.
  4. Zakza is probably a butchering of 'zakaz' (заказ) which means order. So basically, your order is being prepared and when it's ready you'll get full price including shipping.
  5. Change in plan for the boots. Fleabay seller contacted me in lovely Denglish,2000 model paras in my size out of stock. So,went for a refund, paypal should have all the stuff processed by now. Decided to blow the rest of this year's savings on some 2007 model kampfstiefels http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/290888621860?cmd=VIDESC&gxo=true
  6. KWA's RM4 Recoil rifle is quite good. I'd steer clear of their regular line though,Outdated, internals are not great for what you're paying IMO and they have dodgy hop up rubbers. Lonex have some of the best out of the box internals, and Aoe is 'corrected' slightly by means of jamming a spacer on the piston head to push it back a bit,it's not much but it's something and does extend life of the piston. Still, fantastic for both internal quality and externals, I'd rate up there with G&P with the one I've fondled. G&G Top tech- Mosfets dodgy on Gen 3,I'd stick with gen 2 since there's not that big of a difference and you save some money G&P have a nice balance of internals and externals- Internals are iffy on some guns, like spur gears loving to snap at the axle, however they are generally reliable. Hop up rubbers need a bit of bedding in too so fresh OOTB performance won;t be spectacular, but a couple hundred rounds down range will fix it

About a week or two estimated, though I'm not too fussed since I won;t be seeing any big games till January and can still wear what's left of my Pro boots on smaller scale skirmishes. Will probably send my Pro boots off to Ukraine to get them resoled and then continue using them,I need some decent stuff out there since I play mainly CQB in abandoned factories and shit, the crappy hiking boots I already have there do not help at preserving my ankle in those kinds of places

  9. Some quick question, since I'm boot shopping again: Are the MOD issue Haix boots any good? http://flecktarn.co.uk/spccb2ua.html Secondly,is British military surplus legit? They have the same boots in grade 1 for 25 quid cheaper http://www.britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk/shop/footwear/haix-brown-leather-boots-grade-1-1124181.html

No mate, very big and heavy. Feel like walking around in moon boots.

Alt bergs are the way forward.

Altbergs are awesome, just given my son my old pair for cadets and he loves them! If you can make the trip and can afford it Altberg do a great fitting service and even do made to measure! I wore Altbergs and Lowas for my last 10 years in the Army

  10. Completely wrecked the soles of my boots at the last game two days ago. Time to get some nice vibram ones glued onto them I guess.

The ones I have are actually grand aside from the sole. Excellent ankle support and I was wading ankle deep pushing a mock artillery piece and not a bit soaked through,Just the rubber on the soles was a bit soft and some of it got torn- To be honest they can still last a while but I want to get them repaired while I still have money

Ha! turns out the only shoe repair shop in town can;t actually resole combat boots. Time to go shopping then

  11. Yeah, meant follower, don't know why I wrote feed lip. Hopefully SRC take after KJW and offer a good source of parts
  12. Bit concerned by the Bolt stop being the bolt slamming into the mag follower. I guess we know where KWA got their idea.
  13. I think these have gas systems designed by that bloke Tanio Koba or something, same guy who designed the KJW M4 GBBR which is one of the more reliable designs. Please do report on it's quality. Lots of steel has me intrigued, and for all we know the gas system could be a hidden gem
  14. I can see why you painted it,you can always strip off the chrome stuff to revert to the original black. I would have gone the full mile to sand and polish the metal bits for proper chrome but that's a more permanent approach. I actually quite like how it came out, from far away it looks spot on for a pro hunter
  15. Hmm,sounds like a nice idea. I like the idea with thermobarics and smokes detonating on the vehicle. With a firework usage license at bellurgan I guess I could pitch a similar idea to the guys. Along with what we already have, the sensor triggering an alarm on the car, maybe rig up a lighter to get some smokes off and some thermobarics strapped to the sides of the vehicle. Main issues would of course,be money and sourcing the fireworks, and how the hell to light grenades via a lighter and electronic signal,I've yet to gut an electronic lighter so I'll still need to research on that. Overall, sounds like a cool concept you guys have. I'll need to get to some Okto Eight games when I'm old enough to drag my arse to Sasana, you guys seem to be on the ball with milsim stuff
  16. Does it fire actual projectiles? Or is it something more akin to what Bellurgan for example have,A sensor system which triggers an alarm on a vehicle when 'fired'? Still, looks damn neat,I really like the look of it
  17. Looks lovely- All mechanical,a wee bit of recoil, mechanism should be extremely reliable and their claim of 20RPS and 400FPS seems like a small hint to the potential performance of it,also it's apparently made in USA so that should be quite interesting(I do assume that some parts are OEM in Taiwan or China or whatever). I'll need to ask around retailers if they plan on stocking it in Ireland, but if they do,I'm dead set on one, looks like a good hassle free approach to HPA. I have a little bit of a fetish for front heavy M4s so I guess I could build something for that
  18. A daytona gun kit jammed into a Dboys or used VFC AK Body,a bit oddly specific I know, but Dboys steel bodies are fairly cheap and easy to get and the Daytona Gun AK kit is the most common one Anything other? Probably a TM recoil or something because they put a big childish grin on your face when shooting them. Next would probably be splurging out on some Retro Arms gearbox parts and whatever's popular for DSG shit with the yanks and building a Dual sector gear unnecessary ROF monster just to piss people off,I'd say if I skimped out on the external quality I'd say I'd be able to build a DSG for 550. Some lovely GHK GBBs will certainly be on the list, probably the G5 since M4s aren't my thing(Thought it is lovely) and I often adore the little super maneuverable plastic guns
  19. Yes,AK 7.62 mags and AK 5.45 mags in airsoft are all interchangeable, the lock system is pretty much universal,so for Gargamel to get it a legit AK74 all you need to do is buy some 5.45 mags and jam them in. I also love the LCT G-03,the heat shield on top looks lovely and I quite like the comfort of Galil stock. Good choice on gun and I'd say it will not disappoint you performance wise and certainly not disappoint you external quality wise
  20. If you have money-It's better to get the gun with better/prettier externals, internals can always be easily replaced. Externals are much harder to replace than internals
  21. Yep,only date has been revealed so far however. 30th of November, they usually reveal info 2-ish weeks before the game. About 50 tickets up for it so It's probably going to be a smaller scale game
  22. I'll get my Parents to pay for the Milsim at the end of this month and use the money saved to go towards my Driver theory test fee :~ TBH I don't really need anything other than a flashlight,so not much to ask for
  23. I had a CM031 project gun which was supposedly a newer model and it had the motor height grub screw,I'm pretty sure most newer ones do too,It would be extremely frustrating to use shims or somesuch to adjust height which is such a critical part of bevel-pinion shimming.
