  1. The TM looks great 👍 Once you have the stock it will be complete 😁 I got a CYMA M870 folding stock and grafted it onto an ASG SPAS It worked out quite well and luckily I'm not worried about accuracy to the real one 😄
  2. Sorry to hear. Was there no option to pay with PayPal then? (Much easier to get refund) Good luck with the claim.
  3. Oooh, 11.1 in a G&G combat machine 😬 Can't say for sure if its related but I don't think its a good idea to run a standard AEG on 11.1 Good luck with it 👍
  4. Good luck finding the stock 😉 Then you'll need to find some Velociraptors 😄
  5. Sure its not the battery that's become too weak?
  6. You just missed one for £80 in the classifieds 😬 You've got to be quick 😉
  7. Remember, you don't want to aim for the legal limits. Aim to get below site limits. But be aware that chrono readings do vary between machines so you might be reading under the limit on yours but it could be over on the site one. As proven by most TM guns, you don't need max fps to be effective.
  8. I like CYMA and JG for the best price/performance ratio. But... I had the CYMA FAMAS and I didn't like it. Very creaky plastic.
  9. A single Kong Power 7.4v 1300mAh 20c will last me a whole day. I stick to single shot and only at targets I know I can hit. In a stalemate I'll move instead of the endless exchange. Of course I take about 3 batteries on a game day just in case 😉
  10. I think he did post his side in this forum but I'm not even going to try to find it 🙄
  11. If you have the strength of character it would be best to wait for new stock to come in. It should be before the end of the year so 5 weeks max.
  12. Hi, Yes, you are correct that this site only accepts adverts for airsoft equipment not blank firers. I think any site will charge a nominal amount to advertise something in that category. The only sites I can find are: Gunstar.co.uk Guntrader.uk Gunseekers.co.uk You could contact some militaria shops that sell second hand too. Good luck
  13. I'm not 100% on the details but I believe some vengeful person (family) with a grudge called the plod on him saying he was armed/dangerous so their response was due to that false report. I think his facbok post was just confirmation of their false information (IF they even saw it)
  14. Sell it in the classifieds. You won't get the full value back but 2/3 is better than nothin..
  15. I doubt the authorities would care unless its used in a crime... Then they'll start asking questions
  16. Welcome Check HERE for sites near you. Its also worth going into google maps and type 'airsoft' to search around your area. Don't worry about going on your own. Most of us started that way and within a couple of games you'll see familiar faces and likely get to know a group. Chat to people at the tables and you'll soon find the ones who are worth talking to. It doesn't matter much because during the games you just go with whoever you want and usually get split up anyway. Do LOTS of reading on the forum to get more info on gear and purchasing priorities (Hint: It isn't a pewpew 😉) Enjoy...
  17. By the way, which Blue are you using? Is it Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black? (Yes, its the American spelling)
  18. Yes, they are the main supplier of WE parts. They do have the 'split order' option for airsoft toys to get past border control 😉
  19. I just received a pistol from KYAirsoft but it took 23 days to get here. (They're in HK not China tho)
  20. Yes, that can help the aged look and also reduce the effect of over-done parts. That 'bluing' is a very thin layer so can be scratched very easily.
  21. There's a personal aesthetic thing too so everyone will have different opinions of how much is good. I'd advise to look for reference of actual parts or similar to ones you are working on. Wear on metal weapons tends to be subtle and gradual. Generally you don't see large marks where paint has been worn away. (Rounded edge) We can see you have gone in the same direction for the wear on the curved edge. Try to always do figure 8s or circles. The thumb bolts look good to me. The larger scratches could be there but I would say the military wouldn't use damaging tools on parts like that. If you want heavy wear in a harsh environment then you could put more scratches all over it but they will have to vary from long to very short and vary in strength. Its a good start 👍 Remember that it takes quite a long time to get through the paint so it will take a good while to be subtle.
  22. Yes true. FPS was stated to give a reference for those who aren't familiar with the intricacies of Joule creep
  23. Legal limits are: (All measurements with 0.2g BBs) 1.3j = 374fps for auto capable weapons 2.5j = 518fps for single shot only weapons (auto cannot be available) Most UK sites use lower limits. (For insurance reasons to make sure that an error in measurement doesn't result in allowing an illegal weapon to be used) 1.14j = 350fps for auto capable 1.49j = 400fps for semi auto (DMR) 2.32j = 500fps for bolt action (Sniper) THIS is useful for joule/fps conversions
