  1. as a consequence of your mods bringing this to my attention: Number of ads per week reduced to 10 from 14. Believe me, getting free money for hosting is always a plus but one has to consider that the Classifieds are a way of on-boarding new members who head over to the forums and have a discussion, not as a way to make money. We've spent all this time discussing people spamming the Classifieds only to let retailers pay their way in? Seems a little silly, but I understand your point. The return to the forum is - as mentioned - the fact that we are one of the premier places to list airsoft goods (and buy them). This attracts new traffic to the site (a fraction of which might stick around). In terms of making this a paid service and the logistics of that, it's actually not too difficult. IPB already has ways of letting you pay your way into a group and from there it's just a case of restricting posts per group (something we already do, because Supporters can list an unlimited number of ads per week). If you're a supporter, please go here to discuss further. The only way to 'bump' is to relist your ad after it expires.
  2. Use https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/ Would recommend a far cheaper setup than that which Jedi has posted. You will never use most of the features of a board that costs more than 150 quid. Spending a lot of money on a good motherboard isn't really worth it unless you have some specific additional needs in mind for connectivity or running many expansion cards etc. If you're using a single graphics card (which you really should be if you don't have more than a single 4K monitor) then almost any Z490 type motherboard is fine. MSI are my go-to pick but it won't really matter which you buy. Don't get a MicroATX as you will pay a slight premium for it being smaller and probably loose some connectivity too. Plain old ATX is the best value. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/products/motherboard/#c=143 My recommendation would be the MSI MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS because it's from a reputable brand and is the cheapest. I am assuming that you don't need WiFi built in. For RAM: All of these boards will support ridiculous RAM clock speeds. I'm just going to pick you something with a decent response time and from a good brand. Anything over 3000mHz is fine. Realistically you will never notice the latency or clock speed on RAM for general/gaming applications anyway. My recommendation would be two of these sticks: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/QBrYcf/kingston-hyperx-fury-16-gb-2-x-8-gb-ddr4-3200-memory-hx432c16fb3k216 You don't need more than 32gb for general or gaming purposes. If you do a lot of design work maybe consider 64gb. On the note of LEDs: Just completely ignore LEDs and order what has the best specs. LEDs or not. Better value usually means not having to deal with needless lights though, even from brands like MSI, Gigabyte, Asus etc. who will certainly offer RGB on their worse value boards and RAM. Also you can now buy a properly soundproofed case
  3. I'll continue to reduce it on the advice of the moderation team. This was actually proposed by them a little while ago so you have them to thank and me to scorn for being too busy to action it properly.
  4. I actually don't know how that works, so the proof will have to be in the tasting.
  5. Max adverts now at 14 per week down from 10 per day.
  6. Because of the way IPB works a price slider is difficult, however we are now able to do price range filters. I've added a couple to get started but will ask around as to what the best price bands are.
  7. Working on this. Won't be too long actually for at least a price range slider. Removing from searches may be possible post-sale, but I'll have to get back to you on this one.
  8. Though most from the end of last year were sent I noted a few stragglers in the list that were for some reason missed. Simple neglect on my part I'm afraid. Those of you who were waiting over a month should have received something a little extra for the wait. Sorry about that. To anyone still missing a patch: please PM or contact me via the admin form at the bottom of the page.
  9. I'm back towards the end of this week so will be able to send out any that are pending. Sorry for the wait over christmas but I've been mostly out of the country
  10. To the guy who emailed me about changing your username: Please PM me here directly as I believe the email you gave me to respond to is incorrect. Cheers.

  11. Don't worry, you can still obtain a verified AF-UK™ Patch Owner® icon by purchasing one or more Official AF-UK Patch™ for the low price of £6.00!
  12. They mean close to absolutely nothing and they are simply a reflection of your post count. Except staff, who get a title so you know they are staff.
  13. Send me a PM and I'll sort it
  14. Finally all packed and in the post box as of tonight. Should have them by Saturday.
  15. Hide it and never tell a soul just like me.
  16. Only for the ones that have been delayed I'm afraid.
  17. Sorry, will do this week. The process of me sending these out is pretty horribly informal right now. I'll make sure all the delays get an extra patch or two to make up for the delay. If you'd prefer a refund please don't hesitate to contact me immediately.
  18. I don't like that you're complaining about our right to complain about the people who're complaining, Rogerborg. Added a note to the top of the thread, @Jedi_Master
  19. Brace for spam, I just approved 3 pages of members who've been waiting since last year and were in the spam filter. Some look legitimate but many might not be.

Usually they're just sat to fester for a bit but it's getting a bit silly. Let's see if those Swiss or Philippine accounts are spammers or not :)

  20. 500/502 errors in profiles, the classifieds, status updates etc. are fixed. Appreciate the patience from you all. Just have a couple of edits to make to the classifieds to make and we're back to normal business.

  21. Longer barrel doesn't do much for accuracy in airsoft, but a nicer finish on that barrel does A well fitter R-hop will help with consistent shooting too.
  22. That's a retailer. Probably some joke they have going on their FB page or something.
  23. Parts of that WOC are reasonably rare though. I don't think you'd ever find a buyer willing to pay that much (or even 20-30% off that asking), but it could be argued that it's worth that much on paper. The mags especially are impossible to find. The problem is that the WOC/WA just doesn't perform like a gun that costs that much. It's a very old design and they look great, but the bolt is very heavy, which is a problem in UK weather for 6 months of the year.
  24. Please report these as well as posting them here if possible
  25. Like Samurai says - yes. Though I've owned a couple of those cheap cantilever mounts and even the cheapest ones are sturdy. Wouldn't bother flipping it around.
