Mack reacted to Baz JJ in Time limit
Look at the Q&A page on the UKARA website
Q. Due to service commitments I cannot play enough times when at home on leave to qualify.
A. The time period over which you have to play your 3 games is at the discretion of the participating game site providing the 3 games are not played in a time that is less than 2 months, the maximum time period is 12 months.

Mack reacted to jcheeseright in Advice for spray painting?
When painting guns I just put screwed up newspaper in the magwell and the end of the barrel and crack on. The gearbox is pretty well sealed up and the hop unit can't get paint inside it if you seal the magwell and barrel.
Complete disassembly and taking gearboxes out etc is massive overkill.

Mack reacted to Lozart in Came from sup air and have no idea help lol
Not strictly true. In real guns, yes but not in airsoft. Potentially better accuracy but range is more a function of the hop up than the length of the barrel.

Pay no attention to FPS stats on websites, They vary from gun to gun and country of sale.

Mack reacted to Baz JJ in Plate Carriers and stuff
When I first started airsoft, I bought myself an assault vest.
My logic was that I didnt fully understand these new fangled plate carriers and I was dazzled by the prices and array of the ones on the market.
The assault vest was fine. It was something familiar and I had more load carrying kit that I could use in skirmishes including an integral hydration pack. I loved the full length zip which enabled me to get it on and off easily.
However, I eventually dipped my toe in the water with this invention of satan - the plate carrier.
I made the mistake of buying a cheap one to try it out.
It was a pain - uncomfortable wires sticking out, difficult to get in and out of unaided, etc.
With my involvement with milsims, I have treated myself to a better one and its night and day compared to the other one I had. Little things like having an integral radio pouch, velcro loops for radio cables, hydration tubes etc make all the difference. I also never fully appreciated what difference dummy SAPI plates make to the fit. I can also close the side panels myself once its on, without the use of mirrors or team mates.
My point ?
I guess Im musing on how, its all a bit of a learning curve. You dont want to lash out on the expensive wrong kit, but sometimes buying cheap in ignorance also means you end up buying twice !

I see you have listed it for £180 even though you paid £165 or less for it didnt realise being third hand increased the value

It seems your doing a good job of that yourself. The original listing where you bought it says £165 ALL IN, all in includes the shipping price

No problem with you, I just hate bullshitters and people who overcharge for second/third hand goods

Mack reacted to ImTriggerHappy in Quick appraisal please? (pic heavy)
He actually said he paid £150 for it in an earlier post so its even worse. At the end of the day its an entry level gun with a couple of bolt on accessories, nothing special about it at all worth a about £100.What was the point in OP asking for an appraisal if he was going to ignore whats said?

Not 100% sure if sites definitly need insurance but without Insurance there is no defence against VCRA.
Defences to an offence under section 36 of the 2006 Act or under paragraph 4 of Schedule 2 to that Act
3.—(1) It shall be a defence in proceedings for an offence under section 36 of the 2006 Act or under paragraph 4 of Schedule 2 to that Act for the person charged with the offence to show that his conduct was for the purpose only of making the imitation firearm in question available for one or more of the purposes specified in paragraph (2).
(2) Those purposes are—
(a)the organisation and holding of permitted activities for which public liability insurance is held in relation to liabilities to third parties arising from or in connection with the organisation and holding of those activities;
(b)the purposes of display at a permitted event.
