What sort of FPS do you get with ASG ultra air? temp dependent and all that.

That’s a good idea actually. I’ll give that a go next time I play. All my mags are gen2 and I don’t want to particularly open them up and chop the gas tube if there is no need to. The only other thing I noticed last week was that many people were running Nuprol 3 and I was told they got better performance than running Abbey Ultra Predator. I guess that’s probably coz N3 is proper green gas whereas AUP is 144a on steroids?

I’m just wondering if you cut down the gas tube, even in a MWS mag, would this procedure help you having to vent your mags when filling them up? In case there is an air pocket or something in the mag. Or is there some other knack we can use. Like 5 second bursts and tapping the mag a few times or do you go for a straight 20 second full burst till the gas spills out the valve?

Hey Spartan , is it the VX model ?

So am I right in thinking this pistol takes a VX model Armourers Works drum mag? From what I read on Evike the VX is the glock compatible model. Ergo it should fit the AAP. Right? Do we know if the routers will need changing or is it simply plug and play?

How on earth did you manage to add a MK18 type rail onto an AAP? That’s incredible!! Me likes!!!

I know PTS have one in the pipeline and I expect that will be circa £50 when it’s readily available. Still £150 cheaper than the real version. At the moment the Aimpoint twist mount serves it’s purpose well. In the meantime I’ll keep an eye on the usual suspects to see if used FTC is available.

Yeah I know... then I can get rid of the riser too... but the cost of the Unity FTC is a tad whoopsie

I was watching your AAP-01 video on the tube last night. Very nicely done all 18 odd mins of it I just want to get all the upgrade parts in one go to avoid extra postage costs as I’m aware this pistol could be an unexpected money out as @Skarasays. So other than the hammer set are there any other internal upgrades which are needed. I saw make a rotary hop too. Is that needed or is the stock hop unit good enough. @leadlyyup I saw your post earlier too. The question is AAP or Cow Cow or does it not matter? Ta..

So is this what everyone is using once their hammers break? Is anything else needed as I may as well stick in extras if I’m ordering from JK?

This is my current incarnation. I think I’m pretty much done with it. Not much more I want to change on it unless I break something.

So I was playing at the weekend and the amount of AAP-01's that had carbine kits on and were HPA'd was simply bonkers... needless to say the amount of kills these guys were getting was insane!! I was being out gunned and I was using my MWS which is a beaut but fcuk me the AAP-01's just rocked... I need to get my finger out and sort mine out.... So what do I need fellas? I guess it's a Gen 1 model so what's the first thing I need to get to make sure the innards don't break, melt, become like cheese? Ultimate plan is to use an armoury works drum mag and use Colemans gas? I wanna be that guy lol Damn!!! That just looks totally bonkers!!! Friggin luv it dude!

I second using the smaller pistol loader!! It actually loads the mags much better. I think what it is that it's easier to grip and the plunger mechanism just feels a tad more robust than the XL. I'll use my other XL (the one without the O ring) and see what happens... Otherwise just call me Mr ROD The Magpul grips work well. They are slimmer too so will help with your erm small child like hands

Well new as in only had 100 to 150 bbs in it if that. In fact, loading them all is a chore with the XL speed loader. I really have to push down on the plunger and the loading isn’t smooth in any of them to be honest. Maybe the rod way will help for a few more games.

Update on #maggate So I found my dodgy magazine and tried to load bbs again using the Marui XL loader. Same thing happened. Some bbs got stuck. The Marui XL struggles to load the mags so I thought I’d just use the loading rod that comes with the MWS and voila. No sticking bbs. I mean what the actual fcuk! Maybe I hand technique is a little suspect? ? Anyone else had problems with the Marui XL loader? I’m thinking of taking the O ring out of the bottom of the loader and trying to load the bbs again. See if that works

Yeah possibly. It’s a newish mag though. Time to google how to take one of these mags apart and clean the spring channel.

So, today I took the MWS for a spin. I intended to use 3 RIFS today, the MWS, PTW and a NGRS. I ended up using the MWS for the majority of the day bar the last 1hr where the PTW came out for a spin. Needless to say, I had a lot of fun with the MWS and got some cracking shots... One thing though, one of my mags managed to get BB's stuck in them so they wouldn't feed. Has anyone else experienced this? I had to poke a think Allen key to dislodge the stuck BB's. The strange thing is that this happened twice to that one same mag!! Thoughts hive mind?

Finally managed to pick up a real Unity Fast mount. A big thanks to a fellow forum member for selling it. I have to agree with online reviews, the aiming through the red dot is so much quicker and stops you craning your neck when aiming (if that makes sense ). Downside is that I can’t use my 3x mag as that sits too low!! Nothing that a riser won’t fix though.
