  1. Definitely an RS SVD. Definitely. Add in the fixings for a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. style loadout and I'd be laughing
  2. CYMA MP5s are alright. My first AEG was one of their MP5Js (model CM.041J) and it was pretty decent out of the box. It regularly outshot other player's sometimes more expensive guns, although looking back, it was an incredibly loud gun with a very high pitched gear screech. With some TLC CYMA guns can be amazing; a deep gearbox clean to remove the dark green gunk they call grease, re-greasing with proper products and angle of engagement correction on the gears can improve the gearboxes' life drastically. A clean of the barrel and a soak of the hop rubber in warm water and soap can improve range and accuracy too. Be aware that CYMA guns tend to shoot at higher than site legal muzzle velocities out of the box, so replacing the spring may be a good idea.
  3. G&P make a nice red dot for £30. Some people don't think they're good, but I've used them for 2 or 3 years and haven't had a single issue with either of mine.
  4. Some bastards just broke into my ACF unit on Thursday night, wrecked the place and nicked a .22 rifle and some cash from us, as well as breaking into a gym, a scout hut and a St John's Ambulance building nearby. I understand the appeal of the firearm, but stealing from the scouts? That's too low. http://www.hampshire.police.uk/internet/news-and-appeals/2014/november/151114-firearm-theft-alton-44140409448

Gutted mate, total scumbags, hope the stuff can be replaced soon

  5. You could say it became..... (•_•) ( •_•)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■) An attack-tuk....
  6. Long time Keys fan, I wasn't completely sure about the new album having listened to Fever, but having properly gone through the album now it's grown on me. Especially the embedded track
  7. Enough with these specific threads, there's already the 'A loadout too far' thread and loadout & gun picture threads. This is getting silly.
  8. I'm still not 100% certain whether I like the tan look on the A2 or not.....
  9. Any room for a marksman with a stolen American weapon?
  10. Have a 22-14mm thread adaptor made up? Might cost around £30 for it to be made, maybe more, maybe less- depends on the company doing it and the finish they offer.
  11. There's the Crye Precision Multicam Airlite PC EKO1: At £175 each they're very dear though.
  12. Not proud as such, it's just fun doing some of the courses......plus it makes you look good when the next round of promotions is up. I put a buttload of effort in for my first stripe, I kept that up and I'm being considered for my second. Not bad considering how difficult it is to get a rank in my company The trick is not being complacent after getting the first tape. The second tape comes after you can show that you go above and beyond the expected effort you put in. Some can argue it's a 'pay to promote' system though- one fairly average inexperienced L/CPL in our Farnborough detachment paid £600 to do an exchange to Canada. Despite not shining much and being one of the newest L/CPLs in the Company, she got her 2nd stripe because of her (paid) trip to Canada.....it's a heavily recurring theme where you rarely see cadets in senior ranks who didn't pay their way.
  13. You need to get some more badges on there, JAA This is about 3 years worth of stuff, and I've still got badges owed to me by the company training staff: Got an RBL Affiliated Unit badge as well for attaching, unfortunately we're limited to no more than 5 badges per blanking plate....my GP badge is deffo taking priority over the RBL badge
  14. I use mesh a lot. A friend of mine was borrowing my mesh eye pro for a back garden plink and a bit of messing around- I shot at him with my DMR, the shot went wide and hit him directly on the mesh eyepiece. These were £12 goggles, and the DMR fires at about 425FPS. There was only a minor dent on the eyepiece of the goggles where the BB had hit. Nothing else.
  15. The Bren and Sten look horrible because they were produced so cheaply......the No4 Enfield is the nicest looking out of the 3 although the L42 sniper's variant looks very nice IMO.

Finally managed to grind enough free XP for the 77mm gun on the AT8- it's much better than the initial 2 guns, however my M36 Jackson is still a favourite. Love that TD with it's glorious 90mm gun. It's the KV killer, I've taken so many of those Russian heavies out with it

    Black Ops

BLops was the turning point for the CoD series from alright to shite......MW2 was my first FPS and will always be a favourite. CoD4 was also great especially on PC.
  18. Not really. The L85's nothing fancy, it's like the AK of the Western world.....I'd like to handle AUGs or G36s, the G36 is a lot better quality.

I was very tempted with the E25- they're evil little buggers but I don't particularly like German tanks- the way they handle bugs me

    World of Tanks

Recently been getting back into WoT. Bought myself an SU100Y after seeing a Jingles video featuring one where he hinted they may be removed from the store in the near future, so I decided to get one quickly. Had a monster first game in it (ammo racking a VK 30.01 and M6 and derping a Stug right in the side) however I don't have a screenshot of the results or a replay :/ Some results from a game yesterday: End result was about 1.2K XP. I end up spending a LOT on ammunition though. Also been grinding up the British AT line- managed to reach tier 6, only to be massively disappointed by the AT8- it's a pile of shite compared to the AT2. I don't mind the speed, the armour's still good despite the massive weak commander's hatch- but the first 2 guns are shockingly bad. I can't hope to damage half the tanks above tier 6 that I get mixed with in games. I'm having to free XP myself to the first decent gun. I've also resumed my grind up the British light/medium line. I'm almost at tier 5, and I'll be attempting to get further as a clan I've recently joined prefers it's members to use British vehicles. I may also take the Brit SPG line up again, but then I might start neglecting my favourite tanks.....choices, choices.
  22. On the real L85 the trigger is 2-stage. It requires a fair amount of pressure to fire a round. As for the airsoft version- what do you expect? All airsoft guns have weak trigger pulls offering no resistance, as they are basically a switch lever. The safety catch is more secure than the swivelling type as long as you remember not to fiddle with it. As for that, as you train with one and get used to mag changes it gets easier. It's easier to take the bolt carrier out of the M4 as the rifle 'breaks open' like a double barrel shotgun when you remove the rear body pin, enabling you to pull the bolt carrier out with the cocking handle. The gas parts are a different matter entirely. It's much easier to take them out on an L85; you just pop the top cover open on the handguard, pull the gas piston to the back of the weapon and pull it out of the weapon on an angle away from the gas collar- the gas collar just slides off and the gas plug can be taken out by depressing a locking stud and pulling it backwards. Much simpler for what it is. (Plus I'd rather not have to pull through the M4's gas tube to clean it)
  23. They're nice to move about with, just the pistol grip on the L85 isn't great- if it was more ergonomic it'd be fine. The only parts of a rifle which the term 'ergonomic' apply to are the user interface i.e. furniture such as the pistol gip and handguard. Weight and such are a different matter.
  24. Once you've handled one in reality you'll realise it's not great.... I once got a blister from the pistol grip rubbing on my right hand, on the webbing between my thumb and first finger. It is NOT ergonomic at all, M4 pistol grips are lovely compared to them.
