  1. Ooh, I get what you mean! It's a solution, I guess, but man, that's doesn't seem too practical and, my opinion only, but it doesn't look good at all. Back to the BUIS, I run either PEQs or NGALs on three of my rifles, and have removed the irons off all of them. Airsoft guns have shitty ballistics. You can always use fall of shot as a guide.
  2. Would the Knights Armament BUIS work?
  3. I can understand that. Depending on the quality of the holo, parallax can be an issue when you're moving.
  4. Given the shortage of Geoffs BBs, as noted in another topic thread, let's give these badgers a go
  5. My holo is ok, but I find a smaller reticule better. Even shooting with gen EOTechs I used to find hit and miss...generally miss 🤣 On a GPMG you can just walk your rounds on to the target though 👍 I am leaning that way. The Crossfire red dot was a favourite, and I have a Crossfire scope too. @Emergencychimpspoint is interesting though, as I use a 1.93" scope mount and find it really comfortable.
  6. A T2 on a riser is a possibility. At £55 I'd be almost willing to take a chance and run it without a protector. One to think about 👍
  7. If you did, they'd be a pouch for something else. "Alright lads, just make it fit"
  8. Don't bet on it. It wasn't unheard of for us to coordinate with other assets via WhatsApp when comms became, as they often do, fucked 😂
  9. If I never have to remove a trigger box again, it'll be too soon. What an absolutely vicious bastard of a job that was. It has taken more than an hour to get the fucker out, and that was only by resorting to brute force and the bigger hammer! True to form, despite only wanting to get the trigger box free enough to change the Zet plate, during my fuckery, one of the sear springs made a jump for it. Fortunately I caught it, but that meant that not only have I had to remove the box entirely, but then disassemble it to replace the little sod. Unbelievably, everything is now back in one piece, with a beautiful rainbow-hued Bavtac Zet plate installed and working like a charm. The externals can wait until the morning.
  10. I'd be angling for a full refund from PB. Seems to be an oft-told tale with them when it comes to RIFs. On the tech front, Sam at Kingdom of Airsoft is superb. He's worked on my TM 416 a couple of times, as parts needed replacing, and has just worked wonders on my son's Specna, including fitting a Perun and Clicker, which are great. He's full of advice for your build too. Hope it works out for you pal.
  11. I'm in the market for a new red dot for one of my builds, and am looking at either a Sig Rome 5 or a Vortex Sparc, and wondered if anyone could chip in with their views or perhaps make a couple of suggestions along similar lines. I already have a Vortex Crossfire red dot, and that does its job just fine, but I have passed that to my son. I like the styling of the Sparc and that it's available in FDE is also a tick in the box. The lifetime guarantee is also attractive as it means I can do away with lens protectors, which kill the vibe a bit for me. The Romeo 5 seems very similar to the Sparc (same 2 MOA dot, small, relatively light etc) but not being available in FDE, lack of lifetime guarantee and the price - I prefer the XDR model - are niggling me. I have a repro EOTech EXP3 on another gun, with a G43 magnifier, and while it's a decent repro (not Holy Warrior though) I'm not after a holographic sight or similar. Any from Holosun I should consider in a similar price range?
  12. You're really not missing much, but here we are: Green Gas.mp4 Red Gas.mp4
  13. I still have the original TM motor/ i was contemplating a Warhead brushless, but I'm in no hurry. Maybe if the OG gives up the ghost I will
  14. Really comprehensive answer Hamster, thank you. The settings are done by percentage on the app, and I do think it has the de-cocking feature you mention. I think I'll nip back down the range tomorrow and have a play. I just wasn't sure if one counteracted the other, or risked excessive wear on your motor or piston. AEGs are a dark art to me. GBBRs are far simpler 😂 I did notice the grip getting warmer when shooting, but to be fair, this was on a range where I was rattling down more rounds than I ever would in a game! One thing I will say is that the real steel trigger feel is barely noticeable. If that's important to you, I reckon the Perun Clicker in my son's gun has a more positive feel.
  15. I recently had a Leviathan fitted to my absolute workhorse TM 416 NGRS. Programming via the app is really straightforward, and it's easy to set individual profiles for different play styles. I am struggling a little with things like precocking and active braking, as in, I'm not sure of the benefits/drawbacks. Can somebody more enlightened/intelligent offer any advice? I'll add that I'm 99.9% a semi-auto only player, and not interested in 50 rounds a second, speedy boi stuff.
  16. @SSPKali I posted this a while back when curiosity about red v green gas got the better of me I generally run the Zero One gas or ASG Ultrair as standard, but am tempted to get a couple of cans of Vorsk. As an aside, these were results from the standard TM mag. With the Guns Modify P-mags, FPS is higher by 5-15 FPS.
  17. Mine is the same model! I've seen the Poseidon kits and they look to be more suitable. I only wish I'd seen them before shelling out almost £60 for what has turned out to be a replacement barrel and hop rubber 😂 If you take the plunge and get the Poseidon, let me know how you get on.
  18. I tend to leave my batteries alone after game day, and charge them the day before I use them. Running a lipo into the ground will knacker it. Leaving it between 25-80% has no detrimental effects in my experience. Worth grabbing a battery capacity tester. They're only about a tenner on Amazon
  19. If it's any consolation, I've bought a few things from WGC, including a RIF, and never had customs charges. Just trying to find you a silver lining...
  20. That just seems really odd as the action of chambering a round, whether manually charging, or from the bolt cycling, is the same 🤔 Hope the new mag lips sorts it
  21. That sounds really odd. Just so I understand, after making ready, a BB is chambered correctly, then, after firing the first round, as the next BB is being chambered by the bolt returning, it just drops out of the barrel, without you pulling the trigger?
  22. There's still a bit, but it's very muted in comparison, which you'd hope for, right?!
  23. We certainly do. I bought an Odin for the boy, and when it arrived it was without the insert that mine came with. As far as I can make out, the EMG branded Odins include it, and the Odin branded don't. Anyway, may save BBs from getting a battering and is quiet for sure. Back to the original topic, I think a range of Warhead BBs may be in the shopping cart later this week
