  1. Doesn't that mean you'd have to buy one first? No way in hell I'd give him money for anything 😆
  2. Hard to read your post but from what I understand your brother has UKARA right? If so then he can buy a RIF and gift it to you. (Technically you can't give him money for it because then it would be a sale which is not allowed) You will be able to use it at any game. Simple as that
  3. Be careful with the stated VAT on the purchase page. I was going to make a purchase on Gunfire and basket stated "Including VAT" Luckily I asked them and they said VAT was NOT included so I guess they didn't update their website. So I would have been charged the extra 20% on entry to UK...
  4. We shouldn't share his videos and give him more views. I haven't watched it as I don't want to have my eyes soiled Is it the full metal Mac11? I got this one a couple of years ago https://www.octagonairsoft.com/product-page/well-g12-mac-11-gas-blow-back-smg的副本 Works very nicely.
  5. Also remember that with an order over £135 from any European retailer you will have to add 20% VAT + 2% Duty + (£8 to £12) delivery extra
  6. What's up? I must have missed something. I blocked Sboardley because I don't want to get dragged down to some Facebook level argument. Since all the relevant posts were deleted by Jedi there is no record of the conversation and toxic abuse by Sboardley. He will have to deal with free speech or leave. This certainly has livened up the thread a bit. Enjoy everyone 😆
  7. In fact the only person who has been toxic is Sboardley. You're quite new here so you will learn... ...or go back to Facebook 🤣
  8. I just pointed out that 2 sites were selling for less that his quoted retail
  9. Overpriced as usual https://www.socomtactical.net/jg-sa58-fal-electric-blowback-aeg/
  10. I'd say 'Yup', that's very sneaky If I know someone else made an offer first I'd consider it sold and let it go. But with hope that the seller would later ask for my offer.
  11. Bad time to come back 😆 But welcome anyway or course 😉 For online fun I suggest to look at ARMA3 if you haven't already (Not to everyone's taste)
  12. Hi and Welcome There's plenty of information on this forum so best thing to do first is reading the sticky threads. Its great you have some toys ready to start playing when its allowed. I imagine you should be able to find a replacement charging handle if its missing but it won't affect the performance. Changing to a metal slide may cause problems with the pistol cycling. Someone here will probably be able to give more info for you.
  13. Consignments valued at more than £135 Normal VAT and customs rules will apply on importation of the goods into Great Britain from outside the UK I guess this is why Gunfire will only take orders above £135
  14. Been doing a bit of digging and this is what I've come up with so far (I may be wrong of course) All this relates to Orders Totalling above £135 (Since Gunfire in particular require this for an order) You can look up the Trade Tariff Commodity Code relating to Airsoft here: https://www.gov.uk/trade-tariff The code I found most relevant was 9304 (Other arms (for example, spring, air or gas guns and pistols, truncheons))... This category brings up this info Consignments valued at more than £135 Normal VAT and customs rules will apply on importation of the goods into Great Britain from outside the UK From what I read HERE, the VAT can be applied at source by the seller in the originating country if they're registered to do so (which most European suppliers already are) Or they may charge local TAX (which is higher than UK) (I don't think this is common for Airsoft though) If not included in the sale then it will be applied by Customs upon entering the UK and passed on to the post service who will ask you for payment before delivering (plus a handling fee because they have to pay Customs) So the VAT situation doesn't seem to have altered as most retailers add VAT to UK orders anyway. Going by the info above, the new fee is the Duty at 2% of the order value. (Not sure if that includes delivery costs) I've emailed Gunfire for their calculation of fees but not holding my breath for a clear answer. ....its a bloody mess...
  15. Almost anything could be mistaken for a firearm if held in the appropriate manner and waved around so bystanders couldn't get a decent view of it. We can all agree that people play for different reasons and I'm OK with speed-softers and paintballers etc. as long as they don't mix with my/our game style which is more milsim. I'm definitely with Shamal that if it goes too far in the speedy direction then I'll be out 🙄 (I don't think it will though) [1400 posts yay]
  16. Still confusing 🤣 Gunfire checkout says "VAT included" even above £135. I guess they haven't updated the website.
  17. So if buying from Gunfire for example... They add VAT for UK customers automatically. So if the value is above £135 (not including postage) then we still have to pay a customs handling fee?
  18. Duno if Bexit has affected imports from US
  19. Of course you can use any company usually without a problem but its a gamble because if there's a problem with lost/damaged items you'll loose your money. (Mind you, I don't know anyone who got compensation from ParcelForce either)
  20. Hmm, then its got to be taken to the post office to be sure. Though I wonder what it means by "Enhanced compensation cover is not available"
  21. ParcelForce48 are the ONLY ones who will officially take RIFs They do have a pickup service but obviously costs a bit more. If you use anyone else and it gets lost/broken then you will not be able to claim any refund. Some also state that if they find a package containing banned items (ie RIFs) they will be destroyed.
  22. I'll drink to that 🥂 Cheers all 🥳
  23. Yep got the Gunfire email too. PayPal will also updated the rules for us from 1st Jan. (Haven't checked the details yet)
