I've got the VFC / Umarex one , and it's bloody great. Full size unlike the TM, shoots really well, lots of range and decent accuracy. Very distinctive 'crack' too when it fires. I run it regularly and never feel out gunned or dissapointed in it.

Hole drilled and tapped for a M3 bolt M3 screw/bolt fitted . It's about a 5mm long one from my R/C spares box. I've drilled the mag well so that the bolt presses down on the mag catch pretty much right over the 'wedge' that secures the mag. And belt feed tray cliped back down. Completely hides the mod, I don't bother to bolt the tray back down and never had an issue. I'm sure something else could be tried, but this works on mine, was quick and easy to do and importantly doesn't show . Just put the box mag block in, pop the bolt in and screw down untill it's starting to go tight, doesn't need to be over tightened which just risks stripping the thread. Only needs to prevent the mag catch from moving .

Playing at Survival combat games in North Devon , my usual site. I'll grab a picture of the mod after the rugby. It cant be seen once the feed plate is back down.

Yep, my belt is still longer than the VFC one by a roundor two. She'll be getting another outing on Sunday 😁

Spent a while fettling the fit of the box mag today. Shortened the air line more and filed out a slot for it on the top of the mag. Nicer fit and the bullet belt is much easier to fit now too. Also removed one round from the belt as it was a bit too long. Mine is made up of deac rounds with the top one from the vfc belt so it fits the 'wiggler'

If its WE compatable, Socom tactical have steel replacements in stock https://www.socomtactical.net/zci-steel-hi-capa-replacement-external-hammer-black/ Fitted one of these to my Army Armament JW3 when the skeleton hammer broke,

Mine came loose even without the fake rounds . But I suspect the recoil shakes the catch just enough to release it. A stronger spring on the catch may solve the issue.

Exactly what mine has done from day 1, The stanag is very secure , but the box mag connector has always popped out. I've dealt with it by drilling and tapping a hole under the feed plate for an M3 bolt. This presses down on the mag catch and secures it. Not had the issue since. Not having the feed tray bolted down hasn't caused any issues.

I'd certainly be interested in one for the GBBR Pulse rifle build

Fun day again today. Only about 40 players , so tactical play was on. Both teams fought very hard, we were 3-0 up when I left, but that was I think down to us working ever so slightly better as a team. Each game was very close. Ran Gas all day, the WE based L119 A2 performed as well as ever, amate used my MP7 and had a blast with it, and the M249 was just so much fun, the noise alone keeps heads down 😂 I left half way through game 4 so I could get home to watch the rugby.

God these things are so much fun to game ! Ran mine today , mags filled to 120 using .30's . Despite it being 'chilly' this morning , it had no issues at all . Got some great kills with it, funniest thing though was watching players run away when you open up 😂 One chap came and found me after the game and sain 'bloody hell that thing sounds terifying' The para stock was a definite improvement in the woods running it short . Love this beast !

Bought this for my Marui Mk 18 GBB Mag, but it’s to big.

Says 7.62 on it, you probably need 5.56 STANAG size ones . Something like these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Boosteady-Assist-Magazine-Protector,Pack-Protector/dp/B09D825BFX/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3QCH3YFHV03XA&keywords=airsoft+magpul&qid=1697300969&sprefix=airsoft+mag+pull%2Caps%2C103&sr=8-1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Magpul-5-56-M16-Pull-tabs/dp/B00BUPZIDS/ref=sr_1_3?crid=14SGWY2TTEZRO&keywords=airsoft+mag+pulls&qid=1697301009&sprefix=airsoft+mag+p%2Caps%2C95&sr=8-3 -
I'm thinking the same, I would considder hpa, but the bottle would have to fit in a box mag, Cant be doing with the whole ghostbusters look.

I'm running .30's in my VFC 249 now, hops them easily. Tracer wise I use Geoffs bio ones in a .30 in all my GBBRs GEOFFS™ NATURAL PRECISION™ BIO AIRSOFT BBS BB AMMO 6MM PELLETS VSR SNIPER TRACER | eBay

M/L bucking, I key and hop wheel in my WE G18 ( and in pretty much all my pistols ) along with a crazy jet barrel. Makes a huge difference.

Wash your mouth out ! 🤣

That's a handy video. well spotted

I aim to play at least once a month, but often manage twice a month through the spring / summer. Makes up for the winter when I may skip a game because of work or because cold, wet , muddy conditions aren't as much fun as they used to be 🤣

I would imagine the tax bit relates to the fact they are going to ask you to pay duty and vat on it. Unless the retailer is registered to collect UK taxes on behalf of HMRC The fact the adress differs from your UKARA might not help either tbh, especially as it's a business address . Do the courier have a contact number you can phone ?

Is it a TM ? if so I would imagine that mws mags would fit giving you more capacity.

Bit of a mixed day yesterday. Organised one of my themed game days, cold war romp set in East Germany. All ended up a bit one sided as one team was definitly working better . The weather was truly vile but 70 odd still turned out . One or two frayed tempers later in the day, a combination I think of frustration from one team and the weather. A couple of lessons learned for when I do another. Organising and marshalling games gives you a very different perspective on our hobby , makes you realise how thankless the marshall's job often is. Herding cats is so much easier than trying to organise your average bunch of airsofters !😂

Sounds like the hammer spring if it's alowing the hammer to bounce.
-
Mine runs a maple leaf crazy jet barrel and M/L rubber. Cant remember off the top of my head if I also fitted an I key to it. Performs very well.
-
Yep I'm sure. As above , did you have a magwell fitted ? was it definitly a 17/18 mag ? G19 mags are shorter .
-
All WE G17 / G18 mags will fit . I have no experience of the polymer mags they are doing now, they should fit I just prefer metal mags.
