  1. I'm a semi-regular at RIFT so you'll be in for a treat at their sites. You've already got the main thing which is a decent set of boots with ankle support. Apart from that, maybe some gloves, plenty of liquid and a good sense of humour and willingness.
  2. I think it would be because its cheap as chips, easy to get hold of and available in pretty much every size under the sun.

Just got the waldo custom hush o rings - might be a bit OTT to call them game changers, but every TM gun is getting them from now on. Yes, including springers
  4. It's the little things that count - Waldo Custom Hush valves o-rings for my mws and glock mags. Goodbye to gas jizzing everywhere

    THE TM MWS thread

I just got a reply this morning - may be he does them in batches?
  6. KJW m700 with an M40a3 stock. Got this as a treat to myself 6 years ago - on the same day i got engaged to my now wife so i will never, ever sell it. Look gorgeous, super smooth bolt pull and just feels so nice in the hand. But being a gas sniper rifle, unless you HPA it it won't be the greatest in terms of consistency, and the hop nub on the upgraded set up isnt square either.
  7. Doing the man maths on it - £130 for a TM G17, £220-250 for a steel slide and internals, so you're up to £350 ish for that off the bat, but pre built with a new system. But can see it being £400 in UK shops.

I've got the tool so will attempt it when i get the nub and hop rubber. Saw a post from Sam at KOA, and he said use a lot of heat, and hold the rail & body while torquing so that you dont snap the gun (worse nightmare)
  9. Ive moved over to compnent shop after hobby king ='s stock started to run dry. Back on topic - I think Amazon has kinda ruined me as i now expect free next day shipping on everything. When that's unlikely, i try and order as much as i can from the same shop, but as things get held on back order or OOS i often then just give up and not bother until i reallyyy need it
  10. I've said way back on this thread if i was in the business of making custom parts, an upgraded reinforced cocking handle first thing i would make, and try and make it THE upgrade you have on this RIF. You know someone will break it at some point
  11. I would not be surprised to see a Laylax or AngryGun kit out by december for fixed stocks, SD front ends and RAS systems
  12. I put it down to Youtubers who spunk £1000's into a silverback or VSR, and then edit gameplay to make it look like they shoot lasers, rather than the truth of sitting in a bush, firing 10 rounds to hit the target, then spend the afternoon in the safe zone wondering why it's not working. People watch it, buy a novitwat or cyma/well/jg and a scope and wonder why they're not doing it, and sell it after 2 games.

Did anyone answer the phone?  Some places are pretty swamped at the moment, of course that's no excuse.

Usual advice, just fire in with a chargeback through your payment processor.  "Item not received, retailer unreachable."  No elaboration.  The sooner you do it, the sooner you'll get it resolved, and if it does turn up (and only if it or a refund turns up) you can always close the case.

I visited in store last friday (20th August) and they are open and operating, their website is just out of date. Give them a call!

Part of the gang. Now to get nubs and print a speed loader, and cut the gas tubes
  17. M249 locked up gearbox mystery solved. Wasn’t the ARL or battery, but…

Now there's something you don't see every day.  Any idea what happened there? I can't imagine how you'd get that without something else locking up first.

No clue, rest of the gears, gearbox piston all seem fine - no metal dust or anything at all in it

Although I just found a bearing/bushing has failed on a different gear, so last minute panic shopping to find some in stock

    THE TM MWS thread

So joining the MWS fold this saturday after seeing a pretty cracking deal. Game booked for sunday - anywhere i can pick up the brass nub between now and then?
  19. Yet. Give it 2 weeks and you'll get the Novi NVP90 M4 super dooper fortnite M4 a-dap-ter (or whatever 14 year olds are into these days)
  20. I think we can file this under "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should"
  21. These are the same people who play rugby just so they can make big hits and/or fight people. Or play Sunday league to two foot players. Anyway, my airsoft day… didn’t. DMR is still in a queue to get fixed after eating the mosfet, so I got my M249 out the cupboard. That then locked up during my test fire meaning I need to take it down to unlock it. I took that as a sign and moved it to next week. The most annoying bit is this would be the game to get my UKARA reactivated and I have a TAC41 waiting for me at Firesupport.
  22. G&P M249 locking up. It’s full auto only so thinking it’s battery related.

Jefftron V2 with active break and a decent shim job?

Well you completely killed my idea of what the problem could be ! 🤦‍♂️
Over the years I’ve seen plenty of guns locking up due to the connector and batt being the cause , as in low powered Batt and Neolithic tamiya connectors , say’lla’vie!
hope you solve it bud 👍

    3. Sneaky

      Sneaky

Could it be a wiring/battery issue?

Does it lock up when you use a different battery?

Keen to know as I used to have a M249 in the past.

Need to unlock it to test, but will service it, clean it and put in a jefftron whilst it’s open.

watch this space for questions on where to buy tiny springs in the next few days
