  1. We just need to see one example post to know what they're up to these days. It's all the same shite. I'm banning several a week too. I'm generally reviewing the latest posts from whatever time I wake up to around 8am (I'd be doing that even without the spammers, as I'm the lab rat that keeps pushing the button in the hope of a reward)
  2. There's an article in the news from a day or two ago that claims 'converted' guns are now more likely to be involved in firearms incidents than real ones. At the moment they're just talking about blank-firers. According to an ex-con they can be made to fire a real cartridge in 20-30 minutes of work. I felt a tiny pang of fear about GBBs considering how so many parts are real-steel compatible. I have no experience of blanks so don't know how differently they're constructed. Here's one article, it was picked up by a number of media sites... BBC News - Converted handguns fired more than 'real' weapons in UK crimes https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-67895627
  3. Yes he did. In an interview he said he was pissed as a twat when he recorded it. Plus he was of course in The Damned, it wouldn't be very punk of him not to. The 'official' lyrics have him singing 'cuss' but you can hear a drawn out 'n' and 't' quite clearly. Not bad for a #1 song that got masses of plays is it 🤣
  4. Yes I read an article about that, someone realised the maths didn't stack up with his age, so asked him about it, and so he told 'em about his Happy Time 😋 But if you want a really good "got away with it" pop song story, try listening to Captain Sensible's version of "Happy Talk" again... Considering he did this on TOTP, and I noticed the first time I heard it, I'm amazed he got away with this! ... 2:30 is where the magic happens 😂
  5. I've got most of my collection stored in the loft, but I'm not super-happy about it. The temperature is pretty damned cold up there now (guess that means the the insulation is doing it's job!) and during the summer it's stiflingly hot. I doubt the big temp swings are the best thing for our plastic and alloy toys, so I keep them boxed or bagged to try to protect them from the extremes of the temperature changes.
  6. Silly me, I thought those little primers would be relatively quiet 😔. Oh well, I'm sure my grenade will still see some use in the woodland, for clearing out tents, the kill houses and the church area. Even though it's rather arse-about-face to me... Sure there's less echo in the outdoors, but people will be much less likely to wear ear-pro in the woods, so a grenade or flash bang going off nearby is surely as likely to be too loud? Anyway, I'll be sticking to the rules whatever Carlos decides they are, of course.
  7. Awww shizzle, does that mean I probably I won't be able to use my new Oshi grenade in CQB? It takes the .209 primers.
  8. I saw this and thought of you 🥴 (that's my pic of the actual typewriter from the Kubrick exhibition in 2019)
  9. You see now I'm none the wiser. Or is it none the stupider. I'm definitely none something 🥸
  10. Not really listening to music as such, but as I'm trying to learn how to play my guitars (all 4 of 'em) I have a long list of Top Choons that I try to play along to. Everything and anything, quite lidddderally from ABBA to ZZ Top as long as I can use Chordu to get the simple chords so I can try to wrangle some rhythm guitarishness out of 'em. God bless him and his Canadian cotton socks, but Mr Bryan Adams has written some hits aren't really 'my taste' but that are damned fun to play along to, and not too tricky. Same for a bunch of other popsters. I'll give anything a go. Luckily though, I'm finally getting to the point where I can hit on the beloved Cardiacs, for some of the simpler (slower, less stoppy-starty) numbers... and this epic is the current fave for strumming along to https://chordu.com/chords-tabs-cardiacs-dirty-boy-id_d-dd4fMUhAY
  11. Oh dear, guilty m'lud. Can I choose who fucks me? Always a been a tad partial to Scarlett Johansson, tbqh
  12. Cyma are a solid choice for anything these days. Krytac and G&G are both worth a look too, though they're a bit pricey for what they offer.
  13. You need to buy a gas blow-back rifle then. Lots of parts that are real-steel interchangeable, beautiful clacky bolt mechanism, decent trigger response. RECOIL All oily bits, no electrical bits. Realism with every 30 round mag change!
  14. This only reminds me how much I want an SLR
  15. There have been a few threads on the same subject recently, so a search will give you more detail, but the recommendations will be around Cyma (lots of choice) Specna Arms (lots of choice) Double Eagle (yes, really!) m904/m906/m908 With your budget you could also go with Novritsch SSR4, or be a guinea pig and try one of the Rossi's which look interesting, or the new Delta Armoury guns currently touted at Patrol Base - which seem reasonably priced but no idea how good they are! Don't forget some good eye pro, decent boots, extra mags (I love my Lonex flash mags), and a bit of webbing to carry your kit on...
  16. It's easier if the delivery man turns up when she's out, is my take on the matter 😋
  17. What really grinds my gears is... People writing "hone in on" when it's "home in on" The bastards.
  18. When I played in the bad weather I've just gone "sod it" and taken the optics off - both LPVO and red dots. In fact on one occasion I was playing GBBR with LPVO and ended up ditching both because single-shot with magnification didn't make much sense to me, and single-shot when I wasn't able to pick my shots so well - and I'm up against full-auto spam - didn't seem like it'd be fun. Sometimes you can't fight nature / weather / the odds
  19. So the takeaway message is that Ares is as bad as Luke et al have lead us to believe? An Ares was nearly the first gat I bought when I came back to airsoft, glad I dodged that particular bullet / pellet / plastic ball
  20. If you don't want to take the gun apart then at least make sure the hop off is dialled off completely, that's the easiest but to damage. To be honest I've often used bits of kitchen roll, it didn't occur to me that it could any harm!
  21. Having won a rather nice OhShiBoom OMFG multi-shot grenade, I need to get some primers for it.... I can see commonly it's Fiocchi 615 or 616 primers available, and I can see 615's are more sensitive. I was probably going to buy a 3-pack to save a bit on the p&p, but I don't want to end up with loads of primers that are either too sensitive (just how sensitive can they be???) or so insensitive they won't always pop! Is there much difference? Am I worrying about nothing?
