  1. You can see some of the winding wheels of the hi cap mags in the movie 28 Weeks Later! Never noticed that before. How often is airsoft used in movies?

probably quite a lot, easy to obtain for film makers or defense. Very cheap to buy lots of various models to use - but ffs use mid/low caps or you might as well show the motor height in grip as well

Yeah can't possibly see a reason for using a hi cap, bit strange really

All the time! They have to pay for an armorer to be onset if real guns (even blank firers) are used, so any scenes with no shooting tend to use airsoft. Or they will use airsoft and add the firing effect rather than using blanks. Most of John Wick's pistol scenes are airsoft GBB pistols for safety reasons. They digitally added the effects.

  2. Heard Beta mags need a bit of work for some guns. I've got PMags with the window and dummy rounds, but no idea what brand. Definitely not top quality though, they don't even have that '80' marking on the top (if it did, not sure what number it would be, but that isn't the point). Why do they have 80 on the top though? Says mag capacity is 75 Anyway, as I said, the thread above is a good reference point. They worked in a Combat Machine after.
  3. Maybe he will be interested in it, who knows. If not, then I will list it Any idea of a price range for these? Think I originally picked it up for about £40, just not sure what resale will be due to it being second hand, albeit barely used.
  4. Anyone know how to stiffen up a flip up sight cover? One of em' moves a bit too freely for my liking

needle and thread and use the needle to wrap some thread through the hinge around the end of the pin for the hinge. This will add friction.

      Will try that, thanks :)

  5. Aimpoint T1 Replica is pretty good. I have one but I use a different set of optics now so it only had about 1 hour in the spotlight. Nice high mount so you don't need to break your neck trying to look down it. Just sitting in a box now though.
  6. Angel custom M4 to MP5 conversion. Not really needed or anything, just sort of want it for the sake of having one. http://www.evike.com/products/46966/ Would probably make a stubby M4 and use that in it, but I am broke after just buying a Madbull SOCOM stock and a 335mm suppressor. Cost of getting it shipped and the customs just makes it a bit too expensive to order for what it is though
  7. Probably just bought the longest airsoft suppressor there is. This will be interesting. 335mm

pretty damn sure somebody had that Raider up for sale with a custom made mofo outer barrel they made at work...

The Raider has outer in 3 bits so they made a mofo tube to go on as the last piece I think. but damn sure it was on here

Try a different browser, or the same browser on a different computer. I had stability problems a while a ago, I learned control A, C is your friend. Also try your browser's Safe Mode.

  10. Anyone know how to stiffen a flip up sight cover? The one on my 3x magnifier isn't as firm as the one on my M2000 sight

  11. Since getting into airsoft, I've noticed myself using the word 'mate' a lot. Seems to be everywhere

Ive started started using the word c*nt more usually following the word cheating. Also started using the word REALLY as the person I just blatantly shot tries to run off without taking it. Also using the word bitch as in stop crying like a when the second shot hits them some where they cant ignore.

    4. Sitting Duck

      Sitting Duck

I can completely relate to that.

surely you gotta have felt one of them shots you cheating ---t.

      But stop calling me Shirley

  12. £10 short of a SOCOM stock... Just my luck

  13. Got a higher cantilever mount and now my magnifier and m2000 sight align perfectly - looks like a scope. Gun is coming together! Next is an expensive SOCOM stock...

  14. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/27183-how-to-make-a-pmag-fit-your-m4-platform/ This helps get the Pmag deeper into the magwell. Worked for my King Arms BW15, mate's G&G Raider and for the user Qlimax. Our problem was that one of the mag's lips were blocking the mag from meeting with the hop up unit and so it would either feed very badly or not at all. Maybe you're in the same boat
  15. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/27183-how-to-make-a-pmag-fit-your-m4-platform/ I had issues with PMags, including with a mate's G&G Raider. Sounds like a similar problem. Worked for me and Qlimax - they work like a dream now. Hope it helps
  16. If you're getting a Blackwater gun, do not go to CYMA. King Arms/Cybergun Blackwater BW15 is where it is at. Got one myself and it is absolutely fantastic. Has a unique look to it as well because of the handguard. CYMA is just asking for trouble.
  17. Ah you have access to Evike without the ridiculous charges... Always wanted a specific item from there, but with all the charges, it comes to too much for what it is... They've got some great stuff though
  18. Not really for airsoft, it is more so to do with a short movie with a few friends. Not confirmed, but just seeing what is out there.
  19. I'm sure we've all seen the movies where special forces tape their mags together (one being upside down, so they can just flip the mags around). I didn't find that to be practical with my PMags, as it'd just make them too long and I wouldn't be able to use my bipod properly. So, I took the root of making a DIY magazine coupler. I did it because it allows you to change your mags in a split second which is pretty useful. Tape is fairly discreet so you don't look like a massive bellend. ----SORRY FOR THE GIANT PHOTOS, NOT SURE HOW TO RESIZE---- All you need to do is put one or two spacers (placements in pictures below) about 1 to 1.5cm thick (to make sure the mags don't hit the magwell lip), stick them down to the mag (with more tape!) put the second mag on top, and tape them together. Use quite a bit of tape and wrap the tape fairly tight to hold the foam or whatever you're using as a spacer in place. FYI: The spacers are just bits of stacked foam wrapped in electrical tape. You can use whatever you want. I know there is a magpul on one of the PMags, but I took it off once I had finished and put tape around the bottom instead - no point have a magpul. Here it is: Where to put the mag spacer(s). You will be fine with putting one, but two makes it more sturdy:
  20. You see, I've always been interested to know what guns you have. The 'WAY TOO MANY' has sparked my curiosity. Is there a list floating about anywhere?
  21. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Airsoft-Paintball-RIS-Rail-Covers-XTM-Covers-Rail-Covers-RIS-RAS-Covers-/151369501521?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item233e534b51 Probably not in time for the weekend (just after!) but that is the fastest compared to the ones from Hong Kong. 22. Well, revolvers have never really been a practical option. Incredibly low ammo capacity, no hop up and shells. Just try and picture that vs a full auto G18C with an extended magazine. There isn't really much use for a revolver in a standard game, other than just for the fun of having one. It is a bit like having the RPG. As for the FPS, I've got no idea.
  23. I was actually thinking of writing this but I thought nobody would have any idea what I was on about xD Thank you.
  24. Personally, I am 'addicted' to putting attachments on my gun. Of course, for practicality, but also because a gun with the right attachments looks incredible - to me, anyway. Admittedly, there are those out there who like to keep their attachments to a minimum and avoid the whole tacti-cool look, but who cares about that sh*t. Have fun with your gun, and make it yours! It is, after all, your gun. If it were my gun, I would change the attachments, but that is just to suit me. I always find guns with a bunch of attachments more interesting. A general guideline though: If your gun is becoming way too heavy, or is getting difficult to practically use, then you may have one too many things on your gun. As long as you don't end up looking like the picture below, you'll be fine.
  25. I managed to receive a GBB gun with gas/co2 mags and a few Co2 cylinders today - ParcelPete/IPostParcels don't seem to kick up a fuss about it. I've used them for my airsoft related deals, and they haven't had any problems with contents (even with 'RIF and accessories' or whatever in the description). Definitely wouldn't use RM. Good to see your situation has been resolved to the best it could.
