Sounds like an evening in with the ex
Have you tried the mid week games? Numbers are generally lower so you're not crammed in like sardines and unable to move without immediately getting shot at

Being good mates with the guys who basically set up the school for the owner of Red1 and were subsequently screwed over by him, I'm not surprised that they don't have a clue about running a bath let alone a decent airsoft site. There's reasons why I don't shop at his store despite it being the closest to me

My point is that they've being doing this long enough to have figured out that it's buyers who have the problem with reality, not them.
This. To quote Obi-Wan, "who's the the biggest fool, the fool or the fool who follows him?"
Pretty sure you'd need to be dreaming or high to think £25 less than retail for a broken gun is a good price

I think the produced under licence which has now expired is the most likely explanation. This wouldn't be the first time WE have parted ways with another company before slinging mud and creating silly drama on social media. Anyone else remember the WETTI/WE Europe spat?

I guess a gbb one doesn't work in the cold and will only hold 2 pairs of socks and a t shirt

@Cannonfodder Nope, 🤣 🤣 just taking the piss on that whole youtube genre.
I actually hate how they represent the hobby, and i was looking for some youtube tutorials and as soon as you type airsoft in the search bar, here they come !!
No worries, my reply wasn't serious either.
I know what you mean about the goontoobers and their bullshit clickbait videos, if I ran a site I'd seriously consider banning anyone who puts up those cheater exposed videos

That's the one good thing Absolute Airsoft insisted on having
We all know why that is
Sunday's trip down to Ambush started off badly as the gods of public transport were clearly in a bad mood that morning. One bus that was replacing a train was a no show and another train being 25 minutes late meant that I missed the first couple of games.
Fortunately things did start to pick up and the rest of the day went well with some well fought games and no obvious cheating or people playing silly buggers. To top it off I also managed to get caught on film by the site photographer so that's always a bonus

But Maybe they are right and you might find yourself in a youtube video titled “AIRSOFT CHEATER WONT TAKE THEIR HITS until i go close to them and revenge killed by headshot with my HPA shooting 13 000 bbs per second” And then you’d have to move to a different county and change you name and loadout to escape the burning enduring shame
That sounds oddly specific. Are those words of experience?

Don't bother, I have one & they're shite.
Beat me to it. I could yeet mine further than it fires

I was thinking leave the mats hanging loose at the bottom to allow some movement, but the car mats sounds like a better idea. They'll take far more abuse before failing

There was a guy who used to make 'magflash' 12G blanks which give off a shower of sparks with a flash but he stopped a while ago as far as i'm aware.
I'm guessing site owners and insurers wouldn't allow it due to the increased fire risk. Yes disposable pyro and BFGs can and have started small fires on sites, but when something sends sparks out over a bigger area that risk increases

I'll probably cut much wider strips (3-4" ?) to make sure they stay in place better
I would think you'd want the strips as wide as possible to absorb the impact with them moving as little as possible, especially if you're firing bursts

Very nice, I've been looking at doing something similar, even down to using yoga mats for the backstop

This is a common rule with halls of residence and as frustrating as it is, I can understand why it's done

whilst i don't disagree with the notion that many cases of cheat calling may well be the result of misinformation, it's worth noting that this doesn't mean there aren't people wearing copious amounts of plot armour in this hobby.
I find that often the ones who cheat call the most are the ones who need a few extra shots to encourage them to call the hit.

Claims only the Laylax shop have it in stock but 10 seconds on google shows patrol base also have it in stock for half what he wants

It doesnt creak a lot but the boy managed to lose the hand grip cover pins
I had the same problem my ICS MP5SD5. They never seemed to be held in place very tightly so I went through a couple of replacement sets in the 6 months or so I owned it. Mind you this was over 10 years ago and I don't know if they changed the design since

Welcome back. As others have posted not much has changed since pre covid days

What's the Honey Badger like? I've heard it's a pile of crap 😁
I can understand why sites have stuck with pre-booking as it makes setting up for the day a bit less stressful as sites have a clearer idea of the numbers so can plan games around it. I'm sure everyone's regular site has games which work really well with the right numbers, but go to shit if numbers are too high or low.

As above. IIRC airsoft monkey is the tech Combat UK use so you won't need to take the poorly gun far
-
There's also the grin factor. GBB pistols are way more fun to shoot.
Do you find yourself in situations where a pistol is needed often, eg tight spaces where moving with a rifle is difficult? If not then you might find it more beneficial to carry something which will be more useful like a pouch with an extra mag (plus it'll be easier on the wallet). Let's face it, the majority of airsofter's pistols spent 99% of the game sat in a holster.

Start by contacting Patrolbase, tell them the problem with the gun, and get a replacement or refund.
Fixed.
If its only fired 300 shots before shitting the bed then it needs to go back (assuming the OP hasn't done anything to void warranty, eg opening up the gearbox)

What gets longer when you jerk it, fits between boobs, slides into a hole and loves to be pulled?
A seatbelt you pervert

different on purpose so airsoft shit doesn’t fit on RS and kill everyone
That's what I heard although I don't know how true it is. Makes sense though
Mind you, there is part of me that thinks if you're dumb enough to use airsoft parts on the pressure bearing bits of a real firearm then you deserve what you get
Back at it!
