  1. Personally anything Nuprol... sod that! But going back to Abbey predator the MWS can easily take it as the platform is designed to handle more than the duster gas the Japanese use. The only thing to be worried about is the joules creep... especially at temps above 22c. Mine was hitting 360fps at that temperature a while back... so I switched to the abbey green and came down to around 330-340fps.. However as a few others above have said the extra pressures may lead to the weakest part buggering up which in this case is the nozzle spring... Easy fix though.. switch it out to a much stronger Eagle6 spring... also get SixG's HSB buffer to give added protection as you don't want the B buffer part to disintegrate But yeah, Abbey pred is sure as hell fun to use
  2. Give it a go and report back. I’d be interested to see the results. I run a fire fly hop in one of my recoils and it’s simply outstanding. Only drawback is when installing it’s got to be perfect due to the ganglia of the hop. If you have one you’ll know what I mean
  3. Oooooh I've always wondered what prison life was like ?. It's a site which is for sure on my to-do list.... Looks like an epic place to play too...
  4. I totally forgot I still had my AAP-01! On reflection I'll probably not use it.... May just stick it on the classifieds when I get my finger out!.... But I still like the idea of sticking a drum mag on it and being that guy!!! lol Decisions, decisions...
  5. Ran a chrono test on Abbey Green with the @Davegolf SixG HSB installed. Using G&G 0.28s I was getting 287 FPS at a barmy temp of 25/26c. If anyone doesn’t have the HSB installed what the frack are you waiting for. ?
  6. First shot 337fps then going down about 1 fps per shot there after. Stabilised at 327 FPS. Im gonna add Dave’s HSB and that will bump up the FPS by 5fps. So it’s looking very promising. I’ll report back on Sunday when it’s gonna be 26c.
  7. Yes, the Abbey Predator Ultra is green gas but with more accelerant in it to give it extra welly. I forgot how powerful the gas was in sub 20c temperature. The Abbey green bottle gas (144a) shouldn't take it over the joules limit though as you said... I'll take some shots with 144a tomorrow if I have the time and see what the joules output is... It's gonna be circa 23c tomorrow in my neck of the woods so that will be a good measure of what summer gas can do. I won't leave the mag in the sun though as that's surely asking for trouble lol
  8. Bloody hell!! 1.3j on green gas? You sure no one accidentally painted a red can green? What brand of green are you running?
  9. Did a quick lunchtime test using Abbey Predator Ultra gas on 0.28s. Ambient temperature was 22c/23c. Using a fresh mag partly full and shooting off 30 rounds the high was 314fps (1.28 joules and the low 299fps (1.16 joules). For 0.28’s the acceptable power is 295fps. I’ll say it again... the recoil on the MWS is something else! P.S. Disclaimer... No Nuprol bbs were harmed and crushed intentionally under my boots during this time. Why coz I don’t have any ?
  10. My PTW shoots like a bloody laser...It's a 2008 model with full Tac mods and I have 10 genuine EMAGS which Tac replaced the innards with original Systema ones. I cannot fault the platform. It just works each and every time. Ok the followers in the mags are annoying (and can get lost sometimes) but they are needed to operate the bolt stop.... but hey that was cutting edge back in the day. What do I like about it, it's reliable...! There you go I've said it! And best of all I can change the power from 330 to 450fps within a matter of minutes. It's only ever let me down once and that's when the motor packed in and I sent it to Tac to get rewound. Anyway, back to the topic of MWS. This weekend I zero'd the T1 to about 50m. I figured that was the best compromise distance. I was using 0.28's and Abbey Ultra Predator gas. The temperature was about 23c and goodness me the power I was getting from the BCG felt like a missile. The recoil was phenomenal and the range equally impressive. I didn't have a chrono with me so I wasn't sure if it was shooting hot or not but that's besides the point. The MWS can take some serious welly. And you know what? It's fun to use. You get that better immersion that's for sure.
  11. About bloody time too! And yes, we will let you into the pack now.... You know I'm gonna change my mobile number now or better still set up a divert to some Swedish, French, German porn line.. lalalalalalala
  12. Christ! That's actually close to parallax free as you're gonna get... I wonder if it loses it's zero? I hazard to guess probably not... How they get away with it is anyone guess but they sure as heck do... . @rocketdogberthow do you take that video so well? Every time I try on my iPhone I totally balls it up lol
  13. Which currency is he talking about here? ? Bless...
  14. The cerakote is supposed to be quite resilient to scratching... has it been rubbing up against metal (metal on metal) against the mags on your plate carrier for example? Magpul slings will not scratch it as the furniture on them is plastic bar the actual clips...
  15. Get yourself onto the MWS thread here. It’s a hive of knowledge.
  16. I dare not ask what pictures. This is a family forum ?
  17. Just Abbey Ultra. It seems fine. 10c bang. 15c bang. 20c bang. 25c lift off ? Some peeps on here use Nuprol red when it’s stupidly cold but I won’t stick anything Nuprol in my MWS anymore that’s for sure. Don’t forget joule creep though. That may play a wee part.
  18. Don’t forget the batteries ??? And welcome to the club ?? There’s some weird stuff going on that’s for sure
  19. Stick in Abbey Ultra (red can) It’s green gas but has more punch and easily works well in our cold temperatures at the moment. To check your mags just get some cheap green gas and expel any air blockages that’s may be in the magazine. Essentially hold the gas release valve open (in) and stick gas through the magazine until it flows out consistently. That’s just to ensure any blockages are cleared.
  20. The vibrating spring noise is part of the BCG. It’s the spring that’s making the erm spring noise. Mine had it too. More like a knicker elastic twang. ??‍♂️ . The twang is not loud. It’s just there.
  21. HPA? The cheek of it. We don’t talk about such sacrilege to a MWS. Wash your mouth out with whiskey then vodka then rum @GothicGhost ?????
  22. And??? You know you want to....
  23. Your pains are our gains gentlemen.... As I have said previously, the MWS is a great platform to experiment with and the lessons learned help us all
  24. Oh I know them they are up the road from me. Well kinda. They also have a lot of Magpul gear just FYI
  25. Hi Dave The whole lot was £56 delivered of which £14 was postage. It’s still way cheaper than if you bought these items in the UK. On another note, I’m about to order something which may be ITAR controlled. This will be fun
