  1. Of the Dorset IIRCs?
  2. Mmm, the tiniest amount of barrel rotation can cause this, and the keying provided by the c-clip is only approximate. It's a wonder that more guns don't suffer from it.
  3. Presumably he's split his "Fantasist's Regrets Starter Package" and is selling the inevitable two-tone Raven Hi-Capa separately?
  4. Might be for the best, you'll get a whopping adrenaline hit the first day and it can be tiring even if you're fit as a butcher's dog.
  5. Ahoy and welcome. The cheerful disposition is most of it, and every (decent) site will take the rentals aside and talk you through the basics. If you fancy a long read, here's an excellent post covering a day in minute detail, including all the waiting and waiting and waiting... Ultimately it's just playing with toy guns, with a little bit of ouch that can make some people get tetchy. Don't take any of it seriously or personally and you'll have a blast.
  6. Ah, fair enough, if it's optional - I'm a bit sulky because my work laptop's "single sign in" has turned into "mandatory long email address, 15 character passwords, and 2FA multiple times a day". I would still note that anyone minded to swipe right could just change their password to something unique and randomly generated. Sure, data breaches, but in the event of a mass breach we're all pretty much hosed.
  7. There is no licence, and it's always illegal. However, you may have a defence. Our defence hangs on the very thinnest of pegs. It was added to the defences as the very catchy "the organisation and holding of permitted activities for which public liability insurance is held in relation to liabilities to third parties arising from or in connection with the organisation and holding of those activities". https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2007/2606/regulation/3/made This was then expanded on by some Joe Nobody in the Home Office to mean "the organisation and holding of airsoft skirmishing" and "The defence for airsoft skirmishing can apply to individual players because their purchase of realistic imitation firearms for this purpose is considered part of the “holding” of a skirmishing event" https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-violent-crime-reduction-act-2006-commencement-no-3-order-2007-firearms-measures A scheme that looks quite like the current UKARA one is described, but it's suggestive, not prescriptive. The defence in the (modified) statute is simply "to show that his conduct was for the purpose only of making the imitation firearm in question available for one or more of the purposes specified" (e.g. airsoft skirmishing). tl;dr version - the defence actually relies on future intent, not past behaviour, although you need to adduce it rather than just assert it. So book another game day, paint or strip it, be sensible with its use, and it's not going to be an issue for you. Of course, if you're not actually an active airsoft skirmisher, none of this applies, but it's not like me saying "Gonnae no spray that" will actually stop you from doing it.
  8. Mrs Borg knitted the bonnet. The patch was eBayed and cap-riveted onto my regular summer riding jacket for peak used-future aesthetics - the colours match up pretty well.
  9. Just some Space Trek thing that ran for 11 seasons in the 1990s. The tightest of tight pants?
  10. I care about stuff. Sorry to hear about the delay, I hope you come back better than you were before. Better, stronger, faster...
  11. You sit down at this table and place that bet, you best be sure you bring the scrip to be raised.
  12. I cannot offer any insights or advice, but if you don't make it, dibs on your stuff. Yup, the worst off I've had was locking up the... well, technically "brakes" on a Royal Enfield at lights. The crash bars did a great job of protecting it by landing on my knee, so give me a few years and I might be putting in for another borg implant.
  13. Not really challenging my opinion that all modern camo is just DPM that someone has spunked on.
  14. Which 11.1V 2200mAh crane? Any decent battery seller will list dimensions, which you can measure up against the actual gun that you receive. The only consistent thing about airsoft is that it's not consistent, even within a given make or model.
  15. Forcing everyone to change their password to something new, once, would be less intrusive, and have much the same effect. I'm not going to swipe right on my phone to log in here.
  16. I go in fully armed, e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304148616569 (although obviously in the best colour, beige). 8 on the arm, 1 in the gun, that leaves 4 in your pocket. In the unlikely event that you do get through 9 shells, it doesn't take long to switch in 4 new ones.
  17. A strong Jimmy Saville vibe?
  18. Ahoy and welcome. I see you avoided the classic error of selling up then regretting it later. Dual wielded MP7s sound like a laugh.
  19. Should they have?
  20. Yarp, those are much bigger bangs than .209 primers. There's no need for that in airsoft, tinnitus isn't something you can just rub some dirt in and walk off.
  21. Mmm, given the cold war and earlier gear that we've seen out there, and the unencrypted comms being picked up on Baofengs, he should be grateful that he's got more than pockets to stuff magazines in If he had any magazines. It's all going a bit Stalingrad, only that doesn't work so well when you're on the offence.
  22. Ahoy and welcome, but that's a new one on me. 9 primer detonations seems excessive. There were some small 3D printed cap firing grenades that were briefly popular (Airtac did some, then stopped) but they fired all 8/9 caps simultaneously, not sequentially. That implies fairly complicated internals. I'd be fascinated to know what that was.
