  1. Its the classic retail ploy to make prices look lower 😆
  2. I'm happy with my SA-E03 Its from the early release so I don't know if later versions are different. I haven't messed with internals either. Anything you get could turn out to be a lemon so as long as you buy from a decent retailer you'll be safe in the knowledge that if its DOA or fails while testing you'll be able to return it with minimal hassle. When it arrives clean the barrel (search how) and then put a hundred or more BBs through it (test hop adjustment too) If its good keep it and enjoy. If not return it...
  3. Haven't been so forgive my ignorance but is there some history there?
  4. I couldn't make it through the whole thing 😱
  5. You rarely need to clean the barrel but mainly when its new out of the factory. (I've polished the barrel on some of mine too) Experienced players might upgrade a new gun because they know what needs doing to change a certain characteristic and they have other guns as spares if something doesn't work. Some upgrades do not work well with other stock parts so it takes some experience to know what parts work well with others. We recommend playing with what you have until you have an idea of what you want to improve and then research how to do it. You might have a gun that performs better than average and not know it...
  6. We generally recommend NOT to upgrade a new gun. It often takes a few hundred BB's through it to bed in. As @concretesnailsaid, important to clean the barrel. (Be careful with the hop when cleaning) The best thing you can do at the moment is to change the connector to DEANS and get a couple of good Li-Po batteries and intelligent charger. Search the forum for more info...
  7. Been a few times and generally like it. I haven't noticed any bad instances of non hit taking. I like the terrain which has some cool options for tactical advances.
  8. You need to put this in 'Wanted' section https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/category/18-parts-gear-wanted/
  9. I think disassembly is the same as this one

Ah, I see. Also like the MK22 Hush Puppy based on the S&W Model39 Yeah, unfortunately its unlikely to work with airsoft. You could go for the MK23 non blowback. That's as quiet as you can get

Yep, agree with Hamster If the slide can't move then the vent halve won't be reset and all the gas will likely vent continuously until empty. And good point Bert, it won't be able to load another BB anyway.
  12. Er, wrong description methinks
  13. Welcome back 🖐 I think the main thing that's changed in the last 10 years is the engineering and manufacturing has improved to a point where even budget guns work well enough for general game days. You don't need to spend a fortune to get a decent metal body and accurate enough AEG. (Of course looking for perfection gives diminishing returns) Good budget makes include: CYMA, JG, Double Eagle, Specna Arms I agree with Rostok. Rent for 3 games. Yes its a pain but you'll get to try the latest budget guns to see what they're like and see what other people have to help you decide what to get. Don't get a Co2 pistol for games. Many sites don't allow them as they're often too hot. (They're a pain to use as well) TM plastic slide pistols work very well in Winter or you can get Red/Black gas for metal slide pistols in cold temps.
  14. To be honest I don't know. If you can't fix it then you've got nothing to loose sending it to him. His email is on his YouTube About page so can ask him. (Can't post his email here as its open to bot scans) https://www.youtube.com/c/Bigclive/about
  15. Yep, a good general summation of the dilemmas for getting into airsoft. (Then there's eye-pro as a whole section in itself) The easiest way to go about buying the precious pew is to have a particular model in mind. Something you've seen in films/TV, history etc. Then find out which is the best make and budget. They generally perform similarly from new unless you get to £300+ and that's no guarantee of better performance. Being a perfectionist to get absolute maximum range/accuracy will lead to frustration and misery. For easy fun with most weapons just get sneaky and use tactics to get closer to the enemy. With more experience (and preferably budget to get a backup weapon) it can be time to open up the pew for some surgery and upgrades. It is a bit of a dark art because there is no 100% guarantee that things will improve with better parts. They still have to blend well with existing components to get the full benefits. This is why its best to have that backup weapon if the upgrades aren't ready for gameday or something fails on the day. Buying second hand is not recommended for new players because its harder to recognise if something is overpriced or isn't working right.
  16. Calling @ak2m4 He can probably tell you which shell will work...
  17. Yep, somethings gone pop. Looks like plastic so have a closer look at the nozzle.
  18. Maybe worth sending to Big Clive then...
  19. I'll admit I didn't watch all of it 😏
  20. Got mine open: It does look the same as your jumper version so something else must have blown without showing any signs. As a replacement I would suggest to look at the SkyRC range. Something like this: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/skyrc-s65-ac-charger-65w-438918
  21. When originally looking for a one I was warned not to buy a clone.
  22. Lets just say you aren't the oldest 😉 CQB tends to be quite a bit higher energy than woodland games so try one of those too if you get a chance
