  1. Have you got the silicon insert for your Odin @Dan Robinson?
  2. And now it becomes clear! Seems like you're sorted 👍
  3. I do get the impression that the whole BB weight/FPS/joule/range quagmire is finally becoming clearer for people. Shame that there are still a few sites insisting on chronoing with .20g and using FPS instead of joules from the ammo weight you're using.
  4. I generally use ASG Open Blasters in .28 for AEG and .32 in MWS. Have to say Geoffs were also my go to, so appreciate the alternatives being mentioned here. May try BLS and Warhead.
  5. Is it Vorsk gas that names it like that?
  6. @Salamanca are you running regular green gas? If so, I'm wondering what 144a would do to those numbers?
  7. Yeah, that's what I thought. 250mm is probably where I'll stay, should I decide to take the plunge.
  8. Looking for some advice, or even words of wisdom/caution, regarding inner barrels. I'm pretty happy with the stock TM 250mm barrel, but I'm curious to see how, say a Prommy or PDI barrel performs. My next build has a 14.5" outer barrel, so I guess I could go up to 370mm. I know the length doesn't really make too much difference to range/accuracy on carbine/rifle barrels, but I think I'm right in saying they can increase FPS slightly? Mine's been close to site limits from stock on .3s, so again, curious to hear from those in the know as I'm not planning on fitting an NPAS. Bore size is also something I'd like to hear about. The TM barrel is 6.08 I think. Any comments regarding the performance on tighter bores?
  9. Yes, exactly. Must admit my only experience with blank rounds is through real steel with BFAs attached, not actual blank firers, which, as pointed out, do have blocked barrels. Appreciate the clarification.
  10. Ah man, I had the stainless version! Wonder if that's still kicking around in a dusty corner of my parents' loft.
  11. Don't really feel like I'm missing out as I've built my own variants, but I do wish they'd have been a bit more adventurous. Even changing the magazine to a P-mag would have been something. A gas MP5 has to be in the offing at some point, surely.
  12. I bought an 8 Fields slick carrier for my son when he started playing last year. For the money, it's been absolutely fine, with little wear, and, to my mind, better value than Viper's offerings.
  13. Yes, they have the barrel blocked so that the gas can cycle the action. From close range/point blank range, a blank could seriously ruin your day. Not the point I'm making
  14. Stand in front of someone firing it and I beg to differ
  15. The hop chamber is the issue. Put the barrel and rubber into the stock chamber and works perfectly. Lesson learnt. Anyone wanting a nearly new, ML hop chamber, adjustment wheel, hop arm and I-key, hit me up for a TM/WE Glock, hit me up 🤣
  16. The impression I get is the nozzle seal is loose, so that's where the gas is venting. This is the set I bought. Going to have a little play around with it over the weekend to see if I can sort it.
  17. Although I rarely use my sidearm, an original release Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4, I decided that when I do I'd like it to spit BBs further than the 20m it manages. I figured changing the hop chamber and barrel would be an easy win, so scouring the depths of Google, decided on the Maple Leaf drop in set with the Crazy Jet barrel. I ordered the version suitable for TM/WE and VFC versions and it arrived yesterday. After fitting it, loading a mag and racking the slide, I was poised with the chrono ready to be amazed. Sadly, pulling the trigger results in a massive release of gas followed by a BB begrudgingly dribbling out of the barrel. Absolutely zero power behind it. To me it seems like the nozzle is not a good fit for in hop chamber, and I think this is where the gas is being lost. I will try the barrel with the OG hop chamber at the weekend, but I'm open to any advice from the masses. Oh, and for control purposes, I also tried it in my son's Glock, which is the same make and model, but bought this year. Same results.
  18. No, never received anything and all messages asking what was going on went unanswered. Had to raise a dispute through PayPal and I got a refund.
  19. I have three PEQ15 style boxes on my guns, and I've just bought an NGAL.Two have green lasers and two red. Here's the thing though. I NEVER use the lasers. I did when I got my first PEQ, using it purely as a target designator "He's behind that tree!" but thinking about the risk to other players, I soon stopped. Not worth the risk to other players. Now they're just for looks.
  20. Nice one Wavey. And I'd clocked you only need to partially remove to replace the zet plate. Relieved, too!
  21. I'm going to be installing the BavTac Zet plate, and, as I've never removed the trigger box before, I'm after advice as it seems like a nause. I've seen the 'hammer the trigger' and the 'use a flat head and rock it out' methods. Any other preferred, preferably successful and non-damaging ways I should consider?
  22. At the beginning of the year I decided to take the plunge and make a second MWS build. Although I'm really happy with my first, which I run completely stock, standfast a SixG nub and externals, this one I plan on tinkering with a bit. I started buying parts a few months back, and yesterday the last ones arrived. I'm building a 14.5" SOCOM URG-I from the following purchases: · TM M4A1 Carbine base · HAO Mk16 13.5” handguard · HAO SOCOM Daniel Defense 14.5” outer barrel · HAO Surefire 4-prong flash hider · HAO Geiselle low profile gas block · HAO Geiselle Ultra Precision trigger guard · HAO SF 556 SOCOM suppressor (hardcore version) · Angry Gun Geiselle Airborne Charging Handle · Magpul K2+ grip · Magpul M-LOK hand stop · Magpul SL Stock · BavTac MHN · Bavtac Titanium Zet Plate · BavTac 140% nozzle return spring · Blue Force Gear padded VCAS (Olive Drab) · Blue Force Gear QD sling swivel x2 · WADSN metal NGAL I may also add a Magpul BAD lever and some rail covers, but for now Romeo Dunn on the purchasing. To complete the build I'm going to repurpose a HAO Geiselle Super Precision scope mount, Vortex Crossfire II 1-4x 24 scope and Element Surefire Scout Light M600. Before I start though, I want to get the gun out, box fresh, and run a few hundred rounds through it as is, and measure stock performance, before I start dicking around. edit - Forgot to add that, as great as the HAO suppressor is, don't buy the Hardcore version like I did. Thing weighs a ton. The cheaper Airsoft version would've been a better choice.
