Snipers appreciate the minimum engagement rule especially as it's based on safety reasons. If they shoot too close that's cause for getting kicked off site! It's just plain dangerous especially when you consider the vast majority (almost all) standard eye pro isn't rated to 500fps at close range!
Bearing that in mind, if he shot me with a pistol which malfunctioned I'd politely ask him to show me the mag. If it has BBs and gas if put the lack of shot down to malfunction outside his control and assume he wouldn't miss a target my size from 5m. I've done this before as i feel it's in the spirit of the game. but not carrying a knife or pistol as a sniper is your choice. Your fair game
 
As for bang rule it's so so sooooooo weak! It's actually counterproductive to the sport. It's anti-combat! I can understand it for under 18s games but for the rest of us it's like 'touch rugby' which makes my blood boil.
The way I see it is that if a guy is smart enough and stealthy enough to get behind me then he has every right to shoot me cold in the back assassination style. As long as he's not too spiteful and shoots me in the back of the head/neck it's all good. Between the shoulder blades is polite or the bum cheeks are good for extra humiliation lol.
I deliberately keep my knife on my left leg because of the bang rule! Why I hear you ask? Well if you shout bang at my back my right hand raises my rifle as if in a passive fashion. Now at this point I don't shout hit but because I appear slumped and my gun raises you assume I'm pussying out! As your eyes fixate in the rifle my left hand stabs behind me and you are now in fact DEAD! Sneaky yes but deffo a lesson learned! If you get a chance to kill me... Please do!

I met one on Saturday, he was about 14 and he showed two really bad traits. Initially he was fine but as the games went on you could see how frustrated he was getting after failing to hit people.Its bad enough a guy on his first outing is screaming "call your hits" when he likely isn't very good at aiming, its worse as you watch him blind fire with BB's pinging off his shoulder and still he keeps on fighting. I can see why some sites ban young players, some of them lack the mental maturity to be humbled by their fellow players and they end up cheating and ultimately getting banned pretty quickly. Thankfully a vigilant marshal team dealt with him and he was my first know it all/hit nothing/cheating codsofter. His belief in his personal skills was so vast he couldn't see that he was a complete beginner with no skills at all.

Some suppressors (mainly the ones filled with foam) actually make your aeg sound much softer not a whole lot but they can have a cool effect on the sound if you get the right one, i used to have one on my g36 sounded really cool almost like the sound design your hear in films when a sd weapon is fired.

Long barrel does not equal more range. It's the quality of the Hop-up unit, rubber or nub. All CM guns will clock in at 320-335 FPS from what I've heard.
 
It's down to your preference whether you want a shorter or longer gun. A longer gun with a longer RIS system will allow you to put more attachments on it if you wish, however shorter guns can be more pointable and easier to go around corners and operate in confined spaces with.
Longer guns can also be easily rested on barricades, cover etc if you want to maintain potential operational effectiveness while fiddling around with a water bottle/hydration unit or your pouches/mags.

Agreed, there's a definite undercurrent of elitism on here and on every airsoft forum really about so called CoD softers. They're just kids who get a bit excited about getting to hold guns and shoot at people. Only time it should ever be a problem is when they cheat, e.g. "I'm on last stand" etc.

On a sidenote, MY MP5K LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THAT FOOPING GUN!

In September, I was paired with a young lad, maybe as young as ten (parents were on site and in the game) and he was brilliant! He listened to me when I was communicating to him, he made a few good suggestions....he even took down a guy with an m60e with a Cyma mp5 hire gun! He lay down cover fire and didn't rush in like an idiot....wasn't even my son and I was still proud haha!!!
 
Only had one bad experience with a Codsofter. He had a bright green m4a1 (SRC I beleive) and he wouldn't take his hits....even if it was painfully obvious that he had been hit from only a few feet away. Needless to say, most of the hires were lads on a stag do....the Codsofter suffered afterwards! He became the objective for every mission.
