  1. Stark arms, WE and TM glock mags are the same right?

They're roughly similar, but with slightly different tolerances & performance.

(WE and TM at least, can't speak for Stark)

WE fit & work in a TM, and give it a lot harder kick. CO2; I'd be worried about damaging the pistol.

TM mags fit in a WE, but don't seem to have the 'oomph' to cycle the slide reliably.

This is going off my pair, one TM one WE with two of each brand of mags; bought second hand & TM mags 'upgraded' with Nineball routers (Possibly worse than stock tbh, but don't have originals to compare).

  2. I mainly play at Rifleworks near Consett and Khe Sahn near Otley.

    The local sites are:

    No Limits: Gateshead
    NTAC: Shildon
NSC: Houghton-le-Spring(Ish...I think. Don't know as I've not played there in years & they moved site)
    Rifleworks: Consett
    Northern Alliance: Dishforth
    F&O Khe Sahn: Otley

There's Also Stirling Airsoft at Catterick; though these are generally weekend Mil-Sim style games as opposed to normal open days.

    Check the Map:

  3. Ah, neat. You'll have to join me for a skirmish sometime!

Best bet is just to rent to start with; give you an idea without spending money on something that may not suit you.
But some good retailers include; Land Warrior Airsoft, Patrol base, First & Only Retail for the airsoft side and Military 1st, Flecktarn and UK Tactical for the gear for starters.

Some army army surplus is probably your best bet to start with though; a good pair of boots is essential!

  4. Are both mags the same make?

Does it lock back if you hold the mag into the pistol whilst firing?

I have the same problem with my TM G17, but one mag is a different brand & doesn't seat exactly the same as the TM mag.

  5. It'll be fine. The vast majority of AEGs use the same type of springs. It's only a special few that require a different style.

I'd look at using an M90 though, if you're buying ASG springs; I use them and they tend to come out at 340ish, unless you have a poor air seal.

An M100 could very well put you around 360, so best playing it safe and aim to be under!

  6. looks like firstandonlyevents runs an airsoft game in otley and cerberus has one in leeds and one in harrogate. those are about only ones close to me. how would i become a member of one of those clubs? that way i wouldn't have to hire on the day as they dont seem to have many places available to hire for each game day.

You would have to hire initially anyway, regardless of whether you're a member or not; unless you can borrow a RIF from someone.

*edit: With F&O you can pre-book a hire gun through the website.

  7. I play at Rifleworks, out near Consett as it's a reasonable sized woodland that tends to play longer, involved games which suits my preferences.

Ntac is a mix between Cqb and a little bit of woodland playing short, faster paces games with a large number of players.

Ntac I can't comment on, as I've not been in a couple years & they've changed sites since then.

There's also no limits in Gateshead which is an indoor Cqb/kill house affair.

    Haven't been so can't comment.

And lastly, Northern Alliance at Dishforth.

A small collection of bunkers and paintball-like fields.

Best is to get out to all of them & see which you like best. :)
