Would you be willing to share this knack?  I found that in woodland games (my type of game) dirt ingress was the major concern with fiddling around.

I know what you mean, i dropped a mag in a load of wet plaster board a few weeks ago, yuk.

I found if I hook the follower with the tip of the speed loader then seat the loader into the feed tube the follower gets fed back into the mag.  Trying to do it upside down for the camera is a pain but hopefully you get the idea.

This has to be better than the g2 cut off I have in my sr15 e3.

I bought 4 of the g2 mags and used them for one game as the damn noodle pops out when empty and is a pain in arse to do a quick refill.

    Time will tell.

A lot of mags have the long follower now to feed all the bbs. There's a knack to quick loading. I seem to manage OK with the 308 mags.

Electronic Paintball guns have been using optical eyes for years (nearly 20 actually) to prevent chopping. The technology is well proven in greasy and dirty conditions, assuming it's been implemented right by G&G.

Fingers crossed then, even of its just a quick coat of conformal to weather proof it it could be good news then.

Mini slide switch or micro toggle switch.  You'll need to know how many pins it is, my guess is 4-pin.  I've got some on their way to me, not for the g&g but for another etu but they look similar in size.  You're welcome to one of them when they arrive.

@ak2m4Just done some measuring and they look to be the same, let me know when they get in and I'll pop and order in as I need a few bits as well.

  5. As far as inserts go have a look for kydex units. I use a set of 7.62 kydex grips in my bungee ak pouches, as I didn't want the bungee. The kydex holds the pouch open enough so I can jam a magazine in at speed and the shape of the kydex holds the mag tight enough that it doesn't jump about.

  6. If cared for and treated with respect, good quality lipos should be fine, with early signs of degradation showing so they can be disposed of safely.

For charging peace of mind you can use a batsafe box.

Can be found with other retailers too. I use one while parallel charging 4s or 6s batteries.

In case you're not aware - those look like surface mount components so you'll need to make sure you have a very fine point on your soldering iron and that you have temperature control on it!

I do, I build a lot of fpv drones so fine soldering isn't an issue, more finding the the parts is the hard work.

Thank you, I'm sure they are four pin, I'll check and get a measurement at the same time.

  9. Ess eye wear have models which carry inserts. You get the prescription lense fitted to the inserts and then they mount into the goggle. And I'm sure oakley do prescription eye wear in the balistic range, they do it for sun glasses.

I use ess eye pro and rate it highly, though I've not used the inserts as I wear contacts.

Alternatively i know a few folk who wear glasses under dye masks but I guess it would be dependant on what profile your glasses hold as to whether they'd fit under.

  10. Like you I need a setup that I can change rif and keep playing. I use a warrior rpc and have different placards for each rif setup. I have ak open top pouches on currently but in the case with my mp9 is full placard setup for it. Two clips and rip, new pouches go on. If you don't want a plate carrier then ops do the minimo chest rig. It take placards and having used the ops before I've found the quality to be good.

  11. I've just tried my racal frontier under a dye i4 and the fit was fine. Radio comes through the left ear, and microphone os built into the right ear.  I have it running through a ptt into a baofeng 5ur radio.

If you really want over ear then I'd look to remove the ear Pro from the mask and go from there, but look to get some gel cups as they conform better to a misshapen set of surfaces (in use peltors for work with assorted pieces of ppe)

  12. Tobiasc95, first thing to check is the magazines. Check that the indent that holds the mag release catch is clean and undamaged. If they are then the issue is likely in the magwell.

If you undo the screw on the larger paddle side of the mag release you should be able to remove all of the parts and inspect them.

If the magazines are okay, then you should be able to gently bend the mag release bar to move the hook part of the unit more into the mag well.

Pictures will help greatly if following the above doesn't make sense or doesn't work.

For future reference if a magazine gets jammed in the mag well undoing the screw on the large mag release paddle allows the entire catch system to be pushed through and off the well completely.

If you need any other info I've done quite a bit to my g&g 308 so stand a good chance of being able to answer questions.

  13. First time with op-tac at the kingdom on Saturday, for a 12hr battle sim event. Initial briefing covered all the health and safe stuff and broad rules for the day such as; medics, surrender, capture, etc. With a closed game brief with objectives and timings held for each team in their own fob just before game on.

Games went well, some nice variety in objectives to play throughout the day, as well as time and vip exclusive tasks.

Structured brake / cease fire allowing for provided food if ordered and wanted by the players, being the only stoppage of play throughout the day.

The site is a good mix of natural environment and built structures spread over large area with plenty of elevation changes.

Facilities wise some of the best I've seen on airsoft events; wooden cabins, solid fixture toilet and shower block which was clean and fresh.

With some good footwear and play you will have a cracking day there. I'll be going back without a doubt.
