Exactly , one of the biggest piss takes I find by British retailers is the way so many of them charge us the customer ex amount extra on top of everything else their charging to stop them the retailer selling a gun that’s unfit for purpose in the UK ! ? like seriously WTF ??‍♂️

Haven’t a clue about the parts but I would say make a concerted effort to source them elsewhere as I’m pretty sure buying the parts from DCA your going to get bent over the table pounded from behind and no one will even have the good manners to give you a reach around !?

Not airsoft but I did buy it !? serial numbered signature edition ‘Rambo first blood’ knife , it’s the first copy that’s been endorsed by Stallone so it’s also the most screen accurate one to be released so far . All I have to do know is think of an appropriate way to display it safely ??

The hamster is absolutely spot on , it comes down to what you personally like AND what your willing to pay for that something , but never ever buy anything thinking it’s an investment , it won’t be airsoft is just too much of a ‘niche’ sport with too few dedicated players to buy and keep things as investments . I’ve always had the outlook of “if I can afford something and I want it then I’ll buy it , I’ve got an awful lot of guns I’ve bought over the years that I’ve probably only used two or three times if that but I’ve still got them because I wanted it simple as that really . Good example is the pulse rifle I recently bought , first gameday I took it too I used it for one short game put it back in the bag and to be honest unless it’s going to be a ’themed’ game I can’t really see me using it again BUT I’d never get rid of it as I’ve always wanted one .?

Also at these more ‘immersive’ type events be prepared to encounter a greater number of stitch counters and gear snobs than at a ‘normal’ scurmish day . It’s just the nature of the beast , as these events are normally based around a set scenario where you do have to follow a ‘script’ as it where so you will get more of the anally retentive type players their than the ‘run around with an AK and a hi-cap in my trakkies having a whale of a time !’ Players like you get at an open walk in game day .

In a nutshell you’ve highlighted exactly why I did post this up , I know we’ve always had the chancers and out and out scammers (is that you ‘mr’ Glenny ?) in the 2nd hand market place but over the past yr or so I have definitely seen an increase in the numbers of buyers making really ridiculously low offers on items I’ve been selling and then getting all pissy when I’ve said no as if there doing me a favor by buying my what ever ! , I’ve always been of the “if XYZ is in good Knick you start at 30% off new price , I also always do an ’all in price’(hate it when you see a number THEN you have to add paypal fees and P&P on top !?)and then work from their , you have a price you’d like and the price you’ll go down too not difficult is it ? AND an increase in the numbers of sellers having over inflated ideas of the value of what ever it is their selling and getting quite worked up when I’ve offered less than they asked even when I’ve given a valid reason for the price I’m willing to go up too . So yea dealing with this chap has really renewed my hopes for the community , but saying that I’m sure the next sale I’m involved with the seller/buyer will try and roger me senseless ! ? ???????

Right recently I was royally ripped off while buying a well mp7 of the Mong , when it arrived the condition was shit it was an ex two-tone which wasn’t mentioned in the ad and all in all just a shite gun , so I complained firmly but politely to the seller and received back nothing but attitude from then on any way long story short after paying £134’ish in total from buying it and then sending it back for a refund of only £110 (he said he wasn’t a retailer so wouldn’t reimburse me for fees as P&P as the gun did match the advert) tried getting the rest back through paypal but that was a dead end . Now on to the reason for the title , over the wknd a TM came up on the Mong seemed a bit too good to be true BUT after a bit of back and fourth with the seller the vibes where good so bit the bullet and bought it , arrived this am and all I can say is upon opening the box I genuinely did feel like the proverbial kid in a sweet shop ! With all the bits’n’bobs I got for an excellent price . So whole point of the ramble is to just let you all know their are still players selling kit that you don’t have to have some kind of previous ‘history’ with to not be continually worried your about to get stitched up ! here’s the ad for the well and the TM and a pic of the contents of the box , he found a couple of extra bits so chucked them in the box free of charge ! ?

F**k that’s a ruff one to deal with my friend . off on a tangent(well this is AFUK after all !?) back in the days of only 3 tv channels my brother thought it was a good idea to screw a brass dart on to the end of the length of bamboo he was using as an arrow and shoot it at me , it just missed my eye and hit me in the eyebrow where it stuck , the reason I realised it had stuck was as I came too laying on the floor all I could see through the scarlet haze of my vision was pink clouds and a bamboo stick standing straight up in the air ! As I sat up the vertical stick became a horizontal stick(which due to its weight made it hurt like fuck !) and my brother giving it legs in to the distance ! SO I made my way home grizzling like a good un slug trails running down my face mingling with blood and snott bubbles appearing from my nostrils(never at the same time always alternating nostrils never did figure out how that happens , just another one of life’s great mysteries I suppose ?) any hoo get home stagger up to the front door knock on it( not an easy task when you’ve a 2ft bamboo sticking out of ya noggin !) mum answers it sees me let’s out a blood curdling scream at the sight of me which wakes my dad up who was sleeping in his chair after a hard days work spoiling squaddies days(he was military police?) he gets up stretches , burps , farts scratches his arse walks up to me say “ooohh that looks nasty who did it too you ?” As he places his hand on my forehead and yanks it out whilst also saying to my mum “stick a plaster on it he’ll be fine !” I tell him my brother did it . Several hrs later as it’s starting to get dark I see him skulking down the back path to the house so I rush over to dad saying “Garry’s coming in through the the back door !” He gets up and just stands behind the door with the bamboo in his hand , my brother slowly enters the room looking around to see where my dad is and instantly assumes the fetal position on the sofa and my dad proceeded to deliver what I thought was one of the classic beating of the 70’s with the bamboo and me standing next to him going “hit him harder dad , hit him harder !” Years later much to my horror I discovered dad wasn’t actually hitting him but neither me(on my vengeance high) nor my brother(in the grip of abject fear)realised he was actually hitting the sofa not Garry ! Talk about having justice stolen from you ! I tell you I was feeling like Gerard Butler in ‘law abiding citizen’ I felt so wronged by it !?

Was told Specna by a rep from Arthurian .? Oh A2 all the way ! ?

I know it’s above that price range but I’ve got an Arthurian airsoft M4 and I think it’s an amazing piece of kit . Specna are the OEM for Arthurian and the guns are ‘pre-upgraded’ in the factory to their own specs(much like the deal Taiwan Gun has with Cyma) and I can’t recommend them enough .

Possibly the result of being overly confident in what the armour could protect from so take greater risks and end up with worse injuries ? Yup all of the above , I do hate it when someone tries to pigeon hole others but my take is it’s sort of like the whole ‘alpha male/female V beta male/female’ thing , the people who are willing to take risks(no matter how regulated and controlled they may be)seem to generally be drawn more to the pastimes based on individual achievement and not as much on ‘team’ achievements , and as a result more chance of injury than the “I’m not doing that I mite get hurt” type of person who generally stick to structured team pastimes which have a lessened risk of injury. As an example In Airsofting yes your on the blue or red team but there not teams in the traditional sense where everyone has an assigned job to perform these teams are almost more of a faction than a team used purely for group identification purposes , so we can tell ‘our team’ and avoid shooting our own side ‘in the heat of battle’ as it were . So more of an Alpha than a beta because there prepared that if they do fail then it’s a good chance it’s due to their own failings and not really the teams responsibility ?
