  2. Myself and a few mates made the hour or so drive to try this site out for the first time a few weeks ago. I think @Asomodai has hit the nail on the head with this review, and I agree with what he's said. a very well run site with some excellent buildings. Sounds like we both had a similar day of scenarios, and the CQB area with the warehouse / flag capture was also a highlight for me. I'm a veggie, so didn't partake in the hog roast, but was stunned they had that as an option! Then the ice cream van turned up! Never seen choices like that at a skirmish site. I also felt my age (33) I couldn't believe how childish and 'silly' some of the younger kids were like there, both in game and in the safe zone. Kept muttering STFU already... at many points throughout the day! 😂
  3. Thanks for the replies chaps. For the sake of a little more 'realism' (I appreciate how ironic that is considering these are toys) I think I'd much rather a reliable skirmishable pistol that just works when needed, and doesn't require extra work and more parts... Plus that £200 can go towards something else!
  4. Is the Laylax barrel, deemed a good combination with a TM hob rubber, and the SixG brass nub? Looking to just increase the fps a little from the 250mm barrel!
  5. As title really chaps! Just wanted any information or first hand experience with these slides? I have read a lot of mixed information about replacing the plastic slide for metal. I appreciate there's the obvious issue of increased cool down during winter etc. I was more concerned with fitment issues, now I know this would vary from slide to slide. However I want to know whether it's a case of just swapping the slide over and your good to go? Or do other parts require replacing to work alongside the now heavier slide? If its not a case of 'plug and play' then I think I'll forget the added realism of a metal slide for the sake of better all round performance! Slide in question is the new Detonator slide for the TM Glock 17 Gen 4 http://impulse101.jp/en/slides/detonator-glock17-gen4-custom-slide-for-tokyo-marui-glock17-gen4-gbb-5084
  6. You just can't help buying weird shit, can you!? 😂
  7. First game out with the MWS/Mini Urgi build, and what can say about this truly fantastic RIF that every other owner hasn't already said!? Apart from the fact it's all bloody true! 😁 I should of moved over to a GBBR a long time ago, and anyone on the fence reading this thread I urge you to take the plunge! The performance and consistency is incredible, and with a zero'd Vortex Crossfire it's so much fun to use. Taking out a guy who's using a HPA minigun, with a single shot is extremely satisfying... 😂 (skirmish fun times)
  8. The five seven is made out of cheese though... 😂
  9. Heading over to Dogtag Airsoft tomorrow, and cannot wait to use the MWS for the first time!

Anyone else there tomorrow? Looks like a good site, one that I've been meaning to try for a while.

  10. Well my MK18 NGRS has had pretty much all the stock internals replaced with all the cliche gucci parts that everyone says you need... (believe me you don't) Compared to the single tiny piece of brass that's been fitted to my MWS! Don't get me wrong the NGRS performs excellently and has served me very well. I bought it to get a little more 'realism' over my old VFC 416A5, features like 'recoil' and a functional bolt catch really was the icing on the cake for a platform I knew well. (AEG's) But comparing it to an MWS it might as well be another electric sewing machine! The recoil is negligible when compared with a GBBR and functions like the bolt catch are nowhere near as tactile on the MWS! Using the MWS is such a satisfying experience, I knew it would as my TM MP7 GBB was always grin inducing! I've only plinked with mine so far, but using it for a game next Sunday I cannot wait. My NGRS won't be going anywhere as it's a very good rifle, but I can already tell that it will be spending most of it's life inside a Pelicase... 😂 Just waiting for a couple more bits to arrive for the MWS in question and I'll take some photos for you lovely lot! 😁
  11. I fitted the brass nub yesterday and set the hop for 0.32g's and it shoots like a dream! I'm using Geoff's Bio's which I know people have had problems with, but seem to work very well in mine with several mags feeding flawlessly! Never had any issues with the same brand in my TM GBB MP7 either. I can't belive how well these things shoot, both the range and the consistency is very impressive. The only internal mod I've done like I said is the brass nub. Will look into a prometheus barrel at a later date just to boost the FPS a little...
  12. Lazy TM... So just a MWS body with another Madbull MK18 rail. They're a little late to the party as there's plenty of MWS owners who've already built their own MK18! Don't get me wrong I love a MK18, but would of loved for something else to have been given the GBBR treatment. That bloke's haircut is something else though! 😂
  13. Tried fitting the Magpul extended mag release yesterday to no avail... The threads on the TM catch are obviously different, and wouldn't go on. I'm pretty sure I have seen photos of guys with these fitted however. Is it a case of using a genuine mag release catch?
  14. Looks awesome mate! My own 9.3" URGI is nearly complete albeit an all black version. Got a stack of parts to fit onto my CQBR, just waiting on the HAO Industries URGI rail which should be arriving this week... Bar a few accessories etc it's nearly there! Will post up some photos once the rail has been fitted. 👍
  15. That green looks great! I think the FNX's magazine bases would look good in the green also.
  16. I think your right bud, I had another little play on my lunch break today at work, and the mag will seat perfectly if you give it a bloody firm push when its inserted, and again it will release just fine when the mag is pulled slighy towards yourself when the release button is pressed. I can only put it down to very tight tolerances, and even after a few mag changes today its already improved dramatically. I'm sure with time and a few games under its belt it will loosen up a little! 👍
  17. Managed to get down to some private land on the farm where I work and have a little play with the MWS yesterday. I'm blown away by the stock performance with 0.28's! Will eventually fit the brass nub and see what its like with heavier ammo soon. However I have got a little issue with it... The mag release with no mag inserted operates freely just like any other M4 rif I have used. Weirdly though when a mag is inserted the locking tab/bar on the opposite side of the mag release button doesn't fully engage when a mag is inserted, you can get two shots off before the mag drops down and doesent engage. You have to push it into the receiver to lock the mag in place, and its pretty stiff. Then to release the mag the button itself is also very stiff to press, would he very tricky to do in the middle of a game! Any ideas? Not sure where to start and I don't want to make anything worse!
  18. Every time Lad Bible post's one of his crappy videos on Facebook, I cringe... Then I read the comments and another part of me dies inside!
  19. Finally a paid up member of the fine MWS club! This beauty arrived today, and now the real fun begins, turning this CQBR into a URGI style 10.3" build!
  20. This advert is COMPLETED!

  21. This is my German barge! Perfect for lugging pelicase's and all my gear to game sites, and bloody comfortable on the drive back at the end of the day. 👍 It's the most sensible car I've ever bought and without a doubt one of the best.
  22. Patrol Base has stock of MWS mags guys! Just ordered some, and thought I'd give a heads up if anyone else needed any? https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/tokyo-marui-m4a1-mws-zet-35rnd-gas-magazine
  23. My wife found the invoice for my TM MK46... She couldn't quite believe the cost for what as we all know is a bloody toy gun! What followed was a very intense conversation, where I came clean about my entire collection's value including all my Crye gear etc. Explaining why my combat trousers were north of £250 was also a fun subject! 😂 Long story short, we're still married and supports me with my crazy hobby! I'm probably one of the few married blokes in the UK that has a wife that actually knows the real cost of airsoft and all the crap that goes along with it! 😁
  24. I can't stand adverts with just one photo. I will always try and upload a few to give a good idea of the condition of whatever I'm I'm selling. Let alone a gun for 1k... 😂
  25. Quick question chaps, Does the MWS accept real steel sling plates? Was looking at getting a Magpul QD ambi sling point/plate or similar.
