  1. Even as a tester try without a mosfet to see if that really is the issue. Its why i tend to reccommend nanasr for basic mosfet duties.
  2. Hence the quotation marks around "acquired" Feel for the op if he's being genuine with what he's saying, but this is the kind of thing i'd do if i was the kind of person to use alts.
  3. doubt, you ain't getting remotely near that on any hardware that's kosher for irish fps limits. not gonna lie, my initial suspicion was someone "acquired" some airsoft kit and wanted to see if it was worth anything, now i'm 50/50 between a kid or a troll.
  4. just need to get @Rogerborg back now.
  5. nope, it's supposed to prevent overspin, but you need a fast setup for that to be a problem.
  6. Guess it depends on the scenario but the theme with most post apocalyptic stuff is keeping something operational with limited to no manufacturer spares and stacking repairs on top of repairs because you havent a hope of replacing it.
  7. What exactly are you asking here? Because that's as unanswerable as me saying "i have a computer is it any good?"
  8. mp5? opens up the backstory to police armouries as well as military.
  9. Been years since i played it cant remember what the controls were like.
  10. Imma place a bet that it's the active brake stopping the cycling too soon.
  11. a man that can make a revolver look like a submachine gun
  12. funny that's exactly what i got it for initially ended up using it 90% of the time and very rarely using the actual scope.
  13. i think a lot of it is based on the reports from the likes of negative airsoft. tbh my sum total experience with specna is seeing one of their very early models in the local brick and mortar and was quite impressed at the exterior quality, but afaik that's not the problem so much as the internals being a bit more sketchy. of course as with all brands you have your monday morning guns, your middle of the week guns and your 5-minutes to closing on friday guns. for example as much as the humble cyma ak is espoused as the immortal gat with it's legendary reliability proven by the number of beaten to crap rental gats that still somehow shoot, i've also seen them strip pistons within half an hour of coming out the box.....
  14. it's not a field i'm particularly well versed in, but i've had one of these for a while: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Canis-Picatinny-Shooting-Hunting-(Black)/dp/B07V1LWL1M/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=canis+latrans+3+moa&qid=1613492056&sr=8-1 and it's been pretty decent in terms of clarity/parralax, and you can lock down the adjustments so it holds zero. not sure on the mounting but it looks very similar to the rmr type (2 screws holding it to the base)
  15. still can't get around how a jg gearbox is smoother running than an lct......
  16. teching is something i do advocate learning, even nominally high end guns aren't always perfect out of the box and the ability to fix stuff yourself always proves to be a boon when say buying secondhand. nobody starts out good, best (indeed probably only) way to learn the ways of the tinkerer is to constantly fuck up until you get it right
  17. it's cool, that other thread doesn't get much traffic often ends up hidden a couple pages back. tbh i've only ever had 2 optics get shot out and only one irreperably, was interesting playing out the day on irons lol. but each to their own, must admit that's some fine 3-d printing as the standards of these things go.
  18. iirc we have a thread for making stuff if you wanna go there specifically. that looks pretty good, and that's coming from someone who abhors lens protectors so much i refuse to use them on anything no matter how cheap or expensive the optic is.
  19. little acheivement get sign. although cue the spamming of the classifieds with overpriced stuff just to get the badge
  20. kinda depends, things change over time after all. heard pretty good things about the cyma platinum range for nice starter m4's although i don't exactly pay too much attention to the state of ar's these days.
  21. hey it's cool. this thread works both ways and you've been thoroughly vindicated. probably a limited market as you say but we got all sorts on here.
  22. kind of agree with that, nothing like being able to hold the thing in your hands and get that "ooh shiny" vibe to pull you over that hill of spending a lot of money to start up a hobby. i mean i'd been airsofting a good decade before i started buying gats online, up until that point it was impulse buys at the brick and mortar and secondhand.
  23. the issue with being seen is when someone sees a guy with a gun and decides to call the police just to be sure, especially given *most* airsoft guns don't look the part of hunting shotgun. when it's a real gun you're gonna have your papers with you and permission from the landowner to deal with any awkward questions. whilst the police seem to have a pretty good grasp of the whole concept of airsoft you might still get that one jobsworth. i've shot plenty on private land but always made sure nothing's visible.
  24. i'll take your word for it, the subclassifications of feckery are not a subject in which i've done sufficient background research.
  25. Lozart's original guidance in the appraisals thread to the seller was for a £1400 rrp and 8-900 secondhand, seems the seller went for the lower end of that bracket. i assume someone with the cash and desire for such a thing probably has a good idea wether or not it's worth it (at least i'd hope anyone dropping that kind of cash on a rig has done some research)
