  1. So what you're saying......is you want a gun which shoots well and isn't an ASG Scorpion? Saying you want something like it in the thread title is kind of confusing
  2. I've handled one- it's not suitable for individuals with long arms, it's waaay to short for those of us blessed with lengthy appendages unless you put some sort of custom buttpad on to lengthen it.
  3. Position, hold and trigger pull are very important in shooting, it isn't 'just pointing the sights at the target'. If it worked like that everyone would be a crack shot providing they weren't blind!
  4. I can only get on with a 2 or 3 point sling. The NCS VISM 2 point sling is great, you can convert them to a 1 point as well
  5. British Assault boots are the standard footwear you should be looking at for cadets. If you're in the ACF then brown boots are a viable option, I'm not sure if the RAF are issued with browns so the ATC might not be. I've used BA Boots for years on parades, exercises, range days, expeditions etc- and they're fine if you look after them
  6. If you did that with a real rifle...........just don't pick it up again.......
  7. Sniper tape would have a much more stalker-ish effect, cable ties would be rare in the Zone and kept a hold of to use as DIY handcuffs
  8. If you can't get hold of the BTC Spectre, the Gate Nano AB is an excellent substitute. They also make a Pico model: While tiny and much more space efficient, my only worry with it would be accidentally crushing it while fiddling with battery connectors or losing it on a messy floor. That being said, this little thing is waterproof and gives good results, like the nano. The nano is much easier to install though- it's literally got a male and female Deans connector on it (1 on each side) so you can just plug it in between your battery and trigger. (The black connector port is for a signal wire)
  9. What, on a real rifle? If it's with an airsoft gun it's redundant, they're nowhere near accurate enough as a platform without a lot of mods and upgrades. On a real rifle the only real factors are the firer's position, breath control, trigger pull and the weapon's type. It's easier to get a good grouping with a semi automatic over a bolt action, as with a bolt action the firer will disrupt their position each time they operate the bolt.
  10. Mostly the same for me. I get extremely bored at work, on public transport etc so I end up thinking about what I would do. I don't have anything major like some of the American preppers do- there used to be a TV show with lots of them on it, including hippies who lived in a converted nuclear missile bunker and a man in California who had dug 40 or 50 foxholes around his property. All I keep is some boil in the bag meals left over from ration packs (also got various bits and pieces left over, including just-add-water heating packs) and my multicam rig. In an event which results in a breakdown of society, I'd fill my rig with: Hydration pouch Mess tins Gas cooker Camping lighter Tea towel for silencing (and cleaning the tins) Red and white light torches Leatherman Pocket Survival Tool Mora combat/hunting knife Gerber STL 2.5 pocket knife Boil in the bag meals and various snacks I'd also grab my day sack and fill it with: Multicam poncho- can be used as a waterproof coverall as well as a shelter Bungees and tent pegs to secure the poncho and use it as a basha Warm kit in the form of a fleece, spare socks, spare trousers, spare undies Sleeping bag Roll mat secured on the outside Extra water bottle in an external pouch Boil-in-bag meals I can't fit in my webbing Spare cooking gas Spare batteries Ceramic knife sharpener Any food I can grab from the shop across the road/loot from houses. Screw TVs, I want your beans!
  11. You could form a team and call yourselves,"The 3rd Light Barbecue Division"
  12. Weight of slide impacts the gun efficiency, which is the TM M1911's main selling point.....if an M1911 with a completely metal construction was released with a high efficiency then there would be no point in the TM existing. I wouldn't really call a metal slide an upgrade if it negatively impacts gas efficiency
  13. Waste of time and resources to get a toy gun working, which won't fire BBs full stop..... I think you're trying to do too many projects at once, I'd just work on your diorama, finish that and then buy an AEG if you can?
  14. Double Decker/Starbar and a Vimto Strawberry Still. Keeps me going until the lunch is given out
  15. I don't see the point...if you want to take stuff apart and put it back together why not just buy some LEGO 3-in-1 model kits?
  16. Yeah, JCheese was photoshopped into various grim photographs from history with that smile and thumbs up. Was a pretty funny saga of posts
  17. They are, just the smallest size you can get the chest rig to might be a bit big for a slim teenager/adult
  18. Would be nicer with a tan MOE pistol grip and the 552 sprayed Krylon Tan. At the moment it has a cobbled together look, while nice with AKs and Soviet/Eastern European military loadouts, it doesn't work on Western weapons too well unless you stick to a specific house style with the rifle. For example, I kept my M27's furniture completely standard black- for it to work with a tan/MTP/Multicam loadout I added a tan sling, dark earth rail covers and a tan foregrip. That gives me a rifle which has it's colours broken up by a minimal amount of tan parts. Now as you've gone for solid tan furniture while keeping the barrel set and receiver black, if it was my rifle I'd buy some tan magazines and spray the 552 to match the furniture, as well as installing an MOE pistol grip in tan.
  19. You can always go UKSF and run an HK416, it's pretty much an M27
  20. A fancy grip-pod and a Cold Steel Peace Keeper (1) knife. The grippy isn't your standard one though.....
  21. Got my first knife kill today through the floorboards of a watchtower :D

    1. DX115FALCON

      DX115FALCON

nice! I got my first axe kill the first game that I used it I was running fast as f*ck into a small room where I knew there was only one guy. Only had axe, hit him out. find objective. Get out. Game Over. Lasted less than 1 minute.

  22. Is that some American phrase? Never heard the term 'pick up game' before...
  23. Literally the first google result when you search 'vfc m27 takedown' edit: my bad, only skimmed the results
