  1. Don’t worry about the last message. I found a ZCI 550mm 6.02 Stainless Steel Barrel from the states for £19 🤣 couldn’t say no to that.
  2. Has anyone heard about these barrels? https://www.onlyairsoft.com/product/laylax-prometheus-eg-barrel-for-m14-excl/ im trying to keep to the 500mm area as the stock one is 570mm on mine. I found these barrels
  3. Ahah yes I do have some spare, I believe you recommend these in particular before. I’ve got the tan ones, 60 degrees I believe. I’ve decided just to keep the stock barrel. I’m having a hard time finding a decent M14 barrel long enough. Lots available for the socom but I like my long barrel. I’ve read the stock cyma is a 6.04 which isn’t too bad. I’ve yet to confirm this though. so you haven’t had to chop any of your hop ups down then?
  4. I’m making a DMR on a budget. And I know even though it’s on a budget it still isn’t cheap. I’ve chose a CYMA M14 CM032 (Long) and I've read they have really good accuracy out the box. The hop up bucking that comes with the gun seems to be able to handle 0.43g bbs which I will be using on game days. I’m competent working on my airsoft guns however what I do lack is knowledge of different brands and makes of stuff and in particular compatibility. As for most DMR builds the bucking is usually first to be swapped out but could anyone tell me what would be a better bucking over the original that can hop 0.43g bbs at around 306fps. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the M14 takes a different bucking to V2 hop ups? I could be entirely wrong. Or would the normal stock CYMA bucking would suffice? I just don’t know the difference between all these brands and what’s compatible with what, that’s what gets me. ALSO- I read M14 Cylinder’s are one or two MM longer than normal cylinders? Are they the same internal diameter as normal cylinders? Could I leave the stock CYMA cylinder in the gun and just upgrade the piston, piston head, cylinder head and nozzle? Any additional information would be much appreciated. Thank you and a happy new year, J.
  5. Hiya how did it feed in the end. I read the O ring nozzles are for TM M14s and the CYMA takes slightly different nozzles. I read it requires removing some material off the sides to fit in the gearbox and still move? Apart from that’s bit, more importantly; does it feed ok? Is it not too long or short? Thank you, J I got mine new from Airsoftworld last week. They claimed 340fps 🙄. Out the box with 0.2g bbs and hop up adjusted to get the highest fps- the best it could muster was 290 fps. re greased the piston and put a M140 spring in it and I was getting 460-470 fps with 0.2g With 0.43g bbs I’m getting 260fps which has done some sort of reversal joule creep? My site allows DMRs with 0.43g to shoot 306 fps. I was hoping to find a decent tight bore to bring the fps up to 300+ but it’s so hard finding one for the long m14. I’ll be looking at doing the piston and nozzle. Do you recon I could use the stock cyma cylinder that it came and be fine? I heard the m14 cylinders are a mm or two longer than normal aeg cylinders. Thank you, J.

    Cyma Ak47 Stock

I will try this. The AK was intended to be a back up gun to my VFC M27 (416). But today I couldn’t use the HK M27 so I used the cyma ak. the M27 hop up is far too tight. Even when the hop is on the lowest setting the gun over hops and misfires and two bbs come out on the next shot, and when the hop up is on full it just jams and won’t feed. Do you recommend a hop up for this gun also?

It turns out the hop up was on full. When off it runs 335 so that was one of the issues. Thank you

So to get a better seal I put some molly grease in the cylinder and around the piston o ring. I’m getting a consistent 290fps. I’d like it to be a bit higher. The compression felt good when I applied the grease. I wasn’t comfortable skirmishing with 215fps but maybe I might give this gun a game Sunday. does anyone have any ideas what to do next? Maybe a new hop up bucking? thank you guys. I wouldn’t be at this stage without you. I’ve learnt a lot about my gun now and I feel a lot more confident

I messed around with the motor adjuster screw and it seems ok

    Cyma Ak47 Stock

all the information has been really helpful. I’ve taken everything apart and cleaned and relubed it and I feel comfortable doing it again. I have one issue and it’s when I do put the pistol grip. If I do it up so the screw is secured the motor locks up. This might not be the motor but the gun does seize up.

Piston o ring seems baggy. Is this normal and nozzle has ptfe tape over the o ring?? Any expert comments on this and will this be the cause of low 200fps? thank you. ...also, is this a mosfet?

So can it be a bit trial and error finding spares and replacements?

    Cyma Ak47 Stock

I’ve come from airguns and firearms and I’ve found airsoft is completely different to both. I need to be able to understand what gun takes what parts and what parts with fit my guns as I assume they’re not all compatible
