Thing is, out of 12 orders, only one is Airsoft related, the rest is for my 4x4...

Yeah I'm fully aware of the "peculiarities" of Discos  I want a TD5, V8 is way too expensive to run and maintain at this time.

 

Saw the 4.5k one today, it's been heavily neglected and the owner doesn't even know half of the systems the car has...

Didn't know what ACE was, he replaced the SLS air bags for random springs, the engine runs smooth but sounds like the drive belt is done for (even though the Td5 runs on two chains), transfer box was caked in oil, dirt and shit..

It leaked from the sunroofs, electric windows were busted and the airbag (SRS) too.

It felt like I needed to spend another 3 to 4k to make it safely run on tarmac, and THEN mod it for offroading for another idk, 3/4k..

 

Found two more, about € 9 to 9.5k, in much, much better shape:

 

9.5k€ - 263.000kms - ARB twin air lockers (mechanical CDL), Remapped NNN ECU, 3.5" lift (2" suspension, 1.5" body), winch, HD bars and a bunch of other stuff done

 

9k - 200.000kms but the engine only has 50k - CDL, 2" lift and other stuff done..

 

Both within a 1.5h drive from me...

I'm replacing a broken and exhausted Suzuki Swift, and yes I still have my Fiesta that I will never sell until it's deaded beyond any chance of repair..  

There are quite a few in my town, most of them are RRS, evoques, disco 5s, one new defender, one Velar and a few old Defs and disco IIs..

 

They're seen more as a status indicator more than offroaders, but yeah we do have them

 

I do know about the issues and I also know that most of them are easy fixes that one can do in his garage without special equipment, that's why I want one.

A bit far from me there is like a whole continent in between 

I wish it was a Defender, they're silly expensive right now.

 

I'm looking at Disco IIs, found a tricked out one for €13k and another, more run of the mill for 4.5k and probably in the need for TLC..

Comfy, but not the best for motor alignment.

Threadlock was loctite green (which is strong, but I've never had it have a boner the moment I put it somewhere).

 

Not a big deal, I meant to replace it with a bog standard A2 grip anyway because in terms of motor alignment you just can't beat those.

I'd pick these three because they just work and, except for the cyma krink, they are around the €120 mark each.

It's just been released, I expect Helikon to dish out more colours with time. Ideally I would have liked US Woodland or even A-Tacs, but Taiga Green is fine too.

I always charge at 1A, takes longer but makes sure I don't kill the battery

I'm looking at something cost effective, I'm not going to use it that much to be fair, especially since 0.30g tracers are stupidly expensive and almost impossible to find.

'twas the FPS cylinder that for some reason was acting up.

 

Reverted to the old Specna cylinder and the muzzle energy is very consistent (again).

Nvm, turns out the outer barrel was shit and forced the hop unit to sit at an angle.

They look cool, but being airsoft thin, long mags never work well -.-

My collection IS complete.

Four AEGs, one bolt action, one NBB pistol, three GBBs.

All tweaked and tinkered with multiple times. Don't think I'll buy anything else in the near future.
