That'll get snapped up

I had a similar battle trying to get a bog standard, no frills, OG metal and wood Cyma AK47 a few years back. I remember being on the phone asking a few retailers if they could source one, and all of them saying along the lines of; "What, no rails or anything? Isn't that boring?" No, no it's not. It's classic, you belt-fed throbber.

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

I'm still using up my last bulk buy of Zero One Pro gas and regular Ultrair (beige can) but will be taking these to the range with me tomorrow. @SSPKali has now started an obsession with me about gas, so, along with the ASG Power Gas, I've also got Vorsk V6, V8 and V12 on order, and still have some Nuprol 2.0 and 3.0 kicking about. Being on leave this week with no plans after finishing my build earlier this week, I was looking for another little project, and this is it. Spreadsheet drawn up, MWS and GM mags all weighed on empty, and I'm almost ready to go. Oh, and as a precaution, I do have a few spare enhanced nozzle return springs should the gun shit itself under pressure 😂 -
I have to agree @RostokMcSpoons For an MWS compatible GBBR, this looks too good to be true. I'm glad we're getting the DE versions here (not a kidney shot at you Rostok, honest) as the T8 versions seem to have a few more issues from the limited research I've done. Also, T8 parts don't play nicely with anything other than T8 parts,so upgrading will be more limited, and on the quality front, T8 are no Guns Modify. It'd be nice to see a retailer send a review gun to @Bada Bing or Ollie Talks Airsoft, as they're basically the only YouTubers I follow that really understand GBB guns and aren't shills for manufacturers to hawk their products to the masses. I do hope that this brings more players to the GBBR space. It can only be good for the after-market parts (yes, we'll get some shit, but, you know, airsoft!) and more GBB players on the field would make for a more enjoyable experience for units like me to compete in 😂

As topics of discussion go, gun bags isn't the most exciting, but they're essential in our hobby. I currently have a few; a Buffalo rifle bag, an 8 Fields double bag and a DSLeaf rifle bag from Amazon. The DSLeaf is my main bag, and is ok. Storage for magazines and other odds and sods, but it's not the most robust. The 8 Fields is used only for storage as it's fairly flimsy, and the Buffalo is beautifully padded but lacks storage. I do have a large Nuprol case, but never use it because it's too cumbersome. Any recommendations for a bag that can securely carry two (heavy) rifles, GBBR magazines, admin items, has decent padding and is ruggedly built? I don't mind spending a bit to protect my RIFs, but at the same time I don't want to be bent over.

In the nicest possible way Jim, F*CK YOU!!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I am very jealous. That's a great collection of some very handsome looking gats. Bravo sir, bravo 👏

Well that's just superb! What's spooky is, with the exception of the stock, this looks just like the build I completed this week. Tremendous work.

I've said this on a couple of other threads recently, so apologies for repeating. Last month I bought a RIF from WGC Shop in Hong Kong. From point of order to delivery was less than two weeks and there wasn't any additional duty or fees to pay. My UKARA was printed on the outside of the box and the package hadn't been opened for inspection. However, a few years ago, I bought a RIF from Swit Airsoft that took around three weeks to deliver after receiving a £90+ charge from HMRC. I suspect that the mismatch between UKARA address and delivery address is part of the issue, as I know UK retailers won't deliver if the addresses don't match. ** @Asomodainailed it 👆

Not wanting to hijack @SSPKalistatus update any more, time to be more adventurous with fuel for the MWS. For anyone interested, this is the temp chart from the can, giving approx psi output against temperatures -
Although I've not taken the plunge myself, I was tempted based on how frickin cool the Gary Gordon/Danny Archer CAR-15s are. I suspect that, plus Larry Vickers are the root causes.

Roger 14 is a shout. Ultimate A-Team vibes

Like Rostok "I have no affiliation with DE" McSpoons, I'm a big gas blowback fan, so GBB versions of: MP5 A3/SD6 WA2000 M1 Garand Browning Hi-Power Ruger P90 (x 2, Antonio Banderas style) Galil L115A3

Talking to UPS like
-
Seems really weird as several UK-based retailers use UPS. Fingers crossed you get squared away pal
-
@PewPew4U did the request come from UPS or WGC?
-
I placed an order for some MWS mags a couple of days ago which are being delivered by UPS. Wonder if I'll be asked?
-
That's odd. I ordered a RIF from WGC a couple of months back and it was delivered by UPS no problem. Assuming you've got UKARA and stated it in your details when you ordered?
-
Nice one @Speedbird_666 May have a play with a file...and order a set of replacements too!

In my son's never-ending quest to selfishly swallow up my airsoft funds to boost his own collection, the latest request was for a plate carrier. He's been running a TMC Spiritus clone, which has been great, but the lure of resembling a Tier 1 door-kicker is too much I guess. Cheers CoD! Anyway, after a quick search, and preferring quick-release style instead of velcro cummerbund, I got him an Invader Gear QRB carrier in Vegetato (he's classy). My thinking was I could attach the chest rig chassis to the PC and not need to splash out on an additional placard or pouches. However, Invader Gear seem to have used really odd swift clips that don't play nicely with any others. I reckon it's probably easier to replace the swift clips for the usual universal ones, but thought I'd see if any of you have any experience with Invader PCs/pouches and know of any compatible gear?

@ak2m4E-Express is available on orders under $1,000 HKD (approx £100) which my last one was. The rest have been UPS IIRC.
-
Don't tell me that! 🤣 I placed another order with them a few days ago for some more Guns Modify P-mags. This is my fourth order from them and so far, no charges.🤞
-
Not personally, but Holy Warrior look to be affordable and their reputation for repro sights is really strong

I've just flicked through the Jaeger Precision video of the complete takedown of the Noveske. That trigger box basically jumped out itself. Why Marui? WHY??????

Cheers Duff. I was looking at those on Tactical Kit over the weekend. Definite contender.
