  1. Quite often when playing at certain venues you can the whiff of something that little bit extra menthol burning. My issue with it is that there are younger kids who play airsoft, they don't need exposing to it as well. If you're going to go and do drugs, do them out of sight and mind of everyone else. Don't affect me and I won't affect you. If you're spaced out your head and you break an ankle in the woods, don't expect sympathy.
  2. What a day yesterday! DMR in the morning and then remembered why I loved sniping in the afternoon. None of this bush wookie bollocks, fast moving and agile. Really appreciate my SRS again.

  3. Glow in the dark 3D print filament works for glowing sights but meh.... it's much of a muchness. Takes away from the practicality.
  4. It's long overdue but it's here. Full build video.
  5. Sounds interesting ?
  6. Underside of the AIP rear sight. I've heard there's a video coming out at 7pm tonight that shows you exactly where ?
  7. I see you went for the same option as me on rear site. Annoying little noggin isn't it? Dremel got mine off in 5 mins lol
  8. Red looks so clean. I could literally justify one of these slides in each colour.
  9. Maybe 2 mags per fill if you're lucky? Should manage that if you don't rapid fire them. Pistol reloads are so wholesome. I'm heading up to Halo Mill soon and plan to run only gas.
  10. Not at all. Black is beautiful. I just happen to have several other purple items waiting lol
  11. Can we guess what the next video may contain?
  12. Mine just got dropped off ?
  13. @Alimcd @leadly I have a rather excitable Kyle asking to meet up Thursday evening...... Wonder why????? ?
  14. Back on the tech bench looking at making my new 4.3 skirmish ready.
  15. Nice one, the one I have is damn sweet and he's told me the print quality is even better again! Well worth the movement to a single platform IMO. Am going to be trying my hand indoors with gas mags soon as well rather than HPA, see how that fairs up lol.
  16. @Alimcd LOL we're at Div22, new site outdoor site near us, paintball field conversion. I'm trying my hand with the DMR again.
  17. Holy crap balls! I'm meeting Kyle next weekend as well, I'll actually have the BC ? Can't wait to see yours bud. There is always something nice rainbow have. I was party to a convo with Matt earlier (Mi3D) just saying, put a small amount to one side, he's got something awesome coming.
  18. Sharing my opinion after my first time behind a DMR.

Nice write-up. I'm also still in shock it's actually ZCL!

Also, I've walked away from a days airsoft sore and aching more times than I can count but even I feel sorry for the person on the receiving end of this! ?

  19. It's a slippery slope. TBH you're not massively far away from where I was when my train track logic kicked in. I had 2 MK23's, a TM G18C and the Hi Capa when I went HPA adapter on the capa. I then converted the mags to leightweight and the rationale was "well I've got so many pistols, lets standardise the platform" so I sold off all the none capa kit and opted to use a capa in every situation. Less screwing around with holsters (and adjusting every time you change pistol), 1 set of mags 1 set of internals to learn, easier keeping spares tp hand and then a couple of builds for varying uses.
  20. I'm a promoter of "good, honest, no clickbait" content so this week I think I actually have more hits taken than given out. Clearly no super power or John Wick but I still love every game.
  21. Printed will do fine with HPA, I'd argue better than green as the impact would be a lot more constant and the output more consistent. I have been running a Mi3D build virtually exclusively since March and that thing has had well over 10K through it and hasn't missed a beat. I run 80psi though and like you have put a 5.1 length barrel in, I make a very nice 1.01J with a .25 which is fine for indoors. The idea of having a dedicated slide for for different purposes is very logical but as you've mentioned, I have almost more capa's than days of the week but I find myself gravitating towards 1 more than any of the others. You'd likely find yourself just "not being bothered" swapping about as once you find "the one" you'll stick with it. Wow! I've purposefully not been hounding him as I know he's had issues but if they're in the UK that's a huge advantage. I was tempted to stick an order in to Rainbow and see if the VIP arrived before the BC. I may just drop Kyle a message now and see what these other slides are as well..... Cheers for the heads up lol.
  22. Option 3 - Costa VIP slide. Rainbow have some at the moment, I keep saying I won't mod my skirmish build but it's so difficult lol
  23. First outing with a DMR this weekend. Wow! now I need to spend big bucks on 36's as the 32's just seemed to be falling short.

Mmm, there's quite a jump in price between .32 and .36, I'm still too cheap to make the leap.  If you splash the cash, it would be great to get an airsoft-metres estimate of how much more effective range you see from them.

@Rogerborg I was looking at pricing last night, 32s about £15 for 3000, 36's I was like oooo £18 that's not bad, yeah for 1000 not 3000 ? Comparitive brand. Cheapest I've found so far is Blaster Devils for £23 for 3000.
Site I played was a 450 DMR limit, I want to see how different a 400 site feels with the same 32's.

@Rogerborg to answer your question with the ol' range study spreadsheet @400fps equivalence (1.49j) .36's come out at 1.88m further for the "effective range" criteria, which is a hop set for 20cm of rise and the range calculated for when the bb drops back down to the firing level.

0.48's using the same criteria are 6.21m further.

of course that's assuming that the extra hop needed isn't dropping the energy, which in reality may or may not end up being more important than the theoretical improvement.

  24. New pistol time! Tried another new audio/video setup as well.
