I can see where you are coming from, but that’s a lot of fire to chill down that much. Playing at this time of year you also wouldn’t want a hard bucking as the ambient temp alone will make it so hard it will reduce friction/backspin. Also factor in the bucking has to take the nozzle fairly deeply and aggressively. 50-60D is fine for most sub DMR FPS. Silicone is more temperature stable but they can be mechanically weaker than rubber.

@Lozart I’ve only done it to precision bushings, most the stock ones are fairly sloppy and/or plastic. By bonding them in perfectly square I can then hone the bushing ID so the axle fit is perfect. Its also amazing how many gear sets axles are not actually round.

Bearings offer less rotating resistance, but ideally need the gear axles to be a tight fit into the inner race. Ideally suited to low load / high RPM. - Spastic ROF builds Bushings are a static item, the gear axle rotates in the bushing with a clearance for lubrication. A Moly type grease is best for this application. Ideally suited to higher loadings. It is for this reason that bushings should be bonded into place, so they do not in turn rotate in the gearbox shell. I use Loctite 270 for this purpose, if you need to remove them for whatever reason this easily done with the aid of a heatgun.

Increased battery depletion; Higher spring rating. Excessive active braking. Gearbox drag (shimming/piston rails & fouling/motor height/dying motor). Low torque or poor quality motor. Under rated wiring capacity. Battery / electrical connections. Dying / near end of life battery.

TBH you are adding a potential risk by running them. You are also adding to resistance by creating more connections, and again as such more points of failure. I mean look at the cross sectional area of your 16g cable VS the fuse legs! You have a lot of room with a full stock, a fuse is a SHTF failsafe, which should not need to be replaced regularly. Safeguarding against shorts or overloading. Semi auto can pull upto or over 30A, but not for long enough to bother a normal fuse. Full auto anywhere between 12-20A All based on a healthy setup. The best setup without nuisance tripping or induced heat or other factors is a conventional automotive or glass fuse. Just run a regular fuse holder, with whichever fuse rating that is stable on Semi spamming. Normally 30A. Simplicity always wins!

@Wild Weasel nice setup! Can you range out somewhere else at 40 & 60M. Interesting because I’ve found some buckings give strange “effects” as range increases. PS good ol’ fashioned Parker Hale gun oil is great for the trigger set, bolt lock mech etc.

I would guess that your bolt is travelling to fast rearwards potentially. A HSB will slow this down (in a good way) whilst still providing full travel and faster return to battery. Have you tried it with the stock bolt? I would run the standard TM buffer unit. The difference between the Modify and TM is marginal, i prefer the TM for longevity. Autobot 60 has not been tested, you need a bucking with conventional mound to work with the Super Nub.

All the colours never match, even in real steel, look at the HK series, uppers/lowers/rails all come out different shades due to different manufacturers, same applies in airsoft.

Nice work RDB I think airsoft hourly rate is £0.50 according to most people, for some reason people want work done - albeit for their “toy” - because they clearly can’t do it themselves, but it’s still skilled time to do just like any trade. Not tarring all but that’s the general consensus - fix my toy for peanuts please 😂
