  1. It might not be specifically what you have asked for but I've run mp9 gbbr mags off a belt before and found that anything that has the mags sticking up tall from the pouch was a pain. When things are rig or pc mount used molle and decide to drop a kydex stiffening panel behind the molle when running the same chest size molle pouches in a belt setup.

Basically it's a sheet if kydex given some curve and molle slots cut into it. Then run the pouches straps through the kydex panel as you mount the pouch to the belt. It worked really well.

The pouch is the ops quad pouch from hueys.

I have rifs that say they’re lipo compatible on the site I brought them from (patrol base)

its just when I read about how they need specifical charger’s as well as charge safe bags and you need to store them in specific ways it meant there’s a lot of changes I’d have to make and equipment I’d have to buy to switch over to them

You will need a lipo charger, but luckily most good chargers that are used for lipo packs will do other chemistries too. As for the rhe bags. I don't rate them at all. They aren't fire proof, and they don't filter fumes in the event of a pop.

If you're worried about having them in the house then that's OK, in have seen big lipos go and it's not for everyone. However if you treat them well, charge in a sensible way and don't over discharge point there's not reason it should fail.

There's plenty of lipo advise about the forum, on chargers and setups etc. But if you're unsure just ask.

  3. I think it is, with the caveat that check your rifs have a low voltage cut off or you're prepared to check the battery throughout the day or swap to a second pack if needed.

Lipo batteries can have much stronger output than batteries of a comparable size in other chemistries. When we want rifs to look a particular way, use particular stocks having to house batteries can be the limiting factor with lipo batteries it much less of an issue.

  4. I use xt connectors on everything. Simply as all my charging kit is xt based for quad flight batteries and other rc stuff. They work really well xt30s are compact and the weather seal is good to.

If you have issues soldering them connect a male to female and then if the connector over heats it can't drift as the other half holds it.

  5. It's likely repairable if the trace is still there and you have a soldering iron, or somebody close by that could help. Obvious don't put your address on here but an area might help fond someone local who can help.

Other than that drop a new mosfet in, personally I've been using the peruns and found them very good.

  6. I use and have use a wide variety of bladder systems over the years, during various actives so ill try to help.

Unless space in the carrier or the weight is a massive issue I'd rather have more storage and not use all of it than not have enough water.

Removable tube is super useful For routing through straps and kit, as well as cleaning. If it isn't its not the end of the world camelbak and source hydration use the same size tubes and source do a retrofitting kit to make tubes removable and its very good if you want to.

Better bladers don't affect the taste of the water, cheap ones do, must be the make up of the plastic.

Both source and camelbak do tougher bladders for rougher use and I've not managed to pop one yet.

Of the ones you listed I'd be going for the camelbak 3l version. Genuine camelbak and a sleeved tube.

I run a similar setup, with a few changes happening after playing with it a few times, including long events/sims/over night. I got rid if weapon hook retention part and swapped for a 2 point sling that can snugged up for two free hands or swung round to the back and cinched tight, vtac sling the padded version. I also added a danger, too useful not to.

  8. I know a few sites used to do gbb and spring days/games. And FAO did a pistols only night not so long ago, not sure which site they used for that one though.

A lot of milsim have limited ammo or low cap mag requirements but you have to look for individual events and their requirements.

Personally the biggest mag I run in an aeg is 100rnd midcap. It nice to have the reload and limited supplies.
