Can totally endorse this recommendation , I’ve got one and it’s an absolutely awesome piece of kit . I bought it as a back up leave in the bag ‘just in case’ my other guns go tits up but recently when I’ve been able to actually attend a gameday I find my self using it all the time ! 🤣🤣

If the civi volunteers are training with plywood cut outs of guns why not use paintball guns as well ? Would think when your training to defend the very existence of you nation and it people you'd happily use ANY form of training if it’s of even the slightest benefit ?

All true points obviously I can only speak from personal experience once I got the cheapo set up and comfy (I did add some extra bit of padding) it’s perfectly fine . I wear my helmet all gameday as well but 90% of the sites I’ve been too none of the games lasted longer than an hr and then you’ve got anything from 10mins to an hr between games depending on what time of the day it is when your not wearing it ?

Thing is with helmets realistically how long and how often are you actually going to be wearing it ? Totally agree the FMA has a shit load more padding options than the Emerson BUT the Emerson weighs less than a nat’s fart and are you going to be wearing it for longer than an hr or so at the most when you do wear it ? I’ve got a couple of high end helmets and some REALLY cheap as chips ones as well , the expensive ones are really comfortable when fitted properly and you almost don’t notice them but to be honest the cheap ones are ok to wear all day as well they aren’t uncomfortable by any stretch of the imagination so happy enough wearing them as well . Plus with the cheap ones you have the added advantage of being able to have a couple for the price of a top end one so you can set them up for different scenarios and leave them like that and not have to keep changing them around as needed because you only have one lid ?😉

You must take in to consideration theirs a good few older players on here who grew up in the “sticks’n’stones may break my bones etc etc” era so the concept of ‘passive aggressive’ or god forbid the ultimate transgression off ‘OFFENDING SOMEONE !’ Is just a load of bollox to us lot and our outlook has always been “just grow a set and move on” talk on the internet has no value , if you don’t like what someone says ? Ignore them and move on . End of the day it’s like @Tacklesaid just block the ones you don’t like and if someone’s not happy with the way a thread is going leave it and comeback in a couple of days when the next ‘in-depth heated discussion’ occurs ? 😉

To be fair a sad back story does warrant a wee bit of leniency but not a lot of baring on wether something gets a negative critique or not when it’s posted up in the public domain . it’s like when you get someone on a tv no talent show and they truck out a sad story of how they grew up on their own living in a discarded biscuit tin because their father ran away with the next doors neighbours granny , their mother died of the mange and the ambulance taking her to hospital ran over the dog as it pulled away ! Not intentionally pissing on your parade but the kind of players who’d go to a mil-sim game in a realistic tier1 get up wouldn’t need a guide and probably know a lot more about the subject than you would ? The opposite side of the coin if a play needs to refer to a ‘how to look like Superman’ guide I’d have thought they’d have a shit fit when they see how much it’ll cost them to put it together and not bother !

Bought it as piss take as much as anything but turns out it’s an absolute corker of a gun and I love using it ! 😁 PS if she does decide she enjoys the game I can set you up with some pink P90 mag pouches if you want as I’ve been making and mod’ing pouches , slings , holsters , and what not as a side hobby for a good few yrs .👍
