i must admit i too find the mostly apolitical nature of this place rather endearing.

I ordered my rifle from them just before Christmas, great service and delivery times. Ive been chatting to him on and off since then, decent guy and very helpful.

If you ever have a problem with a springer shotgun, just throw it in the bin. Your time and sanity is worth more than the gun. It's like a plastic onion where every layer is user hatred.

This advert in the Airsoft section of Freeads tickled me.
Not just the price (which if it's genuinely worth, I wish I'd kept my shitty '90 pattern webbing...), but also the fact that it comes with 'Molly poachers'

Is this a bit controversial?
Special forces infiltration loadout & my inspiration
Not too practical though, and likely to result in friendly fire 🤣

These days I'm rocking a US Army UCP Digital Camouflage loadout.
I fancied something different and wasn't bothered by having camouflage that's basically useless, so I figured I'd wear the US Army's $5Billion mistake.
I stand out like a sore thumb, but I love the look. Haters gonna hate though, eh?
The loadout comprises:
US Army ACH Helmet, Issued UCP camouflage Cover and Revision Wolfspider Goggles US Army Interceptor OTV protective vest system US Army issue wicking combat shirt US Army issue ACU combat trousers US Army issue knee pads Lowa desert combat boots Mechanix M-Pact gloves
The camouflage actually does work quite well against the concrete buildings at my local site, but in grass I may as well wear luminous orange...
I'd say the key positive of the loadout is that the US Army put a lot of time, money and effort into making the kit comfortable. So despite the weight of the kit, it feels great to wear and isn't crazy warm either.
The sniper in the photos is my Ares Amoeba Striker AS01.

that was exactly the thought that just went through my head... dodgey is an understatement... it pretty much reeks
actually you're right. I didn't spot that, I still don't understand why they have done that though...

My new toy just arrived...
A Cybergun FAMAS Evo, which I plan to completely gut and upgrade.
My first AEG back in the very early 2000s was a TM Famas, so I'm a bit nostalgic when it comes to these.
I was toying on getting a TM instead, but the CG model doesn't have the stupid V.1 gearbox parts that the TM does. Instead it uses a combination of V.3 and V.7 parts, making upgrading it much easier.
Initial thoughts:
It has a lovely feel to it. Much more sturdy, no creaks (unlike the TM I had all those years ago...) and surprisingly weighty for a polymer body.
Once the work gets underway, I'll post up an upgrade thread for anyone that's interested.

That's pretty much the reason why I bought it for her. Because it means I can wander round in a Hawaiian shirt with plastic dinosaurs calling myself Wash. 😁
