Thanks. Probably going to sell an obscene amount of Crye gear too.

You’ve got some decent, good quality  popular gear there , priced right it’ll all shift very quickly , 2/3rds of retail is a good and fair starting point 👍🏼 however things like your MWS may command a bit more but I’d reccomend splitting those mags .

Rule of thumb seems to be 60-70% of original cost (ignoring any upgrades), personally if I see something I'm interested in I'll usually offer 50% of the new price & happy to negotiate with the seller if it's something I want to add to my collection.

If you want something that looks good, is functional and will probably hold some resell value, look at the Z-Shot Crye licensed PCs. TMC and Emerson also make good Crye replicas. They are light, well made and in the case of the JPC 2.0 and AVS, modular.

Just bought a Crye Field Shirt and a pair of Crye Field Pants in MTP. I am led to believe they were made for trials with the new Ranger unit.

I had a Classic Army AUG which I now bitterly regret selling! Was an excellent AEG.

From the classifieds the going rate has been anywhere from £350-£400 with 1 magazine, when you add in the suppressor and other magazines maybe £500 all in as the maximum price?

Think it was Ollie talks Airsoft but along the lines of in a standard mws they didn't work that well. I have an mws and have never been interested in the 20 round style mags so I can't say I focused too much on why, just lodged in the noggin they weren't great.
  13. Thanks
Dentonboy reacted to Emergencychimps in TM MWS M4A1 GBBR plus magazines, etc.
My guess would be 850 ish

Mws stock seem to get £400-450 ish second hand.

Mags seem to go for around £45-50 each (*8) seen mixed reviews on the 20 rounders in an mws, so I'd suggest selling that separately.
The extra magpul bits (to me) don't add a huge amount of value as anyone who is prepared to pay for them probably has an idea of what they want and there's a good chance, it's not those pieces (though they're good).

TM stuff does seem to retain value more than other brands second hand and mws's and mags in particular, so 50/70% of RRP doesn't work for them.

Also, whether you can even get TM mws stuff new is a gamble, TM stocks come in waves, then dry up. Sell in a dry patch and you'll get top money.

Personally I'd list it as a bundle and take lower offers if they don't want all the mags, or they don't want the grip/stock etc. Then sell them on separately.

I've only bought kit from here but as a buyer & collector I'll usually offer 1/2 the asking price or 1/2 the new price would be, as a seller I'm sure you'll want as close to the price you paid as possible, if you want to sell it fast ask for the min you'd want for it, if you're in no rush then ask for as much as you dare & be willing to negotiate. I've often offered a low price but happy to negotiate with the seller. It's up to the seller if they/you would negotiate or not.
I've offered low prices and increased my offer a few times for a RIF recently but the seller stuck to their asking price then I've seen the same item offered at a slightly lower price & bought it instead.
  15. Thanks

No idea on the package, but I have one suggestion - Sell the mags separately (ish).
Do three with the RIF and then two sets of three separately.
The package price then won't cost as much, opening up a wider market.
And the mags will sell instantly as they are rocking horse poop doused in unicorn tears sprinkled with dodo jizz.
I sold my mags a couple of years ago @£100 for three (twice). I think I underpriced them tbh.
I reckon you could easily get more.

If you have an AEG, a battery, some ammo, eye protection and a legal place to use it in, you're good to go.

    * I'd always recommend a sling

** You may want extra magazines

*** A battery charger is quite important too

Worst: tough one, there's my Cyma MP5 which never fired right from the day I got it, would work perfectly at home but get to site and it'd fire about once in every 3 or 4 trigger pulls, currently in pieces in a box. Then there was the WE Hi-Capa 5.2R, the one with the meat tenderiser on the front, loved the look of it but just couldn't get on with it in-game, sold to a mate who was really happy with it (odd bloke). There's also my SRC G36C (Gen III) I bought second hand from a mate for £80, boxed, with a load of mags, was pretty good up until the gearbox decided to eat itself.

Best: not any easier! There's my Silverback SRS 16" Sport with a few choice upgrades (thank you annual bonus!) which is just incredible. My WE G18C with the "fun switch", Mad Bull hop & Crazy Jet barrel, pretty much the range of an AEG. AEG wise, I adore my Krytac PDW MkII, light, compact and (with a Lonex inner barrel & Prommy purple) insane range and accuracy. Then there's my aforementioned G36C which went through a bit of an internal transformation after it broke, too many tweaks to list, I now run it on 0.3s, I can't wind a hi-cap fast enough to keep up with its rate of fire and it's literally like a laser (especially if I put the tracer on it), it's pretty much a one shot = one kill RIF now, and it's running at around 320fps on 0.2s.

I honestly don't know why but a lot of folk don't like to be on the opposing team to me??? 😈

Most sites around the country are woodland

Back in the olden days there were ‘off world’ games going on trespassing in genuine disused buildings, but illegal and dangerous.  You don’t need to these days

As the emergency chimp says you can now legally play in both ex MoD sites and current MoD sites - it’s definitely much better to play in a current MoD training area with the facilities actually in use

Current sites are leased by game organisers (at some expense!) and can get canceled / rescheduled if training needs change

Airsoft has had ‘easier’ access to MoD sites as BBs can be swept up, in paintball it pretty much began with Swynnerton with the organisers paying for the additional time before and after for set up and clean up, but more sites became available when clear paintballs could be manufactured and there was a surge.  With events in Afghanistan their were a few cancelled games and the novelty wore off a little
There remain a couple of organisers still doing the odd MoD site paintball games

Former sites are easier as a site can be established with regular games, and these last until the development market hits the right time for that location
This gave us the Mall in Reading until it was developed and they have since taken on an alternative site

Long standing players will say how much better it was, but these alternative locations do come and go, you just need to keep your eye open in the forums and be prepared to do some travel for the right game

Yes it is just a strange dress up fetish….

There are some very good things currently.

I have a couple of nice special rifs. But I skirmish with a couple of inexpensive “starter” ones quite effectively.

Some excellent kit from what we’re once knock off manufactuers. But then again that’s how Eagle Industries started, they were a sideline for a boat canopy maker.

When I started airsoft was by default “milsim”. All the kit surplus no real option. Many of the players were ex-paintball and wanted something that wasn’t. Less competitive and day glow.
The speed soft does remind me somewhat of paintball back in the day.

    This.

7 Years ago - when I finally realised that I was in real trouble - I was £23k in debt with Credit Cards. Luckily I was (just about) paying the minimum payment on time (so no late payments or defaults), but those minimum payments were skyrocketing, interest free offers were ending, and I was struggling.

Thing is - my Wife had no idea I was in debt.

It was when she found out that I had to confront the issue and acknowledge what an idiot I had been - all to buy the shiny newest thing and get the dopamine hit of receiving parcels in the post.  I was deeply unhappy with my job which compounded the issue as I would sit at work browsing for stuff to buy rather than...y'know...working.

It was all the more galling that I had literally nothing to show for it - I would buy stuff then sell it before I even used it (that includes Paintball and Airsoft gear). The proceeds of the sales would just get frittered away on more random and pointless crap - and never to tackle the Credit Card debt that was steadily accruing.

I was very lucky. My Wife didn't divorce me (but it was close) - I don't know where I would be today if she had. I was able to change jobs and dramatically increase my income. Every spare penny went into repaying the debt - and it took 5 years - but for the last 2 years I have not owed a penny to anyone and I am determined to keep it that way.

It can be done - I would also suggest taking a look at the 'Debt Free Wannabe' section of the Money Saving Expert forums, it helped us to identify the best course of action for the circumstances I landed myself (and family) in.

Chasing that new toy? Need a new plate carrier for an “impression”, want to be adorned in the latest forward observations group drip?

It happens to us all, we get lost down the rabbit hole, looking for that perfect load out, that ultimate “thing” that will make us the envy of Instagram / insert site name here…it costs time, it costs money…it can cost a lot more.

If you’re struggling, talk to somebody…today I nearly lost a friend who is thousands upon thousands of pounds in debt, all from trying to impress everybody else.

Is everybody doing ok? Vent here if you need, just remember it’s a game, don’t sink yourself financially trying to keep up, I’m guilty of it and I imagine there are quite a few others here too.

This is a flippant comment due to starting work 10 minutes ago, however to the point

Any day where you go Airsofting and think - worth it, or tinker and get things 'just right', buy any kit or *that* piece of kit, new gun day, first day you bring your mate along, hell even good toy cleaning day is part of the golden age.
