  1. That doesn't claim to have a hop, not even the fixed hop on CYMAs. That's not to say that it doesn't, but I've not had much like with tri-shot springers. My ASG Franchi has no hop and is for (very) CQB only. My CYMA CM.351 with fixed hops is (literally) all over the place, and there's no weight of BB that gives anything like consistent groupings at any range. I enjoy them, and agree that they're viable in CQB, but I reckon it's a matter of luck whether you get a usable one. Heh, we were just discussing those. They look to be out of stock everywhere that's flogging them for under £60!
  2. Wait, what? People have been drinking from your bottle? Even if they thought it was site-supplied, that's manky.
  3. That one is £9 from PatrolBase, if they had any, but they don't. £25 from Bullseye, when they have them. You can buy a different one from £69 from FireSupport, which is in stock because... well... you're not going to buy it, are you? £60 from a UK manufacturer. They're very cheap, if you're in the market for not buying one.
  4. I'll get some fresh sheets ready.
  5. Seller is BritForceFam tho. You not wanting to help our heroes, m8?
  6. Thus many (most? all?) sites requiring anyone with a MED primary to also have a sub-1.13J secondary.
  7. Some might wonder how we'd notice. Some might say "I'm leathering it because I'm really tired" isn't exactly being careful, now.
  8. Diet Irn Bru, when it's taps aff weather.
  9. If I were king of an airsoft site, I'd mandate that for DMRs, with a 2 second delay. Then I'd test them all at every respawn. Then I'd just ban them all anyway.
  10. Water + pork pies and peanuts. Eh, if you have no body fat. Simple carbs are just extra fuel on the fire for the rest of us. I guess this gets us back to the "Why don't sites provide free / at cost water" handbag fight again. [Winds up for a swing]
  11. They call themselves Black Rats because they eat their own. Strathclyde Traffic (as was) used to have an annual Christmas sweepstake to see how many other (actual) coppers they could do each December. That bike looks like a hot girl hidden inside a weird costume.
  12. That we don't know whether you need absolutely remedial advice, like "change the spring". And now you're asking about a "350fp" "DMR/sniper" and we have no idea what it is that you actually want, or why, or even whether you've got the idea that slinging 0.48g at 350fps means you don't need a MED (and yes, we have seen that assumption). If you want to be too cool for school and not actually engage with the process of figuring out what you really want, that's fine. We'll be here all night either way.
  13. I'm pretty sure that I've never heard the screech and grind of any airsoft gearbox at 25-30 (real world) metres.
  14. If the mags were all leak free, and if the spare shell had internals, and if it wasn't plus fees, and if it wasn't plus postage, and if it were something else entirely, it would be a bargain.
  15. Why? I don't ask unnecessarily, but the quality of advice that you're going to receive is largely dependent on the details that you put into the question. People do run bolt actions at low enough energies to not need a MED, but it's unusual. And anything that's not a bolt action, and running without a MED, isn't by any stretch of the imagination, a "DMR", isn't just a regular old airsoft gun not being shot very fast. So can you clarify what exactly you're wanting to achieve, and how you imagine that it will differ from what you already have, or how you play?
  16. They're sized for the oriental children who make airsoft guns, not for the overgrown occidental children who play with them. I've got strips of coloured velcro serving as bands, but elastic sounds even easier.
  17. Nah, QC springs, rotary hops and such - they seem more like whoever's OEMing the low end Specna Arms this month. Quite a strong value proposition. But they don't increase in value after you've run the batteries down.
  18. That would explain the "hardly used". "Giving up hobby, don't want to rewire my house."
  19. That should be called the "PatrolBase Buyer's Remorse Starter Pack". Is he actually asking more than new, even when you factor in the two-tone, extra mag and... oh wow... nimh batteries?
  20. Scotch schools broke up weeks ago, all the kids are up on the roofs sniping away.
  21. If your site chronos green gas pistols. Mk23s point-blanking at near-DMR energies is a pet peeve of mine.
  22. Or playing at a dinosaur site that chonos in 0.2g, or says "hop off, mate, hop off". For example, my G36C also chronos bang on 1J (OK, "280fps") shooting and hopped for 0.28g. Put in 0.2g and hop for that - or dial the hop off - and it leaps up to... well... not quite Section 5, but enough to make CQB sites shriek in horror. Luckily it has an adjustable spring guide / pre-tensioner to cool it down. If you're absolutely sure about the sites and testing policy, then chasing 1.13J is reasonable. I'm fine keeping my AEGs down at 1J with 0.28g though.
  23. I'd be surprised if you're not already under-volumed for 300mm - but I'm often surprised by what passes for physics in airsoft. If you don't get a boost, or even see a drop, you could... uh... stick some teeth... no, wait, let me think about this a bit more. 🤔 I'm invested in this process now: do you know what spring is in there? And what muzzle energy you're getting just now (and on what BB weights)?
  24. Like OP seems to be planning? I'm going to go with zero, or "airsoft zero" (i.e. an imaginary boost), unless 1) he's running a full cylinder, or 2) he changes some other variable.
