I figured out a holster solution too for the drum mag. A dump pouch ? Airsoftworld have the aap cnc hammer for £20. I’ll add a few other bits to the order once I figure out what extra I need. mind you they are out of stock on many items sadly. A rear rail for a rmr is probably a good idea but it will probably get shot out in cqb anyway so scrap that idea.

Especially if you only have one std mag in the first place ? Now to grab that AAP CNC hammer from Airsoftworld

Yup that's what I have... the Madbull Mk18, the PTS washer and a few shims are needed... When I mean shims it's the lay lax barrel shims.. Oh I had to add some washers on the bolts too... Nylon ones work fine..

Going back to the topic of the MWS green gas mod... Is there any specific length the gas tube should be cut off?

Interesting hop design that.. well for TM I mean... for some reason I was expecting a MWS type hop but I guess the AK mag well is a different form factor in that respect which warrantied a new design? Not that I know anything about AK hop units per se... lol. But only a 200mm barrel? How far is it from the end of the barrel?

You’re absolutely spot on there…. I’m sure it’s gonna be epic out of the box too and probably straight forward to ‘enhance’ if needed. I’m waiting for a mate of mine to get one as I’m curious to give it a go. Haha

What sort of FPS do you get with ASG ultra air? temp dependent and all that.

That’s a good idea actually. I’ll give that a go next time I play. All my mags are gen2 and I don’t want to particularly open them up and chop the gas tube if there is no need to. The only other thing I noticed last week was that many people were running Nuprol 3 and I was told they got better performance than running Abbey Ultra Predator. I guess that’s probably coz N3 is proper green gas whereas AUP is 144a on steroids?

I’m just wondering if you cut down the gas tube, even in a MWS mag, would this procedure help you having to vent your mags when filling them up? In case there is an air pocket or something in the mag. Or is there some other knack we can use. Like 5 second bursts and tapping the mag a few times or do you go for a straight 20 second full burst till the gas spills out the valve?

Hey Spartan , is it the VX model ?

So am I right in thinking this pistol takes a VX model Armourers Works drum mag? From what I read on Evike the VX is the glock compatible model. Ergo it should fit the AAP. Right? Do we know if the routers will need changing or is it simply plug and play?

How on earth did you manage to add a MK18 type rail onto an AAP? That’s incredible!! Me likes!!!

I know PTS have one in the pipeline and I expect that will be circa £50 when it’s readily available. Still £150 cheaper than the real version. At the moment the Aimpoint twist mount serves it’s purpose well. In the meantime I’ll keep an eye on the usual suspects to see if used FTC is available.

Yeah I know... then I can get rid of the riser too... but the cost of the Unity FTC is a tad whoopsie

I was watching your AAP-01 video on the tube last night. Very nicely done all 18 odd mins of it I just want to get all the upgrade parts in one go to avoid extra postage costs as I’m aware this pistol could be an unexpected money out as @Skarasays. So other than the hammer set are there any other internal upgrades which are needed. I saw make a rotary hop too. Is that needed or is the stock hop unit good enough. @leadlyyup I saw your post earlier too. The question is AAP or Cow Cow or does it not matter? Ta..

So is this what everyone is using once their hammers break? Is anything else needed as I may as well stick in extras if I’m ordering from JK?
