concretesnail got a reaction from Emergencychimps in boots/footwear for airsoft,
Emergencychimps has hit the nail straight on the head. Fit is everything. I'd spend in footware much readily than the latest kit, and a good pair will last and be versatile so you can wear them more.

Glad you enjoyed the lower round count and reloading.

A habit I began when playing gbbr was to drop a bag in the respawn area with a collection of magazines.
Rather than refilling the empties, for a quicker turnaround, drop the empties and load up in the full ones.
It's still something I do now when playing with aeg low caps. It's a lovely convenience.

If its a printed part you should be able to get it printed with the sleeve that slides over tail from the receiver extended to the depth you need.

If you're not albe to do that. Then I'd grab a hacksaw and trim the receiver to suit.

I'd bet that it's just connector for the battery wiring to get through the stock tube. As a fair few aeg don't use the tube threads to connect to the receiver. The tube slides over a support post with a small hole for the wires but not big enough for the tamiya connector to get through. Like g&g use spade connectors.

I'd cut them off and extend the wiring to get into the stock, then decide on what connector to use. personally I prefer xt type connections.

It's a mistake I nearly made when buying mine ;). Had an rpc in the end and it's great.

The covert doesn't have clips, it's a smooth front and the straps from the pathfinder are retained. There is hook panel on the back which helps it to hold still.

Dmr wise there area good few options out there but I'd stick with something that is in a 'dmr' calibre as some site require that it look the part.
I used a g&g 308 as I wanted a dmr calibre magazine and the gearbox is a standard v2 when it comes to parts. Perun also make a drop in mosfet which adds useful features.

As for the pistol, something that is reliable is a must as you could be using it frequently, not just to clear corners and structures. I'd be looking at TM first as they work solidly out of the box and the plastic slides means they are usually gas efficient. Personally I use an m&p9

The pathfinder rig is fine if you only want to run stanag mags but if you fancy a change at some point you might be better off looking at rigs that use an insert system or a plate carrier that uses placards sp pouches can be changed.
If you go for plate carrier it's certainly worth paying for a better one over clones and cheapest ad they carry and spread loads better and vent heat better.
I have a warrior rpc and love it. I do run weighted plates in it.
I do have both plate carrier and chest rigs and they both have their place. Think about how you want it to function and what you want fit wise.
Something like the ops minimo could be a good start and if you want a plate carrier then the placard system is interchangeable.

Natural wear, that way the wear pattern will be in the areas you manipulate the rif and how you use it.
If you want to speed up the process do some drills and play in very textured gloves.

Sorry not seen any of those about outside of rifs that have them integrated. I didn't want a bipod dangled off the bottom o my dmr so went with some like these....

Looks good fella. The nose is 'period correct' as a lot of the tourer/adventure bikes had the pod style front end.

Glad to see people being sensible, there was a pack of youths trying to survive on cans of a monster type drink last time out in the heat and they all dropped with headaches.

I'm always surprised at peoples lack awareness of kit and prep for conditions. So many have nice kit but don't have hydration on/in it.

Drink lots over the days before and keep sipping slowly throughout the day. I have bladders in all my kit and usually leave additional water in a spawn bag, with gas and bbs, with more in the van too.

That's about right, I was looking at some others last night and even some phone sleeve things that are coloured and they all seem to go up to size 22cm circumference, not a chance that'll fit.
