  1. Personally I’m gonna wait till the vaccine is offered. I’ve been thinking about this long and hard and figured one may as well wait a little longer as we’ve waited and suffered so much already. Yes I’m eager to go back to running around the woods and what not but the mitigation of risk is what I think is more important in my humble opinion.

  2. Guten Tag,

The big big advantage of the Marui Mk23 pistol is that it’s practically very quiet compared to blowback pistols. It comes with a silencer and when that is screwed on the sound it makes is like a ‘thud’. There is also a hammer sound but it’s not loud. The ‘thud’ sound is very bass like so it actually sounds like you are dropping a book onto a carpeted floor. It really is that muffled.

  3. The Warrior DCS is a lovely PC. Yes it’s got fake plates but you can take them out so lighten the load. Yes it’s pricey at £130 for just the basic carrier

This is why I say for a starter Pc Viper VX is perfect. It’s light. You don’t overheat. And you can pick a new one up for £75 or used ones on here for about £45 as they come up frequently.

Mind you the one on Amazon is stonking good value. Buy it. Try it out. If it’s pants then return it. At least you have that luxury. Almost a try before you buy ;)

  4. Dude, get whatever you want. If you want a plate carrier get one, try it out. If you don’t like it sell it on. I have various rigs ranging from PC’s to chest rigs. I prefer the PC in the morning as it’s usually cold and in the affernoon I switch to a chest rig as that’s when we play the speed games

As a starter chest rig look at the Viper VX  it’s good value, decent and light. You can add bits to it as and when you feel like it.

The more you play then you will realise that running light is good. That’s why you’ll see people wearing belt rigs.

That one comes with the wrong cable.

This is the UK plug variant.

Those chargers are decent enough. Better than a basic charger for sure. And If you are only charging 1 battery at a time it'll have more than enough amperage.

That’s an interesting point about wanting to charge more than one battery at a time. Which ones are recommend in that case?

  6. Hopefully this will be the last lockdown but I hear the parks are full of people out enjoying the sunshine and it makes you wonder if that will be the case. We are fortunate in a sense that our sport is mainly outdoors. As long as we as players and site owners are sensible then there is hope and light at the end of this tunnel.

Let’s see what the announcement brings.

  7. @Jamie33You’ll make lots of friends mate. Just turn up and start chatting to people. It’s simple. And when you become a regular at a site people get to know you. It’s all good fun.

    Hey everyone,

New player up in Hull, just finished my third game at Humber airsoft and got my defence. Absolutely loving it!

Hope I get involved with the forum. Also looking to get to know any local players.

    Thanks!

Marui recoil. Do it. You know you want to 😝.

  8. That’s a standard upgrade list. Pretty much what I have sense the lonex gears as I just go full prommy. Your motor will be the downfall though.  Chuck in an upgraded motor. ASG infinity or an Action Army 30k preferably the former. Your setup will take you to 340fps easy on 0.2’s if not more.

Now here’s the interesting bit. This will make you laugh. In one of my builds I have a prommy spring guide, a lonex nozzle, a prommy 275mm tight bore and a prommy purple. Running on a stock Marui spring/cylinder/cylinder head/piston. And I’m getting 330-333fps!!! I fell over laughing. I could believe that bump in power. For curiosity I’m gonna Chuck in a M95 and see what that does and then also change the piston/cylinder etc for full prommy and again see what the result is.

  9. I like the idea of the carbine kits myself as suddenly you have a modular platform (well almost unless you have a spare barrel and hop unit which you can swap between standard and mental length).  The 3d printer has allowed people to become creative and suddenly everyone is a prop designer in their own bedroom. Anyway, back to the point in hand.... if the alleged RIF is shooting over 350fps then it should be classed as a DMR / DMP and should be subject to a Airsoft sites  DMR / DMP  policy/rules.. of course it can't look like a pistol and this is where the crux of the argument is.

  10. So, I was just browsing for "airsoft skins" and found this chap that does Camo Wraps for the AAP-01 (plus a few others). He's based in France though so not sure what the postage cost would be. He sells both the pre-cut templates below and also A4 sheets of the wrap. ...I guess the wrap could be bought over here and one could do similar. Anyone had any experience of wrapping RIFS?

About 400 ish FPS, so well over. You need a shorter barrel - I have a 180mm that’s over site limits on propane at anything over 10 degrees C.

I’m still not understanding this current craze where people want their pistol to shoot further than their long gun?

I guess it's a cheap way for some to make their pistol into a sniper!. The amount of people using printed DMR kits is insane. They stick a long barrel on and wallop they have sub 400fps DMR's!!!!!

@Bunny87your MK23 will be way over the site limit pal. Unless you intend to use it as a DMR then DMR rules will apply.

Isn't there a whole thing about changing the directing of the wiring or connector ends?

Naaaaah, it's simple really... you can buy the kits to replace the contact bars in the stock which already have a mini Tamiya connection... Using that method you don't need to touch the NGRS.

I do plan on getting another MWS though... I fancy turning it into a L119A2 :). It's just got to be done right?

Honestly if you want a NGRS as a backup gun / or something with a little more fire power then all it needs is deans connectors, decent battery, Prommy 6.03.

That's actually true...I have a NGRS which has a prommy 6.03 / purple hop/ and a spring guide... On a stock Marui piston it's pumping out 330fps!!! Go figure that one folks... But me be me, I'm ripping out the guts anyway and going all prommy inside.... I just like tinkering :D

I'm based just near J28 of M1 so I have a huge list of sites in less than an hour's drive. The site I have in mind is Skirmish Mansfield but I've also got MCG, Anzio and The Gaol where I think this would have a good bit of use. Swap suppressor for tracer (indoor mode) and I have Skirmish Kirkby, ProjectX, Hells Airsoft (new) and The Department all quite close to hand.

Gotcha. I’m 14 junctions down from you. I’m meaning to go up to Anzio too as a matter of fact. Also Gloucester prison sounds like an epic site which I want to try. I mainly play woodland truth be told where the Mk23 would work well, as you know.

Anyway, back to the AAP-01. WA drum mag or the TAP drum mag???

    It's a cheap M-ETAL one from Skirmshop

    https://www.skirmshop.co.uk/100x32mm-dummy-sound-suppressor.html

I opened it up, removed the spring from the middle, cut the 2 foam inner parts (as per an old KM mk23 suppressor video) and then used them to sandwish a scouring pad strip I stuffed in to make an "O" (FoamScourerFoam). Will find out how good it works when the primary turns up, I want to get the pressure down low for a quiet (obviously not mk23 quiet) but fast follow up setup as I'd like to use this at the local skirmish outdoor site, they have a village, netting maze, castle, outdoor speedball field I think it would do really well at.

That site sounds interesting. Where do you play? Well did play?

I am tempted to get an NGRS but I would get it from eagle 6 with upgrades and battery wiring out of the box, CBA fucking about with an AEG

They really are easy to tinker with truth be told. You just need the right tools. But all you really need to do to them is change the spring, spring guide and a tight bore and purple prommy rubber.  That’s it’s. Mind you, tight bore and a prommy purple can add up to 15fps if done properly so really you can leave the spring stock.

But yeah get one from E6 and add your upgrades if you so desire.
