that shit goes from meh to hot really fast and it’s very ouchy if you get the timing/heat wrong and I hope the vendor has some really good lawyers and insurance. you have seen that numpteh who used gorilla glue to smooth her hair right ?

Only issue I could see with using fibreglass and covering the mouth/nose area is anything that causes any kind of damage could cause fibre particle breaking off on the inside and in turn the end user inhaling said particle and fibreglass particles/dust is a bad bad thing to inhale. You may want on line the inside with a barrier but that wouldn’t stop any chipping around the air vents...

@Druid799 maybe the guy’s inner barrel was oversized and hanging out the end ? but this isn’t a good thing for us lot overall

Eyepro - Ski-goggle Type or Glasses-type?
MiK replied to Little White Balls's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
When I used to wear contacts back in the day I never fogged up when paintballing but I would always fog up when I just went glasses mode and it would only ever be the glasses themselves which would fog up not the mask. ive tried all manner of shiznit to stop my glasses fogging and it was never that great - lots of smudging/lens glare so I just mounted some 15mm fans in top of my goggles and a quick buzz of them now and then cleared them nicely - they do have a little hum when using but usually it makes people think they have a air leak. Cheap fix but limits you to that set of goggles. -
Whilst I wait on my cotton delivery for my bandoleer, I decided to finish another part started project a full mesh face mask that actually covers my mush properly

I’m sadly gonna be back in the same situation as Op when I finally get back playing - everyone who I used to go with has either sold up/jacked in playing due to one reason or another over lockdowns/losing employment/needing to sell to survive, so I’m gonna be billy-no-mates again but I’ve be here done that before and it ain’t ever stopped me having a laff

£109m on the Euromillions Tonight - What's Your First Airsoft Purchase
MiK replied to rj1986's topic in General Discussion
I would do something similar but I would want to go all nostalgic and recreate some of my original dail-up Beta & 1.X counterstrike days with maps like De_Dust, De_Dust II, De_Train, De_Inferno & as I loved it Cs_Office -
Heheheh @Tacklemight be a idea of asking/getting @proffrink to set up new section/corner “Sewing with @Druid799 & @MiK“ I’m almost done with mine, just need to decide on the back panel - solid or strapping, if I want to put a radio holder on the back shoulder and some place for a patch or two.

Oh, I will add about the UKAPU patches they seem to send out in batches and you might have to chase them up on it on failbook (I don’t have a failbook account that I use so I got the boss to use hers to chase them up ).

Taiwangun Shipping Disruption (Brexit Related Content)
MiK replied to Speedbird_666's topic in General Discussion
they are a scam matey it’s usually for £2.99 or something little and they link to a fake royal mail site you should report them ”Text message Suspicious text messages should be forwarded to 7726. This free-of-charge short code enables your provider to investigate the origin of the text and take action, if found to be malicious.” I usually copy the text you get and then start a new text to 7726 and type in the number it came from and then paste the message in and then copy it all again and hit send it will then ask you to add then number so I just paste the whole message in again - the number 7726 works for all mobile carriers -

beware of those royal mail texts saying your short on postage - it won’t end well -
I would also say that the “two-tone” for non defence sales also needs tightened/looked at - all it takes is another 12yr old being given/getting hold of a pistol and being raided by the police like last year or the lad stopped in Brum a few years back, this will do so much damage to anything that is tried to make Airsoft legit. I’m not pointing fingers at the vendors to be at fault but parents also need educating more at point of sale/be held responsible when they buy their “innocent little angel” a two-tone or allow one to be brought into their household. I am a realist and I know bad things could happen if someone picks up a rif who isn’t meant to but not having a “body” who will speak on our behalf or for the rights of the sport things like everyone has mentioned in this thread or another pandemic and us not being counted as a sport will only keep repeating.
-
No worries matey, glad to have “repped” if it helps us in the long run The patches are kinda nice too & the postage is included in the subs so I doubt they are making much of a profit from them at all.

As I say to my pupils - “dont think it - do it!!”

@AlphaBear You can join UKAPU for nowt ie zero, nothing, nada, zilch but there is a £5/year sub and a £10/year sub (yes, you do get a patch for £5 and get two for £10!) If a £10 a year secures Airsoft’s future from some knee-jerk shitkicking cause some fool has gotten hold of a RIF and got the law involved I think a tenner isn’t that much and imagine if everyone here had a £5 or £10 sub (thats’s like 1 or 2 less grenades/pints/Maccie-Dee’s a year) the amount of funds available to fight/lobby the powers that be in Westminster for the “sport” we all love ?

@Druid799 Talks sense tbh, businesses are there to make money and as much as they say and no matter how friendly they come across now they will always put their business first if it meant not going bust by defending this or that legislation.
-
Let’s hope the site owners also follow the guidelines, as a business myself I feel their pain of not earning but if any do open people will still attend using “if the sites open that means it’s ok” - all it takes is some SJW who doesn’t like the site that opens and calls the police/press and Airsoft will be in a bad light for breaking covid rules.

Three words Tackle that simply sums it up “Bored in Lockdown” Time wise : it isn’t taking that much time actually stitching it but it’s taken a wee while getting amongst it and the plus side of it is that it will actually fit me perfectly with adjustable options. Cost wise: since I bought most of the materials over the whole of lockdown this last year and mostly in “sales” I think I’ve spent like £100-ish on all those materials and I have enough to make another bandoleer or a full plate carrier, a couple of ghillie tops/hoods/gun wraps for my rifles which was the original idea but the reverse bandoleer has kinda taken over my first project
-
Yea, I’m finally getting down to making my reverse bandoleer since most plate carriers don’t fit this chunky monkey that well ;|
-
@Adolf Hamster Stop it!!! Don’t cause me a stressing by talking of aesthetics/taste
-
@TheFull9 Cheers matey, I thought as much but I’ve seen on tinterweb some plate carriers that don’t have a gap between the strips - not counting the laser cut panels - cuts down on the crafting by a third \o/

Just a quick question with regards mollee spacing Do the horizontal always have a equal spec between each of the fixings or can they be stacked up?
