  1. My son has started playing in the last year or so. I got him a Cyma AKS-74U, which is awesome, but recently he went the M4 route, so picked him up a Specna. So far it's been great out of the box, with good range and accuracy. A couple of members on here (can't remember their names 🤥) are big DE fans, and I'd trust their opinions too. Can't speak on the Bulldog, but I've heard similar to the opinions expressed above. Provided it holds together, it'll be fine for your lad's first pew. If it interests you, you should play too. Not only can you get your UKARA (not a licence!) to say goodbye to two-tones, but it's a great parent/child experience. I was getting bored of skirmishing but since the lad has joined in, it's given it a whole new slant. Hope you have the same experience 👍
  2. I think the stock grip on an MWS, combined with the flat trigger guard is one of the most uncomfortable combos out there. Very wise to replace 👍
  3. Try Impulse101. They restock quicker and service is fantastic https://impulse101.jp/en/mp7a1/tokyo-marui-spare-parts-mp7a1-gbb-mgg1-126-front-cap-4334
  4. Agree about TM spares. Always a bun fight to get them when they release a batch. I have been looking at the HAO BCG recently, with Unicorn nozzle set. Tempted to try, just to see. Anyone any experiences with either the BCG and/or nozzle? Generally though, standfast nozzle return springs, TM parts all day.
  5. Impulse101 are out of stock, as are Rainbow8. Keep an eye though because they're a lot cheaper, service is fast, even from Japan/HK. Impulse charge 550 yen. That's a little over £3!
  6. Look a couple of posts up. SixG brass nub is the gold standard, but, like @Davegolfmentions, BavTac and Jaegar are muscling in. I have a couple if BavTac MHN but not installed yet. I'll report back when do
  7. Impulse101 for OG TM spares. Not sure if they're in stock at the moment, but keep an eye and get 'em while you can
  8. @Davegolf you are one of the most respected people on this forum, not to mention helpful in dispensing advice. I understand how much this must have pissed you off, but this guy seems like the equivalent of a wasp buzzing around your pint in a beer garden; annoying but ultimately not enough to ruin your day.
  9. I have an NGRS and MWS as my main guns. Both of them worked great from new, but over time I've done a few bits and bobs. The MWS is pretty stock internally, while the NGRS has probably had around £400 of internal work done. I only did this after a part eventually broke (stripped piston) and it now has a different inner barrel, gear set and is wired to Dean's. What I will say is, I carried on playing after the TM shit itself, using my £200, bone stock Cyma AK47, and it was amazing! No doubt (as TLH and Rostok say) you could pay half as much on upgrading a £200 gun, and get something that performs as well as, if not better than a TM.
  10. Not much more to add to the above. I will add that, like others, I've poured a fair amount of cash into my two main RIFs, and I don't mind them picking up a few battle scars. A gun that's worn in is far better looking to me than something box-fresh. Sounds like you'd be better off keeping your wall hangers at home though. Even if you're super careful with them, just one skirmish will Inevitably cause a few marks. Just shoulder the gun against your face-pro can scratch it, let alone taking a weapon hit.
  11. If it is for the Odin-style, a double M4 mag pouch is what you're after
  12. 50m? I'm lucky to get 10 with my "Offishul lysensed" VFC 🤣
  13. @Davegolfappreciate the filled weight info. I had an absolute shocker with my MWS at the weekend, barely clearing a full mag despite it being 12-14°C, and the last few shots being limp as a vicar's handshake. I'll purge and refill using the 1 second on, 9 second rest and see if I hit the magic 470g on all six mags. As for the GM P-mags, that's another story but same results 🙄
  14. In the last three months I've had orders from JK Army, WGC Shop and HAO. You're having your leg lifted pal
  15. Best way pal. I'll be ditching the PC soon...but yes, I fully own being a gear whore 🤣
  16. Drop me a line if you do mate. And again, thanks for all the local suggestions 👍 Used to be a frequent visitor to that part of town! I'm usually in a variation of this, and usually accompanied by my lad. As mentioned to @Speedbird_666 and @Shamaldrop a message if you're going local and we'll arrange a meet
  17. @Speedbird_666 and I'll be at Camouflage on Sunday as it happens. @_K4MF_ sounds like we live in the same area as I'm in Ringwood. I used to play GZ regularly but have moved more to Camouflage. Speedbird has also made those same local site recommendations to me and this summer I plan on going to Dorch, Spec Ops over Wareham way, and maybe Ambush in Southampton.
  18. Take a look at the HAO rails. Superb.
  19. I have thought about an NPAS, so will probably add it to the list. Good shout. I don't generally play CQB but I am curious to go to an indoor site and see how I get on.
  20. I haven't got that many rounds through mine yet, but now warmer days are here, I'm hoping to get more time with it. The biggest battle has been purely temperature related. I will 100% not change anything internally on my existing MWS. I'm just curious to see what effect certain internal "upgrades" will have when i pick a new one up. Like I said, I fully expect after fucking about with it, to go back to the stock set-up with a SixG nub 😆
  21. From my experience dealing with Luke a couple of years back, also for an M14 funnily enough, I contacted him, said what I was looking to achieve and what my budget was. He was great at keeping in contact, and the guy works some serious hours. He will do what you want to achieve without pushing you to spend more, and let you know how much of your budget you have left before doing any further work. He films everything as well, not just for his channel, but to send to customers so they can see what's being done. He was superb, hugely knowledgeable, customer focused and, above all, has integrity. Drop him a line with what you want to do and spend, and he'll say yay or nay.
  22. Not sure about a particular loadout, but for me, it's based purely on wanting a chest rig so that I have an option besides my PC, the large storage capacity the Peacekeeper offers (I realise this isn't an exclusive feature 😂) and that I have bought a fair few things from Platatac that are really high quality. They're also a great company to deal with.
  23. Interesting. I think I mentioned earlier in the thread that I've picked up the BavTac Zet plate and a couple of nubs. My plan is to get another MWS, test it completely stock, then fit the Zet plate and nub, but keep the TM hop and bucking as is. I may also experiment with some different nozzles too. I have the feeling that my stock MWS with brass nub will still be best 😂
  24. Been waiting ages for these to come back in stock. Just ordered, together with a Y-harness.
  25. Whichever you choose, spares. I've got some TM originals, a couple of Guns Modify 150% ones and I've just bought a pair of the BavTac 140% springs.
