Biscuits Brown with rat pack peanut butter on is literally the driest substance known to man. Good luck heaving that lot out. Best you get a stick to bite down on!

I've heard the same things, but I really don't want to be splashing out on Peltors, so we'll see. It'll be a little while til I can try them in a game sadly, but I'm hoping they'll be better than the in-ear and fist mic set-up they've replaced. @MrTeathe headsets are rated NR22, which, I believe, reduces noise to a 'safe' level, rather than blocking it completely. Sounds similar to the earbuds you have. -

I think there's mixed reviews about everything 😂 Just testing them in the house (me in the kitchen, the lad upstairs) with Naofeng UV5-Rs, they work and the sound is clear from the mics and through the headset speakers. They seem well made, are comfortable and they look like theyll stand up to a BB hit or two, so that's good enough for me. What they'll be like in the field is a different matter of course. My hearing is already shot, so the noise reduction is too little too late, but should reduce the 'what the fuck was that' moments when a tag round lands near you. Overall, first impressions decent but reserving judgement as always. -

No comms, no bombs, right **edit** forgot to say, I ordered these from the Earmor store. I put everything in my basket, then got distracted, went to do something else, and by the time I returned, they'd emailed me a 15% discount code, so, you know, save yourselves some money 🤙 -
I was staggered at how powerful mine was compared to an MWS, so yep, different gas and your hop will sort you right out.

No, not me buddy. Interestingly, I broke the replacement set in the same place when I was changing lenses. Given the design, I guess that's always going to be the weak spot, but my Sawflys have survived many a lens change over the past eight years. LIke I said though, their customer service was spot on and their response time on Insta was really good. Absolutely cannot fault them for that, and instead applaud them for showing far more care than so many other established brands. -

Hey bud. No, I bought mine a while ago. To be fair, they're the best of the bunch, and when you're moving, they're pretty good. As soon as I stop though it's like being in Jack the Ripper's London, hence the trial with the AFU. I did have an issue with the Bloc's where, after a BB strike on the lens at the bridge of the nose, a crack appeared. I contacted them on Insta and their customer service was great. They asked for the lens to be sent back so they could investigate, and replaced it FOC. This is what happens when cousins like each other too much! -

Thanks buddy. That's the only bit that concerns me as I'm as subtle as rhino when it comes to using a hammer! **update** It went surprisingly well, considering the supplied punch is about as much use as tits on a fish. Now I just need to find a couple of counterweight pouches, and a battery pouch I can bodge onto a boonie. -

That's good to hear! I'm an absolute sweat monster, even before I begin, and it seems my son is following suit. I've used my issued Sawfly, Bolle glasses and goggles and currently use Bloc, all of which fog, so this was a desperate gamble 😂 I'm sure you've seen the YouTube vids (especially the Exfog dude getting massively emotional!) highlighting the flimsy case, but my sone will wear his in a pouch on his helmet, and I'm going to botch fit some sort of pouch (tape and cable ties probably) to my boonie. Appreciate the feedback on the mag connector too, as I was a little dubious. -

They really do have our best interests at heart, don't they? And as I was typing that message, UPS dropped this off. Irony. And yes, I'm quite prepared for all the Novritsch hate and for how the unit is flimsy af compared to Exfog, etc, etc. I just want to be able to see! -

I ditched my credit card years ago, pre-airsoft addiction. As I'm looking to improve my comms game, may be time to rethink 🤔😂 -

Small wins @Impulse so take that as a positive Small wins @Impulse so take them. Good to hear progress is being made 👍

Yep, standard TM 35-rd MWS mags will work. I suspect the Guns Modify, Ace 1 Arms, G&P and T8 P-mags will also fit.
-
Yeah, good point. I think I've spent too long on the Internet and I'm becoming too precious 😂 It's an interesting point about niche weapons. I think I mentioned it further up the thread, but TM have models from anime and video games in their range as they know their audience will buy them. I'm not sure a KS-1 would. I'm off to have a word with myself and stroke my MWS until I find my happy place 🤣

Nice little delivery from JK Army. Now to rebuild the v.1 GM mags with the v.2 kits...oh, and another mag for good measure. -
Appreciate the responses fellas, thank you. For no other reason than curiosity, my futures purchases are likely to be: Jaeger Titan nub Jaeger bolt weight set SixG HSB (they in stock @Davegolf?) and possibly the HAO Geissele bolt and steel weight. I blame @SSPKalientirely for sparking this curiosity, and both hate and thank him in equal measures 😂

In my ongoing obsession to take a perfectly good, functioning gun, and see just how many ways I can interfere with its fantastic stock performance, let's talk bolts, buffers and nubs. When I say bolts, I mean bolt weights. I'm a big fan of the BavTac MWS parts and notice he has a brass bolt weight, and is working on a titanium version too. Jaeger Precision also has new bolt weights, in stainless and titanium. Any thoughts, experiences, recommendations or warnings with changing bolt weights? BTW, I'm not the sort of person after 'realistic' recoil or kick. Anyone who's shot 5.56 knows the recoil is minimal anyway. With buffers, I've recently bought but not fitted the GM high tenacity polymer buffer. I plan on running higher power gas during the winter, so thought it best to have a spare. Again, thoughts, recommendations etc. Finally, nubs. I've used stock, SixG brass and BavTac MHN. All work well, but the stock limits BB weight to .28, possibly .3s in my experience. Anyone used the Jaeger Titan nub?

1911s look awesome anyway, but I have to say the phots @Impulseposted are tremendous. -
Mate, I've done it once before and thought "Christ, that's a ballache to sort..won't be doing that again!" The long boi I posted above was still not behaving, so I swapped the optic out onto the shorty, and headed to the range. Only then I noticed my charging handle was missing...then I realised why 🙄 I've still no idea why I removed the bolt in the first place. I'd just chronoed ffs! **edit** Joy of joys!!! Instead of having to unscrew the buffer like I did last time, using an allen key to push the buffer back into place worked a treat!
-
So, you know how you've got to be an absolute tool to take out the BCG, but leave your buffer and spring in, then close the receiver?
-
IIRC a 50mm or smaller grouping of 5 shots on the 25m range was the pass mark for the basic weapon handling course
-
Have a look at some of the AATV clips on YouTube for an idea on what to expect on group sizes with different weight BBs. Exactly. It's people not knowing the difference between maximum effective range and maximum range. Also, 70 airsoft metres is usually between 40 and 50 actual metres.
