Delivery today for me also @Wild Weasel Firstly a HAO Geissele BCG which is a very well machined piece of aluminium. The colour is lighter than the tan HAO use for their rails but it's close match to the shade used for the real Geissele BCG. Hoping to get it fitted on Monday and will report back. Secondly my Magpul M-Lok QD mount arrived for my SL-K stock, not very exciting but it's pretty much the final piece for my 9.3" URGI build! Next year I'm definitely picking up a second MWS with the plan to build a 14.5" rifle as I've really enjoyed working on this one!
-
Is it used to keep all the fan girls at bay, when they see you're rocking an MWS in the safe zone? Meaning you are indeed a fully paid up member of the GBBR master race!? ?
-
I intend on using the TM nozzle and only have experience with that part. ATRG's review also uses the stock nozzle and he seemed impressed. https://atrg.blog/2020/10/19/accessory-review-hao-geissele-rebcg-ecoline-for-marui-zet-mws-gbbr/ Thats good to know mate, I will certainly check that out! My dbal-a2 is red laser, ir laser, and white light, all functions appear to be working correctly. I will put up my thoughts when the HAO bolt arrives and see how it gets on with the G&P buffer. ?

Update on my URGI build... The genuine Magpul SL-K stock arrived from Brownells. Bought a clone Unity Tactical Mount, which although it looks pretty awkward having an optic mounted that high up IMO. However it works perfectly and having the optic mounted at this height is extremely comfortable! I also picked up a WADSN DBAL-A2 and a dual pressure switch to work alongside my M300 light. It's a snug fit but I managed to get everything on the rail where I wanted it. This DBAL-A2 is the polymer one which initially put me off, but it's much cheaper than the G&P version of which I've had two in the past and although they get rave reviews I was never that impressed with them. Secondly if I was that bothered with polymer over metal I'd never buy a TM pistol! ? Overall I'm really impressed with it and after putting quite a few bb's through the MWS zeroing the crossfire on it's new mounted, the DBAL-A2 seemed to gold its own zero. I will update this after a few games, but what with the new lockdown I doubt that will be for a while! After a recommendation from a mate I ordered a G&P aluminium buffer, this comes with three weights which you can add or remove as required. Again when I get chance I will record the various weights and compare them with the stock buffer. A couple of UAC sealing buffers to add to my spares list, currently trying to pick up a spare TM nozzle but looks like stock is zero everywhere! Lastly I've got a HAO Industries lightweight BCG on order after a very positive review from ATRG's blog. Will get that fitted with the G&P buffer and give my review also. Here's a few photo's, sorry for the crappy kitchen floor backdrop, it's howling outside and the best I could do on a Sunday morning!

Can't comment on the AA nozzle, but my TM one has a very good seal with plenty of resistance before it follows the BCG. Read recommendations from people to thread lock the adjusting screw on the AA nozzle as it has a habit of firing it down the barrel! ?

I fitted one of these bud. http://www.wiitech.com.hk/product-detail.shtml?product_id=479&path=57_145 It's a clone of the Magpul design and I can confirm it was a direct fit with no other work needed. ?

I personally use Geoff's 0.32g's And had no issues whatsoever with white or tracer bb's both regular and bio! ?
-
Ah I totally agree with you there. I'm under no illusion that my Crye G3's offer me any better concealment than a set of surplus mtp! It all comes down to what we all personally want to get out of our hobby I guess. Agree with you also bud. Coming back to the whole hindsight thing my TM MK18 NGRS had all of its guts ripped out and replaced with the prommy back catalogue. Don't get me wrong it performed exceptionally, but was it worth it? And was the step up in performance that much higher than stock? No I personally don't think so, and I wouldn't do it again as I'm now a GBBR snob... However its the people that get their guns 'fully upgraded' without even using them stock that are the real mugs! Sorry for derailing this thread mods, I'll shut up now... ?
-
That's fair enough, although there's plenty of 'wallys' playing airsoft regardless how much they've spent on their kit! ? Hindsight is wonderful thing, but I'm sure we've all been there and spent ex amount on something thinking that you've now managed to reinvent the wheel with your new 'upgrade' I've been playing long enough to know that an 'upgrade' isn't necessarily better than the stock part it replaces! Let people make these mistakes and hopefully they'll learn from it, even if they didn't have the common sense to research a little information on this forum! (People just want to be spoon fed these days and expect an immediate answer via Facebook) - but thats a rant for another time...

I don't see why people have a problem (not suggesting you have) with others spending their hard earned cash on their chosen hobby. Whether that's fitting lots of accessories onto a rifle or wearing crye, and everything that goes with it... It seems totally fine to shame/mock others for spending what certain people regard is 'too much money' However if I or any of the other 'crye,tm,ngrs, mws' users started ripping into somebody for their shitty budget aeg and viper gear, I'd be an arrogant bastard! It works both ways as far as I'm concerned. I couldn't care less how somebody enjoys their hobby. Whether its in a pair of jeans and a hoody with a cyma or fully decked out in crye and a das 416... Providing you take your hits and aren't a dick you're fine by me.

'TM users' You mean fellow airsofters that just use a different platform than yourself?
-
That's good to hear, thank you. I think I will pick up those two together and see how I fair. I'd imagine with both the AG carrier, and the high speed buffer there's barely any recoil!? Seems to be people on both sides of the fence when it comes to experience of this kit, but I'm willing to give it a go myself. I'd much rather have a separate complete carrier than start mucking about the the TM unit.
-
Anyone running an Angry Gun complete high speed bolt carrier with MPA nozzle? With lower ambient temperatures fast approaching I was wondering whether a lighter bolt carrier would help me with my intention of using my MWS in every season! Or is my money better spent elsewhere? Any help/advice would be appreciated. ?
-
Thanks bud! You should be excited, and I honestly think you'll be extremely happy with your purchase. It's tricky to compare it AEG's and providing you change your mindset/playstyle with the MWS you won't be disappointed.

Here's an update on how my URGI build currently stands. TM MWS CQBR - Base HAO Industries MK16 Rail Z-Parts URGI-1 Airborne Charging Handle Z-Parts Daniel Defence 10.3" Outer Barrel Magpul K2 Pistol Grip Magpul ASAP QD Rear Sling Plate Magpul M-Lok Hand Stop Magpul Magazine Pulls Magpul Clone MOE SL-K Stock (waiting for genuine to restock) HAO Industries Geissele T1 mount Vortex Optics Crossfire Surefire Clone M300B Weapon Light Arisaka Clone M-Lok Weapon Light Mount Wiitech Trigger Guard Ergo Gapper Angry Gun 4 Prong Surefire Flash Hider Angry Gun Surefire Suppressor Angry Gun Maritime Bolt Stop PTS Griffin Armament BUIS Ferro Concepts Slingster - Multicam Black Ferro Concepts QD Sling Swivels TacbeltsUK Suppressor cover - Multicam Black SixG Brass Hop Nub It is without a doubt the best gun I have ever had the pleasure of owning and I now have no interest in anything other than GBBR's ? Performance is incredible, and other than the brass nub i have no intentions of changing any other internal parts. On a rather warm day a couple of weeks ago it chrono'd at around 260fps using 0.32g and Abbey Predator Ultra gas, which is fairly close to the limit so I'm glad I didn't go for a tight bore inner barrel! Apart from sourcing a Genuine Magpul Stock, Unity Tactical Mount and maybe an IR laser / torch I really don't think it needs anything else other than feeding with gas and bb's! Would genuinely consider buying another M4 MWS in the future to build a longer rifle or maybe wait out and see how TM's AKM MWS gets on, who knows!? Although I do keep looking at GHK 553's... Anyway heres a few photos of my URGI!

Another great day yesterday out with my MWS URGI at Gloucester prison. Two mag related issues however... Firstly a mag developed a fault where the bb follower/spring became caught internally and wouldn't allow the bb's to sit against the feed lips under pressure. It's the second time this has happened to me, unsure whether it's the same mag but will insure to number them discreetly to monitor. Fairly easy to fix but I wasn't sure whether anyone else has had this issue? Second fault was just me being an absolute donkey! On the way back into the safe zone, unloading the mag it slipped out of my hand and promptly hit concrete feed lips first shattering themselves completely and sending bb's everywhere! A quick order via impulse 101 and I have a few spares on their way to get that mag operational!

Is the Laylax barrel, deemed a good combination with a TM hob rubber, and the SixG brass nub? Looking to just increase the fps a little from the 250mm barrel!

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
RMDavis replied to Cameron364's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
You just can't help buying weird shit, can you!? ? -
First game out with the MWS/Mini Urgi build, and what can say about this truly fantastic RIF that every other owner hasn't already said!? Apart from the fact it's all bloody true! ? I should of moved over to a GBBR a long time ago, and anyone on the fence reading this thread I urge you to take the plunge! The performance and consistency is incredible, and with a zero'd Vortex Crossfire it's so much fun to use. Taking out a guy who's using a HPA minigun, with a single shot is extremely satisfying... ? (skirmish fun times)

Heading over to Dogtag Airsoft tomorrow, and cannot wait to use the MWS for the first time!
Anyone else there tomorrow? Looks like a good site, one that I've been meaning to try for a while.

Well my MK18 NGRS has had pretty much all the stock internals replaced with all the cliche gucci parts that everyone says you need... (believe me you don't) Compared to the single tiny piece of brass that's been fitted to my MWS! Don't get me wrong the NGRS performs excellently and has served me very well. I bought it to get a little more 'realism' over my old VFC 416A5, features like 'recoil' and a functional bolt catch really was the icing on the cake for a platform I knew well. (AEG's) But comparing it to an MWS it might as well be another electric sewing machine! The recoil is negligible when compared with a GBBR and functions like the bolt catch are nowhere near as tactile on the MWS! Using the MWS is such a satisfying experience, I knew it would as my TM MP7 GBB was always grin inducing! I've only plinked with mine so far, but using it for a game next Sunday I cannot wait. My NGRS won't be going anywhere as it's a very good rifle, but I can already tell that it will be spending most of it's life inside a Pelicase... ? Just waiting for a couple more bits to arrive for the MWS in question and I'll take some photos for you lovely lot! ?
-
I fitted the brass nub yesterday and set the hop for 0.32g's and it shoots like a dream! I'm using Geoff's Bio's which I know people have had problems with, but seem to work very well in mine with several mags feeding flawlessly! Never had any issues with the same brand in my TM GBB MP7 either. I can't belive how well these things shoot, both the range and the consistency is very impressive. The only internal mod I've done like I said is the brass nub. Will look into a prometheus barrel at a later date just to boost the FPS a little...
-
Tried fitting the Magpul extended mag release yesterday to no avail... The threads on the TM catch are obviously different, and wouldn't go on. I'm pretty sure I have seen photos of guys with these fitted however. Is it a case of using a genuine mag release catch?
-
Looks awesome mate! My own 9.3" URGI is nearly complete albeit an all black version. Got a stack of parts to fit onto my CQBR, just waiting on the HAO Industries URGI rail which should be arriving this week... Bar a few accessories etc it's nearly there! Will post up some photos once the rail has been fitted. ?

That green looks great! I think the FNX's magazine bases would look good in the green also.
