  1. Yeah that should be fine... I find that my Marui QD is too big for my Magpul QD points and also it won't fit a HAO qd point. My Magpul QD's won't fit my Marui Gissele SMR QD point as it's not Milspec but fit the HAO rail perfectly.... go figure!! :)

I recommend PTS QD's as they are airsoft spec and cost about a tenner..

80psi and with 0.25g BB's I'm getting between 280 and 296 with around 293/295 the most common. Hop is not set as I don't have the range so need to factor that in a bit but not too shabby. Puts it very near the 1J marker I "prefer" to play with indoors. Expecting the PDI barrel to nudge it over which sits it squarely in the same region as my capa's.

The upgraded nozzle valve spring should calm that variation down a bit as well. Ran a couple of mags through, doesn't feed quite as nicely as my capa setup does but it does enough and they are dinky cheap little mags not the Ares 140's i usually play with.

I have a daft question to ask here.... how do you know what PSI you're getting? Unless you're HPA'ing (is that even a word?) the pistol I hazard to guess?

  3. That's the cheapest I've seen them for a long time.... could be coz the £ is getting stronger again and we should see items get a tad cheaper.... Also I heard from one retailer that they will be getting a large shipment of Marui RIFs in the next 2-3 weeks. This implies all UK retailers will get a restock of these Marui items as they all seem to get imported into the UK at the same time.

  4. I’m not knocking the modest  markup it’s only 250% ;)

Besides, we all know Warrior kit is good. Let’s face it’s the next best thing to Crye in terms of quality and durability.

    Who cares where it’s made.

  5. I confess non of my recoils are standard coz well they are recoils and they are designed to be upgraded let's face it..... Conversely, I've never touched a GBB pistol when it comes to trigger internals and the same with the MWS trigger set as it's  just something I don't feel a need to do as it's not a primary... I must admit I am though curious so I expect I'll end up fiddling with the AAP at some point....  (other than a hop, barrel and H/I key)..

@PimanI do like that trigger though.. I wonder what will look good on a FDE AAP?

OK, so the lower is done. The Cowcow internals and GM trigger are in place.

The trigger is almost a direct fit but a little adjustment was required to allow it to pull back far enough to release the hammer. You can see it has small extra protrusions to limit over-pull after the release.  One possible downside with aftermarket triggers is you do lose the safety.

I Modified the auto sear to match the original.

I also took some pictures of the mods I made to the nozzle. You just need to cut/file the rear profiIe to match the original and trim the side guides by the smallest amount (about 0.5mm) to allow it to slide smoothly in the bolt/BBU.  Just shave a little at a time until it moves freely like the original.

I found that the Cowcow hammer roller caused a very sticky slide so although this picture has the silver Cowcow part this has now been replaced by the original. All fires nice and smoothly now.

That's all impressive, I'd have got my Dremel cutting bit out and probably would have cocked it up lol. That reminds me I need a vice and some new metal files..... anyway, back to my point.... why is there a need to replace the original trigger parts with these 3rd party parts? Durability? Quality? Lockdown boredom? ;)

  7. Roadmap has been unveiled. So it’s either 29th March or 12th April for Airsoft. Again it will depend upon how the sites interpret the new guidance.  And best of all normality to resume by the 21st of June. No earlier. OMG the light is there!!!

  8. It’s not a question of being in a lowest risk group. It’s a question of transmissibility. The virus sadly doesn’t do fair. Even those in a low risk group can carry it and pass it on. We just all have to be a little bit more  patient..  The light at the end of the tunnel is there. The good news is that the vaccines are working and the cases are dropping. The trigger it seems is to get less than a 1000 cases a day. Of course that’s still a 1000 too many but it’s going the right way. Finally we will all be able to breathe again.
